This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. We are new to the area and this was the best Italian food we have had since moving to Florida. The bread is delicious, our appetizer special of duck legs in an orange sauce was too. Dipping the bread into the sauce, as our server recommended, was incredible. We live close and plan on coming back soon.

My fiance and I enjoyed an amazing dinner & bottle of wine. Absolutely DELICIOUS and charming family owned restaurant. My favorite places for Italian in a 100 mile radius. The homemade pasta is perfect. Everything from beginning to end was perfect, from being greeted without a reservation to the conversation I had with my server and of course THE FOOD. We will 110% be back again.

We've been wanting to go visit this establishment for some time now and finally made it. What a great Italian restaurant, family owned and the service was also spectacular. Our server Mirella was courteous and professional, she's also part of the family of this place. We had the Scampi Edmondo and the Basa Francese, they were both excellent. Thanks to the chef Viviana Vena who is the owner also. She makes sure every dish is prepared correctly and delicious. Also to our server's mother Tina who's idea was for the Scampi Edmondo dish and her choice with the dessert Tiramisu, which was light and refreshing. We will be back again soon with the help of Jaclyn who is also part of the family. She will let you know about any special events or dishes they will be serving. Please let me know if I misspelled anyone's name.

Great authentic Italian. Jaclyn was a Rockstar at going over dishes. The homemade dressing was so good. I had the ravioli and the sauce had so much flavor. The chicken cardinale has a rich unique flavor. Very good food.

May 2019 Ristorante Fabio, Hancock Bridge PKWY, N. Ft. Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter. Fabio is a wonderful place. A quaint and can be a romantic getaway in the middle of a strip mall. One of very very few nice things of Florida. My go to place for my wife craving of Italian food. We start off with garlic bread though they provide fresh hot bread. So many other places do not do this now. I got a cup of the soup of the day. Hot, tasty and warming the soul. My wifey orders the house lasagna and I get veal parmigiana ( real beef not that chicken stuff). Both are wonderful and Italian classic dishes. So if you seek the perfect Italian meals (unlike the over salty chain restaurants) here is where you come. Oh yeah leave those rugrats under 18 at home. They will destroy your experience. Service is attentive and just plain good. This place is still kickin it. I was there at lunch time ... The phone was off the hook for dinner reservations.4 -6-13 tables. So if you need Italian food come here. WOW !!!!! By far the best food I have had yet here in florida.. The service and food was just plain outstanding. Everything is made by scratch. (BUT wait for it the bread is imported from California. LOL) I had linguine with clam sauce, lots of clams and fresh garlic. Wify had pasta with fresh garlic and oil. The salad dressing was homemade and creamy. Fried to perfection was eggplant as a appetizer Also garlic bread. Too much food to eat in one setting so doggie bags to go. The lunch was approx. 10.00 each Beautiful setting though it in a strip mall. A chocolate cake to die for oooohhhh so filling. Please go here.

It was my birthday. From start to finish food and service was exceptional. This reminds me of small restaurants in south Philadelphia. No detail is overlooked. The food is prepaired with dedication and love. Please enjoy this wonderful restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Phenomenal! Jackie and the team are the sweetest and best service we’ve ever had, hands down. Every dish was loaded with flavor; Not a single dish was less than delicious. We’ll be regulars.

Top notch food & service with a personal touch. Marinara sauce was only second to grandma's homemade secret recipe. Calamari was cooked perfectly. There were so many mussels that I could barely see my linguine beneath it.

Highly recommend this place! Best fettuccine Alfredo I’ve had! I got it with the shrimp. Oh so yummy! So impressed with every course. The staff is incredibly friendly. It was obvious they have a ton of regulars as they knew everyone by name.

I was a regular customer at Fabio's, but now Fabio is a plan "C" or even a "plan D" for me and guests. Why? Well, the food is fantastic. The wine selection is improving. The service is fantastic. So what's my problem? The renovation. To be honest it's not good. Fabio used to have a cozy, intimate, family type feel to it. That alone made everything else that much better. It was dark, but not to dark. It was close quarters with other tables, but far enough away and dark enough to be plenty distant. It was real. It was human. Now...it feels like you're in the waiting room of a doctors office. The lights are so bright you can see every mole, freckle, and line on the customer 30 feet away. It's not good. I wish Fabio would have just kept it the way that it was. If something isn't broke, don't fix it.... But the ambiance is killer. So I'll drive an extra 15-20 minutes to other haunts that have just as good if not better food and service, and excellence ambiance. If I'm out of options, I'll go to Fabio. It makes me grimace even making this review. But hey...if it's not working, it's not working.

First time here. Fried zucchini appetizer was delicious. We would have been fine without the marinara sauce. Lovely fresh house salad with homemade creamy Italian dressing. Forgot to mention homemade bread. I had the mushroom ravioli and Dawn had the braised beef on wide noodles. All was delicious. We took a piece of tiramisu home. It had not set enough.

Simply phenomenal! Some restaurants give good service, some good food, others, a quaint atmosphere. Fabio's delivers on all cylinders. Upon entering the small, family owned restaurant, the attentive host did not turn us away even though we had no reservations and clearly everyone else did. The waitress, Jacklyn? (sorry, I was in sensory overload) was exceptionally informative with everything from the wine selection, to meal preparation, to the homemade creamy Italian dressing, and the exceptional dessert menu. She was of the type that enjoyed us enjoying ourselves. She insisted on aerating our wine properly and tying a bib on me (she must have recognized that I am clearly the type that enjoys my meal, regardless of what I am wearing! Bread was hot and fresh baked. Our escargot appetizer was tender and full of flavor (even my wife tried some since it smelled so good). The salad did not disappoint, as it was fresh greens with the much anticipated homemade dressing in just the right amount. The chef (mother of the waitress) easily and skillfully accommodated my request to add mussels and shrimp to my Calamari Fradiavlo. The sauce was spicy but not to the point where I broke into a sweat. I could taste the heat but it didn't overpower the dish. All seafood was cooked al dente so that it was firm but tender. I don't like eating rubber bands and so the calamari was very enjoyable. The sauce was plentiful, allowing us to enjoy another loaf of fresh baked bread to soak up the remaining goodness. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Rigatoni Arrabbiati, which also had a spicy sauce made with cherry peppers and sweet sausage. All portions were "Italian style"...you won't leave hungry. Sadly, we had no room for dessert, but the menu was well rounded and sounded delicious. I wish we discovered this little family run gem sooner while traveling through the area. It is now on our waypoint list the next time we travel nearby. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

We have been customers of Fabio’s for 20 yrs. and have enjoyed it immensely. Up until recently. On our last visit we were, again, made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Our bread was served cold and seemingly stale. They did reheat and it was better, although not the same as it used to be. Then my chicken français came out and the sauce was like water, I hated to complain but I sent it back. It came out slightly better consistency wise but now the color of the sauce was some off color brown. I have never been more disappointed as I am now in a favorite restaurant. We will not return as this seems to be the trend in recent visits. Very saddened to have to make this decision.

My husband and I had dinner last night and were very unhappy. Their house wine was $11.50 a glass (which the waitress said they buy it at Publix)plus, food portions were very small & over priced for pasta & chicken($26)

Restaurante Fabio has become our favorite, somewhat local, restaurant. My wife and I have been visiting restaurants in the area for 18 years, and while our favorite places to eat does change occasionally, we do not see this status changing any time soon, if ever. No need to go into details as the 5 star rating pretty much says it all. Highlights: a) an entire staff that has a detailed understanding of the menu and makes the dining experience pure fun, b) consistently outstanding food, served hot as the dishes are prepared a table at a time, c) reasonable prices, d) clean, e) they take reservations, which we suggest, f) forgetting the surroundings of the strip mall entrance - once inside you could be at your favorite restaurant in Italy. In summary: Outstanding.

Absolutely the best food I have had in Cape Coral. The service was amazing! We tried the beef short ribs special, fettuccine Alfredo and sea scallop all were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The homemade fettuccini noodles were the best I have ever had including the fettuccine I have consumed while dining In Italy. The Dinner salad with homemade dressing was to die for as well as the light delicate and flavorful limoncello cake.

Make a reservation. Small, quaint, family run. When you walk in, you are now part of the family. Food is old family recipes. Extremely good traditional fares. Pasta, Veal and Seafood dishes, also meatball, sausage and pizza. Specials are innovative and fun. Wine is reasonably priced by the glass, Carafe or bottle. Service is beyond excellent.

The service at this restaurant is accommodating and personable. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint. The servers have excellent knowledge of the dishes and how they are prepared. With regards to the food...the house salad was tasty, fresh and crispy but miniscule....the smallest salad I've ever eaten at a restaurant... It was devoured in two minutes. The main entree visually was unappetizing. The base was a balsamic vinaigrette (dark brown)...There was at lot of it....like soup on a plate. The sauce was very strong....so much less could have been used (drizzle instead). Chicken was a part of the dish. It was not tender and was on the chewy side. The dish was meat and pasta with very little peppers, mushrooms and onions...portions of veggies inadequate...I had to search for them! Pasta was cooked el dente. Entree was house specialty and very pricey at $23!!! There are no vegan and little vegetarian options on menu. All dishes feature meat and/or cheeses. I think that maybe other entrees on menu might be more appealing. This restaurant seems to be popular. Other customers seemed like regular patrons and pleased.....

What a wonderful evening! The food, the family, the ambience - everything was perfect! I only regret that we will be flying back to Wisconsin, so it will be another year before we can come back again. I would definitely recommend Fabio’s to anyone who is looking for an authentic Italian meal. Jaclyn was a true delight and took great care of us. Paul was a treat. Vivana prepared amazing meals for all four of us. Oh - and the desserts! Definitely coming back.

My wife and I went To the restaurant about a week And wanted to share a dinner because we don't eat that much anymore. The waiter said. That that would be fine but they would charge a seven dollars for sharing a plate. I thought that was a rip off so we got two meals instead and we'll not go back there.

my boyfriend and i went on our first date there a year ago and it was great! we decided to come back for Valentine’s Day and we’re happy to see they kept up their reputation. Wow! Absolutely unbelievable restaurant. The food and service were Absolutely fantastic! Best restaurant we've eaten at in over 2 years in being in SWFL. If you like Italian food, go here. Only downside is it is small, so go early or get reservations. Great family owned business.

The shopping center that holds this gem can be deterring but don't be. Although the location is on the smaller side and might want to make reservations. But the service and food is well worth it. House Cabernet Sauvignon is a solid value. Waitress was very informative with the menu and food sensitivity knowledge. For an appetizer had a charcuterie tray. Very delicious and assortment was pleasant. For dinner, had the bill marsala and was very pleased with the presentation and taste.

We went here last night for the first time, but it definitely won't be our last. We made reservations as we went on a Saturday night. Good thing we did because it was really busy. Our waitress, Jessica, was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the menu items. We ordered a bottle of wine and started the the stuffed clams. They were amazing......and bread sopped up every morsel of sauce. Dinners were manicotti with cream sauce, veal tortellini, and the mushroom ravioli, which was a special. My husband said it was the best he has ever eaten. We ordered the peaches and cream panna cotta for dessert, which was another special. Everything was delicious. I come from a big Italian family and this place is the real deal. Can't wait to go back!

Ordered chicken parmesan which was ok,but they serve the spaghetti after your done as though it was an afterthought side. It doesn't do any good to ask for it with your main course, it's not going to happen. Been there 3 times, same problem every time. There are better Italian restaurants, try Bianca's, very good.
