What an amazing hidden treasure by Belt Parkway! Was stuck in the traffic for 2 1/2 hours, Needed so badly for the restroom stop and food around 10:45 pm . Doing Google map randomly research find this charming place open till 2 am . First I thought it probably just a regular diner . When I walked in, it’s more like a beautiful bar , and Pleasantly surprise there are some gourmet delicacies serving till midnight. I ordered skirt steak with a glass Malbec. Reasonable price. What a beautiful dish with Absolutely the most of flavorful skirt steak I ever had . While I was busy taking pictures and share my experience with friends my discovery , here came super friendly chef Alex ! Alex making sure the steak served perfectly and I really enjoying my steak . We end up making friends 😄 He promises he will fix me a very nice Traditional Russian meal next time I stop by if I text him ahead of time. Alex is that cute young man at 2 of the photos I took . The beautiful bartender Alina is another treat of Anyway Cafe . She is an very experienced bartender not only making great drinks also knows how to engage with guests. Love the special Ginger infused shot she made for me . I have been in hospitality business in New York City for over 20 years. I highly recommend this charming café. Anyway Cafe is one of my favorite stops after I drop off my clients at JFK now. It’s Literally by Bell Parkway exit 7B and subway station near by. If you stuck at belt parkway traffic. It will be a great place to refresh yourself. BTW , Anyway Cafe is Cash only , just be aware of it. There is a ATM inside Maybe see you there ?!

Only stopped by for a few drinks, but had a great time. The selection of flavored vodkas was so numerous and creative it took a long time to decide what we all wanted to sample! The atmosphere is charming and cozy and the owner is an absolute pleasure. They also had some live music playing when we were there.

Great first time experience! The food was absolutely amazing! I also tried their warm wine with fresh orange so delicious! Especially now that’s so cold outside. They had live Russian music, truly wonderful! Omar was my waiter and he did an excellent job!!

It's a great place I've known forever, great food and atmosphere. Live music. Lots of good looking patrons to mingle with. Try their homemade infusions. Pavlova desert is not bad

Love coming here for spontaneous date nights with hubby… the spot is just so quaint and has a jazzy feel to it. The food and service is impeccable… had their tuna tartare which I highly recommend along with their avocado salad. Tried something new: bone marrow which was a true delicacy. I can’t not get enough of their cocktails: limitless options on their martini selection. Highly recommend to try the lychee and passion fruit. Their beer on tap is also a delight with a variety to choose from. A perfect date spot for any day of the week… live music on the weekends.

I wanted to like this place cause I live nearby, I've been to many bars/restaurants and rooftops to know what to compare with. I'm not coming back and here is why: Pros: location, hip place, the ambiance of the dining area, first drinks, food was okay. Cons: -when I asked to replace the drink (done wrong), the waiters and the bartender .... got visibly upset, which made me feel uncomfortable. - Restrooms, omg, the door lock was broken and they need renovation. - and for this kind of service mandatory tips... P.S. prices can easily compete with Brooklyn and Manhattan rooftop bars.

I love this place! I found it years ago, and their clams stuck in my memory as the most delicious! Since that time, I always remember this hidden gem in Brooklyn. Very nice bar, especially when they have live band playing jazz.

Such a nice little gem in Gravesend! Came here on a Saturday night for dinner and drinks, the pianist and singer duo did an amazing job on classic jazz numbers. We ordered tuna tartar and chicken pate which was delicious, requested for more bread and they were kind to provide more. We also be had the burrata and the signature dessert which was fantastic. Espresso martini was amazing. Will definitely return!

This place is such a vibe. Live music (free) every night. Outstanding cocktails (get the Borsch Martini if you're adventurous; it's delicious). Fabulous service. But most of all it's a real scene... kitsch decor, characters coming in and out, super cozy atmosphere.

I visit this institution thanks to Anastasia! I admire her creativity and knowledge of her business! Thanks to this person, this place is always in great demand. And also the bartender Daria, who turns any conversation into music....

Try a Borscht martini while you're there. It does taste like beets, but it's fantastic. They do house infused vodkas for all their flavored drinks.

Ordered as steak ... Came some sliced pieces of meat... is that kind of new form "steak", or just someone decided to do some job on behalf of me and sliced stake as per his preferred size? They could move one more step forward and chew it on behalf of me as well... Appetite gone... even don't care how it tastes... non edible... 🤮

I happened to visit nyc and a friend suggested that I should stop by here for a vodka drink that they specialize in. I found the bar magical! The waiter Omar was the an absolute sweetheart. The live music was incredible. I ended up coming back the next night on a Sunday and enjoyed some amazing opera. Would definitely recommend this bar :)))

Cozy nice place that's got a feel of a mix between brasserie and speak easy with relaxed live music - acoustic guitar, blues, jazz, etc. - friendly staff, tasty food, wide selection of cocktails and spirits, draft beer, and non alcoholic beverages. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to relax with friends or go for drinks.

I used to admire the food and atmosphere this place provided, however yesterday’s experience completely shattered the warm feelings that I had towards this establishment. The dining experience was horrible, starting from the waitress who could not get the order straight, to the extremely long times we had to wait for the food to arrive. We had to remind the staff about the order quite a few times and correct the deficiencies, yet the impression we got was that they simply did not care. Additionally, there were very few patrons inside, roughly six, not including the three of us, yet the wait time and overall quality of the service was extremely lacking! To make matters worse, the food did not taste authentic, the drinks were watered down and it took multiple trips for the staff to finally bring us a meal. The overall wait time between the order placement and the first plate appearing at the table was over forty-five minutes! Would anyone agree with me that such poor service is completely unacceptable?! Once again, the place was not busy at all and the food we ordered was nothing extravagant and therefore did not require thorough preparation. To top it all off, the neighboring table was filled with a group that were extremely rude, loud and constantly using profanity in front of other guests, taking away from the enjoyment of other patrons! The “icing on the cake” was when I asked that my meal be reheated and the staff refused to satisfy my simple request, all because their chef was under a pitiful impression that his “masterpiece” creation should not be subjected to the customer’s desire to consume a decent-tasting meal. When we made several complaints regarding the subpar service to the manager, not only was the matter was not taken with the appropriate degree of concern, the attitude of the staff took on an even more dismissive tone. It was almost as if our patronage to their establishment was a nuisance and we were treated as pests. The final straw was the forceful addition of a sizable gratuity to the bill. When I asked for a replacement and the removal of the sum, I received the same exact copy, forcing me to manually write in the total amount, which I will ensure that the credit card company processes. It was almost as if they were mocking us! The ill-mannered and completely unprofessional attitude of the staff, coupled with poor food quality left a bad taste in our mouths in both, a literal and metaphorical sense! Do not give these folks your time and money, I highly recommend that you take your business elsewhere!

I've only ever come here earlier in the evening when it's relatively quiet and I enjoy the ambience and feel of this place. All of the food I've had has been tasty, the cocktails are fine. Nice place to meet if you actually want to talk. Again, can't speak to later night atmosphere, but the 6-9pm crowd is usually very chill

oh I love it here! From the live band, to the friendly staff and tasty drinks. It’s a small spot, but you know small spots are always the best. My friends and I come here when we wanna get nice and tipsy.

Came to see my friend Rob Mastrianni play here on Monday evening and LOVED it. It's a total dive situation but they make a great Perfect Manhattan and are known for their infused vodka drinks. The menu is slavic/nordic - I had the gravlax and the beet salad. The food is OK, nothing to write home about but the vibe of the place is fantastic. They have live music every night of the week supposedly. There's a tip jar for the musicians. People get up to spontaneously dance (which is really awesome) and it seems like it attracts a big musician crowd. I will be back. IMPORTANT: CASH ONLY!!!!

Love this place. This is a neighborhood gem with jazz music playing everyday. The food is delicious and the drinks are great too. Particularly great lychee martinis with a perfect balance of sugar and vodka. Romanoff salad is really good and the ravioli, both duck and mushroom are wonderful. The atmosphere is dark and candlelight cozy, perfect place for a date or a relaxing evening.

The food is really great. The reason for 3 stars is the delay in service. Our waitress was very sweet and polite, but we actually waited 1hr and 45 to receive a 3rd appetizer and a burger.
