Always a fun beach! There are lifeguards, and marked portions where you cant go out but to be honest theres no need swimming out farther than they allow, it's a pretty good distance. No surfing here though, not good waves for it. there are bathrooms. Attached to the bathrooms is a covered seating area with several picnic tables including trashcans. There are several trashcans close to the dunes along the beach.

Bathrooms were still locked play place is close to the road and smells like exhaust. Basketball court is nice. Cops patrol there often, dont know If that's your positive or negative.

Loved it! Kids had a blast. Loads of room for families and kids to spend a fun filled beach side day. Places to barbecue. Playground for the kids. Definitely a nice place to spend some time relaxing by the ocean. 🌊🏖🤍

Great beach with free parking and clean bathrooms. We have visited here several times and always found parking. There are also covered picnic tables and it is only a short walk to the beach. It is nice not having to lug everything a long distance!

Beautiful beach on the Bayside. It was a great toilet facilities and a playground and picnic area right outside. Plus a huge parking lot. Nice spot to spend a day with the family.

The view was beautiful. Visited for a beach cleanup community relations project. While there was the typical large amounts of trash that occurs where humans gather, the area was generally clean and looked to be well kept and taken care of. Family-friendly, with life guard support. A nice get away, away from the crowds of Virginia Beach.

My family and I just moved from Savannah and are so in love with this place! We met some awesome people, my sister and my kids made friends and the facilities were immaculate. I can’t recommend more whether your just visiting, live here and never been or are new in town ❤️🧜‍♀️

Community beach is an excellent beach for families with young children. The beach opens more to the Chesapeake Bay than the Atlantic, making for very mild waves and a lack of rip currents. The water remains shallow a good ways from the shore, with some small sandbars as well depending on the tide--perfect for children and novice swimmers. There is always ample free parking at the large lot directly adjacent to the beach. The lot also abuts a decent-sized playground with unusually tall slides. While this beach may seem a little boring for the more adventurous, it is our go-to beach for a family outing with toddlers.

Hubby and I visited the beach for the first Time and it was nice. The water was calm. Crowds were tame, beach was clean. Parking was free. No dogs allowed. They had lifeguards. Overall seemed safe and seemed like a good place for families. We visited in the morning and we are going to go back at some point during the holiday weekend to check out the crowd.

My family and I had blast here. Super clean beach. Life guards on duty, mild waves, I didn’t spot any jellyfish. Good walking radius from car to beach. Free parking and convenient showers and restrooms. The only downside was that the sand was really hot and there were pointy seashells in the water soon as you get in.

Be careful when coming here your car will get damaged if you go too fast from the speed bumps! Overall the beach is nice and has a bathroom and plenty of shade under trees. Saw a stingray and plenty of crabs very active area for beach activities! Love this place!

The swings need to be filled in with mulch or something beneath them or the chains lowered to keep them from being so high, but honestly it's a cute park. I wouldn't go here too late in the evening since it's not the best area of town, but it seems safe during the day and so close to the beach access with lots of parking. The beach was clean and quiet with it being the off season in October- I haven't been here at peak season but I heard it can get rowdy so just be aware.

Beautiful Bayside Beach Access. Restrooms facilities are clean and well maintained. Great place to spend a couple hours. Bring binoculars to look at all the different shops and planes going by.

A nice little park along Ocean View. It is well maintained and have plenty of options for play equipment despite age differences. The tallest and steepest of slides is pretty intense!

Nice little beach. Calm water, great for littles. The sand does get really hot. It seemed hotter than others maybe because there aren't as many waves to help cool the sand? Free parking. The beach was clean. Bathrooms needed some attention. But the showers worked well. And there's a nice playground right beside the beach.

I love this park. It is so much nicer than the big one on Tidewater. But, it does have a piece of equipment down & netted to warn not to use. They should repair it or remove it & replace it with something better for small kids under age 5. That would be my suggestion to this park Add more stuff to acomodate the 5 years old & under for safety because that big stuff is too big for them to play safely. But it is nice & clean, sits in the parking lot adjacent to the beach with public bathrooms nearby. Great location & has a basketball court also for the older ones.

Great place to visit! Get there before noon if you want easy parking. They have covered picnic areas for parties and lots of space to grill out.

Clean beach. Family and I enjoyed ourselves once we were able to get a parking space. Parking is free, but if you visit during peak time... parking is a beast. Mostly local residents and not a lot of tourist which is great when you just want to enjoy a great day at the beach with some music, lunch, family fun, and free parking.

Clean quiet beach along shore drive. Not very crowded and plenty of parking. The waves stay small and there is usually a sand bar at low tide. A good place for the little ones. Bathrooms were ok. Like any other beach bathroom I guess. A few picnic tables for food.

Fairly friendly environment, buy 3 of 4 because of the constant weed smell. You can probably deduct plenty from that, but it is still really safe because it's super public and the police patrol there regularly

It's a fairy decent little beach. Plenty of parking and they have restrooms - not exactly the cleanest but it's there. It would be a great area if it was taken care of. Lots of trash littered all around.

Edit: NEED signs that remind folks not to smoke on our around the playground. 50% of the time someone is smoking and it's not good for kids to be around that. Sad that the people who frequent the park can't be more considerate. Signs might help. Nice playground, picnic shelter was clean and the beach is very accessible and clean as well! Didn't use the bathroom but it was nice to have it there.

Descent beach. Some trash. Free parking and usually lots of it. Large playground and basketball court. Families come and spend all day on weekends. View fireworks on the 4th weekend. Not as crowded as oceanfront. Close to home.
