I "loved" grinders. Yes, used to love. It's now become a chain restaurant delivering fast food quality for dining in prices. I placed a to go order over the phone. First off, GREAT STAFF AND SERVICE THATS NOT THE ISSUE. Spent $50 dollars. On 2 strawberry wraps a bacon burger and fries, chocolate milkshake, french fries and one cup of potato soup (TIP included in the order totaling it to about $50) The burger we got for $12.60 was a "bacon burger" with two pieces of thin bacon placed in a Jesus cross.(Pics below) My reviews are honest based on MUTIPLE orders. I don't eat somewhere once and give a mediocre review. To top it off, while in line to pay I overheard customers talking about how the desserts looked very "deflated" and old. If you want a quality meal, this isn't your stop anymore. (It used to be for me) but I've found WAY better wraps & burgers within 1 mile for less than this. Grinders is no longer what it used to be. Try a new spot. 😉

Ordered take out and my steak wrap was covered in grease. The to go box it came in had an actual puddle of grease in it that poured all over my table when I opened it. On top of that, the mac and cheese I was given was stouffers. I have always loved their mac and cheese and it was definitely stouffers this time. The grinders in Hartville is great but I will never be back to this location.

We had a party of 11 on a Sunday afternoon so we were seated outside. Our server, Angel, was friendly and took great care of our group, who were split up at 3 tables. The service and food were outstanding! I highly recommend the New Phili!

We just ordered a to go order and spent $30 on two sandwiches and an order of what I thought was their beer better onion rings, they quit making them for some reason. They serve little frozen gross onion rings. I was also disappointed in my club sandwich with one little piece of bacon. The quality has gone downhill and what used to be one of my favorite restaurants is no longer.

You must wear a mask to enter this restaurant. Our food was very good and served quickly. This was important to us because we were on a lunch break. Our salad was served very cold and the lettuce was fresh and not brown. The salad dressing was tasty and also fresh tasting. We had water and ice tea. Our glasses was kept full. Our waitress was efficient and pleasant. One negative aspect of our lunch was the nosy waitress from the next table. She joined our conversation several times trying to add her opinion to our conversation. Our conversation should be private and she should just do her job. Overall our lunch experience was very good.

Went here for a Mother’s Day celebration on Saturday. I tried to pay for the bill on the QR code you can scan on the receipt. When the waitress came back, she said their system had been messing up and it didn’t go through. I showed her our bank account through our app and it took the money out. After a manager tried and also called the VP they said there’s nothing they could do because it didn’t go through on their end. So to our EMBARRASSMENT we had to ask family to cover for us until the money reversed. It eventually did and I thought nothing of it until today TUESDAY, Grinders tried to yet again take money out of our checking account. I will be calling to see why after so many days our card has been charged after it already being paid! The waitress’ kindness and service was the only good thing I have to say about this place. The food sucked and now I have to go out of my way to not only call Grinders but to call my bank to and mark this as fraud! edit: called grinders and explained what happened- no call back or update. Still have the charge that no longer is pending but went through!!! At this point I have to open a claim against them and cancel my card. This is a horrible horrible experience. I recommend if you do go here- pay with cash.

Very good meal reasonably priced

I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and brown gravy and a side salad. Plus, I ordered macaroni and cheese. My friend also had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes with green beans. The portions size was good. Both meatloafs and mashed potatoes were at room temperature. The macaroni and cheese was the best part of the meal! The waiter did a good job. Still disappointed in the meatloaf! Can't get that out of my mind.

The strawberry walnut wrap was excellent. The Texas burger was overdone and dry. My kiddos didn't eat a thing, at the time, so I got theirs to go and, of course, forgot it on the table 🙊. The staff was great and patient. The place was clean. This was our first time at a sit down since covid started. 4 stars overall just wish my hubby's birthday meal would have been to his liking.

I was so excited to come to my home town and all I kept telling my wife is " I can't wait to have a steak and mushroom grinder" man was I so disappointed. Sadly somethin has changed. I know the Italian dressing is not the same as it was in the past. The sandwich was just ok. The service was absolutely blah. Not that she was bad. We got everything drinks, food and refills before asking. She had no personality, my wife only took one bite of her sandwich " she didn't care for it" not that I was looking for any money off. There was nothing wrong with it, just didn't like it. The waitress never asked if anything was wrong. Sad.

The steak + mushrooms croissant is my favorite with a side of their French onion soup.

Different Grinders than where we usually go, but the spaghetti was just as good! A good heaping helping of it, plus garlic bread! So tasty! I was so full I took some for left overs to work the next day. They got us in quickly. The restroom was clean. Server was very good.

The food is good! Teagen is the best server! The most annoying and rude thing is when the manager is going around and clearing dishes from tables. Not an excuse me, pardon me or even asking if he can take the dishes. I have had my plate taken away when I'm still eating. I stopped to wipe my mouth and saw the plate being quickly taken. It's very annoying. Since that has happened, I keep all of my dishes out of reach of him, whether I'm don or not.

I've been there twice and both times the food and the service were excellent. Edit: this is now one of my favorite places to go. Fresh made soups and salads. My favorite is French onion soup and a chopped salad that has egg, cheese and croutons.

Always a great meal at N Canton Grinders. We come here 2-3 times a month usually for dinner but sometimes lunch. Everyone is very nice and always gives great service. Hartville location is also a favorite.

I guess the wait for a table shows how good the food is going to be. Everything is fresh and flavorible. Grinders and salads are all wonderful, and I've tasted almost all of them. Don't forget the pies for desert. The only complaint is that they don't have corn chowder on the menu anymore.

I stopped here at 7pm on a Tuesday evening and I was seated right away. My server came right over and took my drink order (Dr. Pepper). When it was delivered and I took a sip, I had to ask for a replacement because I was served diet coke. She apologized and brought me a fresh Dr. Pepper right away. After a short time, she came back and took my order for the Sky-High Pot Roast with mashed potatoes. This is a good-sized place with a modern look to it. It has a bar along with tables and booths. After about 10 mins she delivered my meal. It was a good-looking open-faced sandwich with mashed potatoes directly on top of the pot roast. The gravy was dark and rich and covered everything. The mashed potatoes were handmade with some lumps and pieces of skin, but not too much. They were really tasty. The meat was extremely tender and flavorful. This was a really good choice for me, it hit the mark on every aspect of this meal. Overall, I would definitely come back the next time I’m in town. It was a good dining experience and well worth the money.

My son and I met there for lunch and a drink. We sat at the bar and had a really nice visit. My son had the Aviator Grinder and I had the Sweet Hawaiian Chicken sandwich. Both were very good! I would definitely order the same again!! While my son enjoyed a cocktail, I enjoyed a J. Lore glass of wine. I really appreciate their selection of wines!

My date and I got here a few minutes before closing because google had the wrong times posted. They didn’t even hesitate to seat us. The waitress politely told us when they closed and we apologized but she still served us. The food was hot and fresh and her attitude was positive the entire time. She never once rushed us out. I will definitely be back, next time just not at closing 😫

Normally my review would be 5 stars however, WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE RUSSIAN DRESSING? What is now being served currently literally SUCKS! We love coming here (Usually every Thursday evening) but the dressing change was very, very disappointing.

Grinders is a great place for meals, I reside in the Akron area and some years ago we had a location in Stow but now I have to venture out to Stark County to visit any Grinders. Please consider returning to Summit County

Went out around town looking for somewhere to eat. Gave the New Berlin a try but the menu was terrible so I went across the street and found this stellar salad called the Key West. Definitely will be back for another one!

I have always enjoyed Grinders and my favorite is their Key West salad BUT...I ordered one yesterday only to realize the chicken they add is now glorified pressed lunch meat chicken, ugh. The lettuce was weathered and tasted odd. Not a great move Grinders.

I have been going here since I was a toddler and I have always left satisfied! I highly recommend a banana milkshake and the Philly sandwich or Pedro’s Pick. The cheesy hash browns are yummy too. The food is always warm and fresh tasting. I never have sent anything back. The menu has some great choices for everyone. Lots to choose from! Prices are good, you always get hearty portion sizes. Never have had a complaint on customer service. Dessert and cocktails are worth a look at as well. This is an excellent place to meet with friends to grab lunch. I tell my friends, “a lot of people have disappointed me, but Grinders never does” lol. It’s been my family’s favorite for nearly two decades. The other locations have treated me just as well! Sometimes service is a little slow, but I’m patient for good things!

I love the variety of food choices! My girlfriend is on a diet, and this restaurant was acceptable to her!!! It was so easy to choose to eat here.

Very nice place Server we had Awsome... Milk Shake hurt me put me to sleep... The Barbecue Chicken Salad i couldnt eat it all... Ill go back there again. I havent tried the Burgers yet that's my test. 4 stars only because i havent had the menu yet
