Detailed down to the smallest detail. From Stuttgart City to Bad Cannstatt, as we know it from before. The focus is not just on the opulent railway facilities. Much of the surrounding area has also been recreated true to scale. And even the good old Berta Epple is at anchor at the Wilhelma. Great! There are stools and stairs for children to look at the tracks and the many moving trains. Stuttgart connoisseurs will smile at the many realistic details. Volunteers are happy to provide information and look after the gigantic show. Respect! Many visitors are the best reward for this.

(Translated by Google) The Stuttgart Miniature Worlds show the N-gauge model "S signal box" built by Wolfgang Frey over 35 years of the Stuttgart city center around the main station. The facility has been designed with great attention to detail and differs very positively from show facilities such as the brightly colored and somewhat Disney-like miniature wonderland in Hamburg due to its scale and the natural, rather muted color scheme. The fascination of this facility is mainly due to the fact that it is the work of a single person who has dedicated almost his entire life to this project. Since March 28, 2022, the system can be admired directly opposite Stuttgart Central Station. However, there still seems to be disagreement about the exact address, the website names Arnulf-Klett-Platz 1-3, the Google Maps entry house number 29 on the same street. At the time of the visit, the system had only been at this location for almost two weeks, which meant that some things still seemed a bit unfinished: - the model railway operation can be described as minimal and runs exclusively manually and with many errors, which very often require trains to be nudged and rerailed. The layout should therefore be approached more as a model than as a railway layout - the hanging QR codes with audio guides often do not work. On the day of the visit, about half were not working - One would like more information about Mr. Frey himself in the exhibition, interviews, chronological classification of the construction phases, different installation sites of the system, etc. This comes rather briefly The new location of the exhibition is well chosen, as it is exactly in the area of the model shown. After the completion of Stuttgart21, the facility will therefore have a special value in giving a glimpse into the past of the area. At the moment, the exhibition is still very unwelcoming from the outside. We almost walked past it, as it looks like one of the many sports betting branches thanks to the fully bonded window front on the entrance side. The bright, modern rooms, the staff who can be contacted at any time and the fact that Frey's work has been made accessible to the public again are positive. Finally, value for money: a family of four with two school-age children pays 28 euros (April 22). This is just about acceptable, but a family tariff should be considered if necessary.

The exhibition is simply brilliant. The masterpiece of railway model building can be seen here. What Mr. Frey has achieved is very admirable. There are so many details to discover. The madness. There is a great search game for children. We can only recommend a visit here.

It's definitely worth paying a visit to Stuttgart's miniature worlds. History comes to life here.

Eintritt Erwachsene 9€

If you want to look in peace, there have to be a lot of visitors inside. The facility manager talks your ear off. He talks and talks and talks, including a lot of private things I was there where I could cleverly avoid him

It's unbelievable what Wolfgang Frey created by himself and without any kits. One cannot thank the members of "Stellwerk S" enough for preserving the work. The new exhibition location near Stuttgart Central Station will certainly help to attract more visitors.

Fascinating. Big praise to the association for making this facility accessible again. The true-to-original replicas of railway systems and important parts of the state capital fascinated my daughter and me. Although we have a model railway in H0 scale, you can see a clear advantage of the N gauge. Because it would be impossible, for example, to represent the main station with the track apron in a larger gauge. By the way: The train station and other buildings are also recreated from the inside. So it's worth taking a look through the windows. An impressive model building life's work by Wolfgang Frey that you can bow to. By the way, there are two smaller model railway systems in H0 scale on the upper floor (and another on the ground floor) with which smaller and larger visitors can play and get interested in model railways again. The employees are super nice and are happy to provide information about the system and model building in general.

An incredible achievement from Mr. Wolfgang Frey. You can reminisce about the time at the end of the 2000s. A lot of details can be found again. Unfortunately, the facility was a bit dusty when I visited. A great achievement from the club and the volunteers to present the facility.

The miniature model railway system is really worth seeing. The old, original Stuttgart from 30 years ago has been reproduced here with great attention to detail. This is certainly very exciting for locals. If you come by as a tourist it is rather nice to look at, but you would be through in 15 minutes. BUT - there are still hard-working helpers who try to keep the system running and they explain with enthusiasm which part of the system is located where in Stuttgart, what Stuttgart has rebuilt, what has been changed, etc. Even the small, important details Attention is drawn to the creation and various gimmigs. Of course it's not as demanding as in Hamburg, but it's worth seeing. Also because you get a lot of old knowledge from Stuttgart. Without the explanations, the visit wouldn't last 1 1/2 hours but only 15 minutes. That's why I'm deducting 1 star. I don't think that two hard-working helpers could handle a larger rush. @Team: please keep it up - you're on a great path

This place is amazing and, though currently somewhat small, is incredibly detailed and highlights Stuttgarts massive rail presence. The layout is growing to include the airport area as well. The owner was on site and very keen to highlight his 30 years of building these models!

Place is great for miniature train lovers. 4 stars because the guy at the reception was not the best of the whole experience.

It is very interesting and incredible what was put together. The tour guide was really impressive how much he knew. Also interesting for the children as they had to look for scenes.

Our original estimation was that the visit won't last more than half an hour. How wrong! The level of details, captured in what was Stuttgart couple of decades ago, will keep you in this Museum way longer 😊 Museum personnel can also tell you a very interesting story how this idea started and how it became a (more than) local topic.
