Really cool little bistro that's a little out of the way. I didn't even know there was an area for shops in that part of the city. The sweet potato fries are the best thing I got. The burger I got was really good, but it was literally dripping with fat and that made the bun soggy... still good enough that I would get it again!

Great atmosphere and the service was A+. The outdoor seating on the fire is really good and it's nice to look at. Food was really good as well and seasoned. Also came in a very good portion. The drinks come at a good price and they are very good as well. Just an overall in the cut place that is definitely worth going to and visiting again and again.

Great later night dinner place with a very nice appearance. Good pimento balls for a appetizer. The burger was fantastic perfectly cooked and amazing sweet potato fries must try.

I stopped here 1 day just to have lunch and the food was excellent and I really loved this restaurant. It is tucked away in a nice quiet little neighborhood. The people who work here were also really really nice. I will gladly go back here any day.

In the Chelsea district of Norfolk you can find this great restaurant. Inside and outside seating available. Happy hour from 3 to 7 with discounted drinks. Rotating local beers on tap. The food is well priced and good portion size and tasty!! We will be back.

Food was great! Reasonable prices and restaurant had a nice setup; friendly and welcoming. Had our dog so outside seating was needed. Server was not happy and looked like she wanted to be anywhere but the restaurant which is why the 3 stars. The other server waiting on another table was friendly and genuinely happy. Feel our server was simply young and needs more training

Great burger. I ordered The Sweepstakes (bacon, fried egg, burger, and pimento cheese). I am not a fan of pimento b/c for me, it doesn't add to anything unlike Swiss, American, gouda, etc. I ordered it medium-rare and they got it right. Good stuff. I walked in around 12pm during a weekday so service was fast. Fries? Great. Really enjoyed them -- probably freshly cut fry from the previous day and served the day of -- which is great regardless. Prices have risen ($11 to $13.50 on some menus but actually right on other platforms.) It is a 4 to a 5 star but I'll leave it at 4 which is above average. P.s. My picture is of a half-eaten burger so it doesn't represent well but it's good. Note: This is based on one experience so if I came back several times and they were consistently this good, 5-star in the future.

Wonderful food - i had a great black bean burger and fries. The sweet potato fries are really to die for. Cute ambience - urban chic. The food took a little while to come out but our service was very good. Reasonable prices. It was bustling but not overwhelming when we went on a Saturday night. There's no parking lot but there is street parking.

Went for lunch. The place was clean and the server was inviting. Tried the lumpia and burger which was underwhelming but edible. I didn't try any of the drafts. Would consider coming back to give them a try!

What a great find when walking the Elizabeth River Trail. The Torch welcomes dogs with their humans to a great outside patio with multiple fire pits. The server was friendly and attentive. We opted for sharing two appetizers and a side Caesar salad with our wine. We would order the same again but when we go back will try more of the inviting items on the menu. Plenty of brews and sodas to choose from as well. Relax and enjoy!

Went for lunch on a fall weekday and sat at the bar. The place was mostly empty as this is primarily an after work or weekend hangout. Regardless, the service was awesome and the burger (I had the classic with pimento cheese added) was perfect! If you are a burger connisuer, it's worth a visit. They have a great selection at the bar too.

Great food and service by attentive, friendly staff. Large, well-stocked bar with lots of seating. The industrial decor is surprisingly warm and chic. The outdoor fire pits and big roll-up glass door make for a great gathering spot that brings indoors outside!

Came to Torch because it smelled so good and we had eaten here before. We got the crab dip, fried pimento cheese balls and The Godfather sandwich. They all were awesome! They also have a great lineup of beers on tap. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and great beer! The service was great as well!

Took a cute girl on a date here, we sat outside and chatted and ate and it was awesome, I made a lot of jokes about ordering The Clogger, and I am so glad I didn't let the name intimidate me because it was incredible. A burger smothered in pulled pork and cheddar cheese melted over it. Very tasty. Great service, burger was incredible despite being medium though I ordered rare. It was seriously sooo good.

Really relaxed place. We sat outside because it was a nice night. Food was really good, didn't try any of the beer or cocktails myself but others in our group liked them. It is close to a few other places so if you are looking to bar hop it should definitely be part of your route.

Burgers are my typical go to. Especially pimento cheese burgers. I had one at Torch the other day and it was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. Best burger I've had this year! Unfortunately the only thing I didn't get to try were the pimento cheese balls as they were sold out :-( .

Great food, great drinks and awesome service. A welcoming little spot that feels like the local spot that is in every town. The prices were great especially for the portion size. Lots of options without being overwhelming.

This place would be 4 stars if they cleaned up a bit. Maybe it’s hipster but to me it was a little dirty. But the seared tuna was great, I ordered a beer I hated on accident and they replaced the beer without charge so service was amazing! Try it for yourself!

I have been in VA 20 days. Went to this place for lunch. I normally tip 20 percent or more. My order was 33.75. Vanessa P gives me back 6 dollars and no 25 cents. I asked her are you out of change. She says we round up. What!!😡😒. There is no sign or posting of this. How dare you? 😤 I had to get back to work. With these gas prices and recession. Are you kidding? First thing everyone ask me when I returned is where is this place? No business from this building we sending out a building wide email.

Dank food I recommend the BuffaloGrilledCheese, super chill waiter who never let our cups go empty, polite staff. Great place. I'll be back for sure.

Love the remodel! So much more outdoor sitting which I absolutely love especially in these times. One of my favorite spots, its a gem in the city. Great food, great vibes, great beer!!!

Nice patio/bar atmosphere! This drink I had was the "Torch Tea" (unsweetened) and it was ok. The "tea" flavor was kind of weak and would have liked to have more. But that may be just a preference thing. Not necessarily a bad thing. The Black Bean Burger I ordered was kind of dry as they did not put any mayo, ketchup, or anything so I had to ask for some mayo.

Their name says it: they have gas fires here and there, including in a large outdoor dining/drinking/communing-with-friends area. They contribute nicely to the atmosphere. I had a bowl of chili--just right for a cool evening outside--and my partner had her favorite wings in house-made barbecue sauce. Good selection of beer. When I inquired, the server came back with, "What are you looking for?" I told her, she made a recommendation, I accepted and enjoyed it. It's a good place to meet friends after a show. That's why we were there. We had just performed at The Push Comedy Theater and wanted to bask in the afterglow. It was a good decision.

Every time we go here we have nothing but a great experience. The wait staff is great and very punctual. The food has been amazing each time we go.

The burgers and wings were good. Ranch dressing is like Red Robins (yum). Fries overdone, skinny and greasy. Table protective sealing was sticky/tacky, making it feel like the table was dirty. Our toddler enjoyed the connect four yard game on the patio. Wait staff was average.

One of my favorite Food places. Every time I go I get the Buffalo chicken grilled cheese with sweet potato fries. Vanessa and Sydney are always on 1 step ahead of me whenever it comes to asking for more water.
