Lovely well-kept grounds. The horses are the best find them either in pastures or in the barn. Always a few people that work there or nearby to answer any questions about the horses.

I love the Equestrian Center. Several paddocks to walk up to and watch the horses. Very calming. I'm going to go back several times and so I recommend this preserve!

Amazing forest preserve that is built by an American entrepreneur from Chocago who named this farm after his own first name Dan and his wife’s first name Ada (Danada) There is a horse race track, horse gate, beautiful garden, an amazing building and a few stables in this park. Thank you Interesting place for family and kids or solo hikers

Nice and big! Tons of paths that you can mix and match to go various distances, and get a mix of prairie/forest/lake.

Beautiful grounds to walk, bike, or run. It's really cool that they still have the half mile horse race track and starting gate from the original owner. It connects to Danada House through a tunnel that goes under Naperville Rd. It also connects to the trails in Herrick lake. Cool piece of history.

Honestly one of my favorite parks.. it has a nice history and you can see old racing stables. Not only can you walk along the prairie but there is also a woodsy option if you like to stay more in the shade

If you're a horse lover, you've probably been here or the nearby St James Farm. But there are also trails for walking and biking that are shared for horse riding (judging by the "droppings") so anyone can enjoy themselves here. It's still a bit cold out so not much activity going on here today. Last time we walked up here from the playground to the South. This time we parked here and walked the trails just North and East of the Danada House. The trails are not too long but you can perhaps get close to two miles walki g the "outer" trails or walking toward Rice lake & Butterfield Rd and back. I don't think the trail loops on that section.

Beautiful local forest preserve. Simple easy paths to walk, run or bike on around the water. The walk out pier is my favorite part

We attended a wedding reception at Danada Forrest Preserve. What a wonderful venue! The beautiful gardens outside the historic building are enchanting. The ballroom connects to the historic building, making this an excellent venue for a large gathering. The food was excellent as well. We had a wonderful time. I would recommend checking out Danada Forrest Preserve for your special event.

Very calming place to walk. Some bicyclists go a bit too fast, most ride with common sense. Horses can also have a calming effect. Come relax, take a deep breath and enjoy your experience your day here!

Really clean, crushed gravel walking, biking, riding paths. Bring good walking shoes because it has some good hills around the lake. Mostly this is an area for people to ride their horses but is open for walking and biking too, beware the horse droppings. Take care of your own garbage, hard to find cans. Extra parking is in the equestrian center.

A gorgeous spot. You may run into horses in the fenced area by the parking lot or on the trails. It's not a super long walk but it's gorgeous.

We had an Equine Trail Sports (ETS) event there. We rode the beautiful trails (shared with hirses, bikes and walkers/joggers). Everyone was respectful when passing our horses. Beautiful scenery, beautiful wildlife. Birds singing. A good place to go to relax.

Great bike ride... good for all levels, including 6 year old on 16 inch bike. Not crowded and not deserted. Lake Herrick was beautiful that day... looked good for fishing too. Crushed limestone on the trail. Bit of uphill and downhill but nothing like Waterfall Glen!

Went on a chilly, cloudy Sunday afternoon. I was able to walk 8.5 miles, all in Forest Preserves, without repeating too much of the trail. It wasn't very busy while I was there, although there were more people by Herrick Lake. People were out walking, running, and biking. Definitely a nice way to take in some fall colours. My only "problem" was being unsure where I was allowed to park once I got there.

Nice place. I stopped by when I saw billows of smoke rising off of Butterfield, and I just had to take a look. The photo I posted was about the best view I could get, I hope that everything was OK.

Went on a late fall day with few leaves left on the trees, so we were able to hear plenty of road noise at all times. Some decent views, saw some wildlife as well. Worth doing once on foot if you're in the area. You can smell the horse stables to the South when the wind is blowing. Parked on the shoulder of the road, which felt a little risky given the traffic going by. I'd like to bike the route that connects all the other parks going west sometime.

Many people have gone here for weddings, and it's indeed a lovely place for one. But it's also a great place for a hike. However, it's mostly out in the open (not woods) so would be pretty hot in the summer.
