    There was a mistake in billing by hotel, and I ended up paying for two rooms twice. I didn't discover it until I returned home. I contacted manager at hotel and was assured she'd check into it and money would be refunded in 7-10 days. I never received the refund, and they have completely ignored me since. I've tried contacting manager by phone and email several times. She never responded. We would have been repeat guests, along with another family member who stays there annually. Even though we like the hotel and its amenities, none of us will be staying there again because of the way I've been treated.

    Bedbugs. Disgusted. Definitely NOT anywhere close to a 3 star hotel! Terribly outdated, old tile in bathroom, sink missing stopper, water sprayed everywhere, dirty at best-mold at worst in the shower, what appeared to be mold on the ceiling in the bathroom (above the shower). Old out dated sticky carpet, beds with springs and thin bedspreads. Coffee pot looked corroded and like it hadn’t been cleaned. We arrived, changed clothes quick and headed out until 10pm. I woke up the next morning itching, but was in a hurry. The itching got progressively worse. If you guessed bed bugs/bug bites, then you would be right! When we returned home, I had to purchase 2 different anti itch creams, 2 types of allergy meds, a prescription steroid, and a trip to urgent care. With little relief from the bed bug/bug bites. *See pictures. One of me the night we arrived at Norfolk Country Inn. The other pictures are a few hours after we left the hotel (only stayed one night). My skin has actually gotten worse. I emailed the manager and called three times! The manager/owner still has not gotten back to me. At this point it sounds like he’s avoiding me, because he conveniently “just left” or “will be right back”. At the very least I deserve a refund and reimbursement for the medications I had to purchase. How this place is able to operate as a 3 star hotel is beyond me! Like others have said, the pictures do not look like the actual property. And they clearly have an issue (which isn’t surprising with the actual state of the property). Whatever you do, if you value your health, don’t have time to spend at the doctors office, don’t want to be miserable itching, and don’t want bed bugs/bug bites, then DO NOT stay here. I gave 2 stars because the two ladies that I talked to were very nice.

    I arrived late at night after seeing advertised prices listed at $64. I walked in and was met by the most rude, unkind customer service individual I have ever encountered anywhere in my life. It was incredibly awkward despite my efforts to be upbeat and kind. She told me there was only one room remaining for $100. I told her I would maybe look elsewhere as I only needed a place to crash for a few hours. Upon reconsidering, I ended up just booking a room online in my car (which saved me $10) and went back in. I cannot even explain how rude this person was. She acted as though I had ruined her life by walking in the door. I told her I had booked a room, but that I did have a dog which I wanted to add on. She said that room was not a dog friendly room and she would need to move me to a $64 room (despite at the beginning of our conversation telling me she had one room left at $100). No matter what, she couldn’t move me to a downgraded room. I understand this because I booked through a third party. My issue was her attitude through it all. Ultimately, I had to pay for the $100 room, plus a pet fee, all to stay in a $64 valued room. I stood at that desk for 45 minutes all for her not to be able to figure anything out until I just offered to pay the $100 while staying in the cheaper room. To which she said, “why would you want to pay for a more expensive room when you’re not going to be staying in it? That doesn’t make any sense.” Even though it appeared there was no other solution or refund option. I drove my car to the room, unloaded my things, only to find the room not cleaned and apparently occupied- very gross, half eaten food everywhere, linens everywhere, etc.. I drove back to the front desk and when I walked in, she tipped her head back and groaned. I apologized to HER that the room was not available then had to wait while she found ANOTHER room (again, despite saying there was only one room available at the very beginning). When I left, still trying to be cheerful, I said, “maybe better luck with this one.” And she said, “well I have no idea, this room looks the same in my system as the other one.” Thankfully this room was not occupied. However, it was GROSS, dusty, stained sheets, etc. What a horrible experience.

    Nice place to stay and the customer service was great. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were clean but a little dated. Would stay again

    Unsafe "construction" outside. Floors and walls very dirty and not sanitary. Toilet not clean. There was a dirty pair of shorts and a dirty sock on the bathroom floor. This hotel is not acceptable.

    Lady booking room was nice,rooms bad as bathtub didn't drain ,stuff on walls,went for breakfast at 630am no food,asked front desk they didn't know why,not a place I would stay at again
