Just in one word it's Beautiful. The timings are just precise...yes it can be 10 min late but not more than that.they are just punctual compared to all those ferry ghat available in West Bengal. No doubt we just loved Assam a lot ... From these ferry ghat ,you can visit the umananda Island .it's a shiv ji temple located in the hill top in between the umananda Island .

Very good place to see sunrise and sunset. But the river Bank is too dirty. Maintenance and cleanliness should done. Otherwise everything is nice about this place. The view, the clean water and everything is nice. Umananda temple is very near to this ghat.

Went there in the late afternoon on 14th June, 2023. This place is located at the bank of river Brahmaputra. Some construction/ renovation work was going on when I visited that place. As a result of this, the area was very muddy. Several piles of soil was seen scattered here and there. Could not enjoy the real beauty of Lachit Ghat due to the ongoing construction works. There is a ferry service to Umananda Temple from Lachit ghat for which tickets are also available online.

Cool and calm place to relax. Even though you would get the sounds of the busy citylife from the nearby roads and market area. But, the mix of nature and the busy city life creates a balance. If you still wanna avoid it, try visiting the place by early morning or late evening. Sunset usually brings the vibe in here. Lachit Ghat is located near the banks of River Bramhaputra. The main focus why people come over here is to enjoy sunset. The view is really beautiful and your can sit around and enjoy the sunset. If you looking for a place for relaxation you can come over here. There are lot of food stalls over here where you can enjoy foods like chaat, Puchka, sugarcane juice, sweet corn etc. Sit and around and just chill.

Caught the Ferry 🚢 just on time at Lachit Ghat to visit Umashankar temple. Clean and lively ghat. Enjoyed the cool Breeze touching gently on face and yes they forced the life jacket for safety 😊

At present it is not worth visiting as the infrastructure work is going on. Full of dust, no view, nothing worth watching presently till the construction work is over.

The statue is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra in North Guwahati....! The place is beautiful but polluted with a lot of dirty garbage.....! The main reason for this is the public....! There is no point in blaming the government.....! How much will you clean....? We are the bad guys.....! There are many things that are thrown on the banks of the river, including the idols of Puja.....!Polythene and various picnic equipment etc.Everyone should be aware to keep such beautiful places....

So good place to sit and chill with friends. Theres a breeze and constant wind in every season but the place is still under construction. If this place is built properly and cleaned regularly it will be a wonderful spot. Also there are so many colleges nearby. Students can come and chill here.

Felt quite nice to see the statue of our hero, Lachit Barphukan, who defeated the Mughals. The place can be made more attractive by beautification of the river bank. Car parking facility is quite fine. Had a great visit there..

Lachit Ghat is a must-visit spot in Guwahati for its beautiful views and cultural significance. It's a great place to relax, unwind, and immerse yourself in the local culture. But these days some kind of construction is taking place which spoil the its beauty. I recommend not to visit lachit ghat for a few months.

One of the most beautiful view point of the city. Unfortunately very much neglected due to the on going construction work. Requesting authority to initiate the needful action to make the place worthy.

The place is a bit dirty and dusty. There is no seating arrangement. The vast area could have been converted into a park but no attention has been paid.

Lachit Ghat There are statues on the ghat of the Brahmaputra near Fancy Bazaar in Guwahati and it is a good place to visit in the evening. Here the special Sunday evening is very public and people walk here and eat light and junk food. Right now in 2022 due to bridge construction, a little mess: but later it will be a better visiting palace you can take your family 😊

Would be a really beautiful place to enjoy the sunset but the people there don't maintain the place nicely. It's full of thrash and garbage. Was sad to see such a beautiful place ruined by humans and not proper care is taken.

Iconic place. Good for photographers and one who has a deep interest in reading history. The statue dedicates the battle of straight (Ahoms vs Mughals) in 1671 lead by Lachit Borphukan who was commander in chief in the Ahom dynasty on the banks of the Brahmaputra river in the suburbs of modern Guwahati.
