Greene Valley Scenic Overlook
Park
π You can drive up to the top of this hill and then walk around. There is also a walk around trail at the bottom. It is only open from 11am-6pm on the weekends, May through October. This is a good place for just a quick look or maybe a picnic. Not much to do, but you really can see downtown Chicago!

Herrick Lake Forest Preserve West
Park
ππ It's a great place for hiking or just walking. It's also the best place to see the fall colors over the lake in our area. If you get there at the right week, usually the 3rd week, in October.

ππ We love how big this preserve is! There is a hill to walk up and lakes to see. A lot of designated picnic areas and port-a-potties. Ability to rent kayaks, paddleboats, go to the archery range or fish. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to explore.

Glasshagel Fields Park

π Kind of far from where I was staying. Went for a family sporting outing. My nephew Henry belted a double down the right field line, driving in a run and turning the tide of the game to seal a victory for Elmhurst Extreme U14. Overall very pleased with the visit.
