Sun set views are memorable... Peacefull environment, U can feel nature very closely, U can spend time with ur families, frnds... Temples near shukreshwar ghat are in good condition, peaceful place….. One drawback is that Bank of Bhramputra river is very dirty, because drainage of city are dump directly into the Bhramputra river without any filtration.….

One of the best ghats of Guwahati. The view from the ghat is just spectacular. One can get the view of Peacock Island, Sharaighat Bridge, North Guwahati etc. I found this place pretty peaceful and would recommend everyone to visit there.

Temple is surrounded by nice forest. Flowing river and big size rocks between the temple and the hillock is very attractive.

We went there for seeing Brahmaputra ghat in the evening. Ghat is not well maintained inside the campus there historical Northbrook Gaye also called Gateway of Assam. Adjacent to monument there is a large cafe area called Anamika restaurant which is very ill maintained,May be it is funded by govt. Cafe needs improvement in all aspects.Ghat area should also needs upgradation. I recommend one time visit only.

This is the river side ferry of brahmaputra, here you can get a ferry to go to umananda temple. It took charge or 200/- per head for the umananda ride, and took 250/- for a river cruise ride. Overall location is a good and cool place to sit awhile, with a beautiful view of the river.

Located in the picturesque state of Assam, Shukreshwar Ghat is a hidden gem that offers a tranquil and enchanting experience to its visitors. Nestled along the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River, this ghat is a perfect escape from the bustling city life and provides a serene retreat for nature lovers and spiritual seekers alike. The first thing that strikes you upon arriving at Shukreshwar Ghat is the breathtaking view of the Brahmaputra River. The ghat offers a sweeping panorama of the river, with its shimmering waters and the distant hills forming a majestic backdrop. Whether you visit during sunrise or sunset, the beauty of this place is truly mesmerizing, leaving you in awe of nature's splendor. The ghat itself is well-maintained and provides ample space for visitors to relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. You can find shaded areas under the trees, where you can sit and enjoy the cool breeze while watching boats sail by or locals engaged in their daily activities. The clean surroundings and peaceful ambiance contribute to a sense of calmness and rejuvenation. One of the highlights of Shukreshwar Ghat is its religious significance. The ghat is dotted with small shrines and temples, making it a popular spot for devotees. Many people come here to offer prayers and seek blessings, adding a spiritual dimension to the place. The sound of temple bells and the chanting of prayers create a serene and meditative environment, allowing visitors to find solace and connect with their inner selves. Apart from its religious significance, Shukreshwar Ghat also offers a glimpse into the vibrant local culture of Assam. You can often witness traditional cultural performances, such as Bihu dances, performed by local artists near the ghat. These performances add a touch of festivity and showcase the rich heritage of the region. Additionally, the ghat serves as a gateway to explore the surrounding natural beauty of Assam. You can take a leisurely boat ride along the Brahmaputra River, marveling at the lush green landscapes and spotting various bird species. The river cruise offers a unique perspective of the region and is a must-do activity for nature enthusiasts. In terms of amenities, Shukreshwar Ghat provides basic facilities like clean restrooms and seating areas. However, it's important to note that the ghat may not have extensive commercial infrastructure or a wide range of dining options. It is advisable to carry your own food and water during your visit. Overall, Shukreshwar Ghat in Assam is a hidden treasure that offers a peaceful and captivating experience to all who visit. Whether you are seeking spiritual solace, a rendezvous with nature, or a glimpse into local culture, this ghat has something to offer. Its serene ambiance, stunning views, and religious significance make it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Assam.

A good place to hang around on the bank of Mighty Brahmaputra and one can witness the river dolphin here. Leaving 3 star, cause this place needs more cleanliness. I hope Authority takes a good initiative for that.

Cons- 1. Maintenance- *Structure not well maintained. *Facility maintenance can do better. 2. Cleanliness- *Good. 3. Park- *The children area needs improvement. 4. Archaeology-*Very poorly maintained. *Should not have remade and coloured the Gateway. It needed careful maintenance not re-modelling. **One of the oldest temples. **The Park has a gateway to welcome British merchants during Colonial era.

Serene, away from the hustle bustle of the city once you sit down facing the mighty Brahmaputra. The park is located right by the main road that never sleeps and hundreds of people pass by. But, all these noise and disturbance go away when you make yourself comfortable facing the mighty River. He embraces you like no one else and throws a light of hope of a better tomorrow. Peaceful

A holy place to offer your prayers to the almighty. A must visit for all the tourists. A lot many temples at the same place by the banks of the mighty, majestic river- brahmaputra... Sunset view from the steps (to the river bank) is a treat for all the nature lovers. There are good facilities available for the general public to offer various prayers / pujas at a very nominal fee. You can also arrange to feed people by giving some amounts ... arrangements are available there.

This is the place from where you can take ferry to reach Umananda temple. It costs 250 INR per head for round trip. There are others ghats in the city providing the ferry service for much lower ticket price, but this ferry will be with less crowd compared to others.

Stairs are unsafe for elderly to get up and down specially during pushkar time when we visited.. I am certain the waters are treacherous given the depth and speed of the river with its width at this particular ghat.. Please be extra-cautious. There is an old Sivalayam that is worth visiting at this ghat!

I want to tell that management of temple should focus on cleanliness of temple.i see that people in the temple premises is wearing shoes and chappal and i also see sign of spitting ghutka and pan in the temple premises which is not right and the management must have to make some laws regarding this which must have to be followed strictly.
