I am an active over 55 yrs of age person with 2 types of heart disease who run, bike, swim and cross-train. I had been seeing many cardiologists in the Hampton Road area but always still not feeling my optimum. I remembered Dr. Newby from the hospital I was working as a nurse and remembered how the staff praised him and his patients may have come in sick but left so much better and manageable en route to recovery. I sought his care and as his patient now, I am truly happy and my fears have been abated. He listened and I have noted he is not the type of doctor who is just book-learned but willing to try other venues for better and faster care. I like someone at times to look outside the box and be willing to seek new ways. Other cardiologists I had seen in the past were closed minded. I am glad to be his patient now, I leave my heart in his hand and I continue my journey for better health mentally and physically. I owe this to my body. Dr. Newby is truly a blessing.

Dr. Newby is an Awesome Cardiologist. He answers all your questions and actually takes the time to comfort, educate and nurture. I appreciate his staff being caring and professional. I would recommend Dr. Keith Newby, Excellent Cardiologist.

Dr. Keith Newby is one of the best cardiologists in town. With good bed side manners. If you do as he say you will be back on your feet and in good health in no time. If a cardiologist is what you need look no further he's the doctor.

Horrific manners with me as referred military patient. No respect for the care my military doctors provided to me and yet I was referred to him by Tricare for secondary care. He stated outright to me that my prior military medical services and prior records/procedures are "crap" and were of no relevance to him. He prescribed medication on a "let's try and see" basis and schedule me for a cardiac procedure at the end of 2016 although I just had the same procedure done Jan 14, 2016. Had I not pitched a fuss several times and solicit assistance with his office manager, I would have been under the knife putting myself further at risk because he didn't slow down, review my records and take the time to truly assess me, my ailment, and properly treat me.

There is very little wait time and the staff is cordial. Dr. Newby is extremely attentive to my family’s needs. We don’t feel rushed when discussing our health. I also find him patient and kind. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a competent cardiologist.

Dr. Newby is extremely conscientious and quite concerned about our health and our questions. His staff makes you feel welcomed and at ease. The visit appears to be important to Dr. Newby and his staff and from check-in to check-out, we always feel important, appreciated and wiser about our health needs. Dr Newby is very personable. He takes time to listen to his patients. Been seeing him for 10 years now, and very satisfied. His staff and nurses are efficient and friendly.

Dr. Newby shoukd have never taken new patients if his practice is so busy. I wiped for an appointme t for a long time.When I went he was in the room. All of 5 minutes to ask two questions and said to set up for echocardiogram and nuclear stress test. It took a long ti.e to hear from Dr. Newby and when I did, he sent info in portal. When I asked questions regarding blockage he said oh I think I read into the test and we will do Renexa until end of May. After an emergency room visit and lack of concern when the docs called to speak with him, I listened to others and got a second opinion. Now, the new doctor had gotten the test results and within two weeks I was in for a heart catherization only to find out my right coronary artery was 95% blocked and my left was 85% blocked. If the new cardiologist fou d an answer within the test results why didn't Dr. Newby. Dr. Griffin and Nancy Stout with Cardiovascular Associates are very stout and caring physicians and nurse practices.

Nice Staff, very nice and agreeable Dr. He spend all the time I need, explain everything to me and answer all the questions I have without any rush. I will definitely come back and will refer him to my friends.

The young woman who does the bone density lab named Kim is a remarkable lady she was so patient and kind and helpful with my mom I was so touched by how gentle and sweet she is. Thank you for your kind assistance Ms Kim
