Gym is clean and there’s a lot of variety to the equipment. The trainers are great. I will be switching gyms soon because I do not like crunch. I pay the gym more than $700 a month in membership fees and trainer fees, and on a recent trip to the gym I tried to buy a water bottle for myself and one for my guest. My card on file declined; no problem, not their fault. I tried to pay with the card in my wallet, and the cashier said that their card system was not working. I had $6 in cash in my wallet, and offered that for the water. “You’re $0.54 short,” said the manager. “We’ll, it’s what I have on me, I’m a member, last time I was hear I was told I had $20 something in pre-pay on my account, is there any way we can bridge a $0.50 gap?” “No, sorry, you’re $0.54 short.” I put my $6 on the counter, grabbed a bottle for my guest, and finished a workout. I look forward to finishing out my contract and going somewhere else. I hope the $3 I donated helps keep the lights on.

I liked the gym well enough while I went but as other comments mentioned, the cancellation process is hell. I thought I had deactivated my account and paid all fees as I was told that by the front desk just to get an email two months later that they had added other charges as well to my account- and since I didn't know about them, they also had accumulated late charges and service fees. I cancelled this membership since I was moving out of the city but I've never been to a gym where cancellation process was so long or expensive.

I am a BCBS member and a disabled veteran. I pay for a membership for all the gyms in the area, Crunch or otherwise. I pay no fee because of BCBS and my disabled status. I came to the one in Norman and they wanted to charge a fee. I explained to Jordan at the front desk that I pay for this through BCBS and I am a disabled veteran ( I cannot walk without a cane). He told me at this specific franchise I have to pay a fee. When I explained again he shrugged at me. I will be contacting the owner of the franchise (Jeremy?) with my legal team. Maybe I’ll open the one in Moore and we can compete. -Dr James Reichenbach.

I like the gym, love the equipment. Bathrooms are "ok" everytime I go in, as far as being clean. I don't plan on cancelling any time soon, I love the free weights and amount of equipment. My only complaint is that the bench presses are always stripped of almost all the weight plates and can be found stacked by the squat machines... It's just annoying having to ferry weight plates to the bench area, seems I spend more time doing this than lifting some days....

Warning! Insanely antiquated cancellation policy (I've been trying to cancel out of state for months). If you do join this or any other location I hope you have no plans of ever moving or apparently ever even dying, seems like they'd still need a signature AD or your corps is getting sent to collections...Sent a hand written letter as asked, letter got returned causing another month of unwanted membership. Staff at this particular location were unhelpful. "Manager" provided a corporate number which takes you to a recording saying "this is an unmanned number" on a loop aka doesn't work, to which the response was essentially a shrug...so you have no way to contact corporate. After providing a number that does not connect to anyone the "manager" refused to provide a working corporate number or a phone number to contact the GM for help...to a customer who has paid hundreds of dollars to this gym. When I asked for that phone number to contact the GM I was told their policy states they are only able to give out the GM email not the phone number. I asked if that was an actual written policy that crunch has to which the "manager" replied he was simply just refusing to provide it. To confirm this "policy" I called 3 other crunch gyms and had no trouble getting a contact number for their GMs...So I'm not sure if this is a policy of just the Norman location or if it just depends on the day and who answers the phone and how they feel that day. I will no longer be in Norman due to the death of a close friend, having this gym make cancellation even more difficult in an already difficult time is unfortunate. You can't even freeze your account easily bc the home gym has to send a letter that you sign and send back like this is the year 1940. Their policy was literally written in hyroglifcs with a stone and chizzle and hasn't been updated since. The cheap membership is nowhere near worth the headache trust me. I've joined lifetime instead, definitely pricier but there's no gymnastics necessary to cancel or pause it's done easily on the app as it should be. Take your money where you are valued, assisted and respected as a customer and one that values customer service and convenience. I did try to email the GM and received a notification that my email was returned, so I was also apparently given a nonworking email, this is insane...

I really enjoy coming to this gym. The staff is super friendly, the facility is very clean, the wait for machines is not at all of any. Though I am not real sure about the free weight area, that area can look very busy to me. No one hogs equipment. The tanning and hydro beds are great and sanitized. The deals for joining are constantly coming out. I love coming here to get my workout time in!

I’ve been to all kinds of gyms across the United States so I’ve seen the most expensive amenities and oversized garages that cater to different fitness types. Factoring in the price, amenities, classes offered etc., this is a quality gym. If anything, I’d love to see it get bigger even if we had to pay more to reduce peak hour crowding. I take the yoga class regularly with Natalie and I love it. I haven’t booked a training session but trust the trainers are see working are quality. Phil is one of the trainers I bug often with questions on form and he always knows exactly what to do. There’s tanning and massage beds as well. Try them out and see if it’s the right gym for you.

Very rude to guests who don’t know all the policies and especially some blonde who was rude about using the restrooms for myself and my kids. There should at least be signage for guests to read as far as what’s allowed to be used and age appropriate. I understand kids aren’t allowed on the floor but where else are they supposed to go if the kid center is closed! Very upset and glad I never joined for the staff itself. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone who plans to get rude customer service daily.

Don’t get me wrong crunch is not a bad place. However the payment process is not great. I canceled my membership because I don’t go there hardly anymore. Once I cancel, I still have to pay for another month? That seems unreasonable to me at least. When I cancelled with planet fitness they ended it right there and I didn’t pay for another month like crunch. It’s just sucks to pay for something your not using but having to pay again even after canceling.

Good gym with great workout vibes. If you know you know. It’s definitely a good vibe in the gym and eye candy to keep you motivated to push that next rep. I’ve been to a few gyms in the city since I moved here and this gym is hands down (To Me)has a great vibe and good workout equipment and good separation of the gym equipment.

I'm a few months in to my membership & I LOVE the classes, instructors, & equipment but the cleanliness is definitely an issue. The equipment is not cleaned & the women's bathroom is disgusting. I've reported trash overflowing & dirty floors & it seems to be an ongoing issue. For someone going straight to work after my workout, I dread showering & getting ready in there. Hoping to see some changes ASAP bc it could be a great gym!

This is a great gym to join! I love my personal trainer here, he really works with me on my fitness goals and helps me feel confident in the gym when I’m not with him. I also think the staff here is great and very helpful. The kids staff are always having fun with the kids and it’s very clean and organized in there.

I appreciate the fact that they have every piece of equipment under the sun including group fitness classes. The prices seem to be reasonable as well. However this particular location doesn’t seem to prioritize cleanliness. I’ve been coming to work out for 6 days straight now and I’ve noticed the same trash on the floor in the women’s restroom/showers in the exact spots every day. The floors are absolutely filthy and if I had to guess if these areas haven’t been cleaned the likelihood of the toilets being scrubbed daily is probably slim. I never thought I’d say this about a gym but I’d literally rather shower at a truck stop than here. I hope it’s just a matter of poor local management and their other locations are in better condition.

Crunch Fitness Norman is THE place to work out at if you live in the area. The facility is always so clean and the staff is kind and professional. Travis, the manager, interacts with the staff and gym members with poise and professionalism. He and the staff are very present and motivating, and are constantly encouraging members to be their best selves. The gym is always extremely clean and it is evident the staff takes great care of the amenities. The sauna, amazing massage chairs, and tanning are also such great extra amenities, and the gym equipment is excellent. There is a wide variety of equipment to target each of your gym needs, resulting in hitting your goals. The fitness classes are always so fun and great workouts! I love Crunch and the staff, and you should definitely think about checking out this gym! Great location and great prices!!! You won't be disappointed.

Very nice and helpful staff, frequently out of paper towels or disinfectant. Great air conditioning during workout gym equipment needs deep cleaning and so does the floor around the bolts. The parking lot is utterly disgusting with trash does not appear to ever get cleaned. The trash in the parking lot keeps getting thicker and thicker, it’s really starting to look bad in the parking lot. I sent an email to corporate. I was asked if I would like a response. I said yes three weeks ago… No response.

Very nice that it's 24hr, since I tend to get off work late in the night. People don't wipe down the equipment after every use, and there's often no disinfectant/ paper towels. However, it's never visibly dirty, and I don't often have to wait for equipment to be available. The massage chairs are very nice.

Excellent gym with tons of great equipment. Very busy after 5pm, but everyone is really nice and doesn’t judge. I’ll save the fifth star only because they don’t post the times that their workout rooms are reserved for classes, so you can sometimes get kicked out. You can ask the front desk but it would be really nice to have that information ahead of time so you can plan a workout if you need the room.

This place will rip you off ,they will raise your membership after a year without telling them they said that everyone is told what they do wich is a lie . They do not care if you've been a member and have spent money on their trainers they still rip you off regardless .when I spoke to a manager Wich said his name was Jordan Wich problably you was not his name he could care less about the situation and was condescending the whole time ...read the reviews they makerip ppl off for large amounts of $

Called to check on starting a membership and was greeted rudely and very harsh. I was asking about any military discounts that might be available and was treated with disgust. I then thanked them for their time and was immediately hung up on before even finishing my phone call. Is this how we treat service members in norman?

  • 2/5 Shane B. 1 year ago on Google
Staff just did not seem to care . I asked to cancel membership over a month ago and still they have not cancelled. When I was using gum the staff was never at counter and would have to wait at times for up to ten mins. Just really not professional at all with a sub par attitude.

Come down and see Jeff a guru of mind and muscle. Perfect trainer for any skill set. Has tremendous patience and is able to identify quickly your skill set and how to assist you in a better workout routine as well as techniques. Tyler is also an amazing face of the Norman Crunch. Greets everyone coming in with a smile. Always dedicated to ensuring the highest customer service.

Beautiful, clean facility with every amenity you need. The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming and the coaches are encouraging and supportive. Lots of equipment and machines to choose from. Tried the HIITzone class and got a KILLER workout! Crunch is definitely the best gym around.
