No other state has the potential like Assam has in terms tourism. Government has to be more aggressive in terms policy implementation and beautification. Public has made this place "Dustbin" and you can not even stand a second without covering your nose at this place.

A significant place with a lot of history associated with it. The valour and bravery of Bir Lachit Borphukan is noteworthy in the history of Assam. But people have made this touristic place very dirty by littering plastics here and there. The GMC, GMDA, ATDC or whichever authority is associated with it must keep an eye on the maintenance and cleanliness of the place.

The place is very dirty. People just throw garbage everywhere. It's good a good view though. Great place to see the sunset. Lachit Borphukan is a symbol of pride in the state of Assam and the Assamese community due to his 1671 victory against the Mughals in the Battle of Saraighat. The statue is of him leading troops into battle but they've got him facing the wrong way. The Mughal army actually attacked from the northern banks of the Bramhaputra and he should be facing that way instead of towards Guwahati.

The statue of Veer Lachit Borphukan is on the river Brahmaputra. It's a scenic view in the evening. But the place is not well maintained. Lot of garbage around the place. If a park is built near to the statue that would increase the potential of tourism.

Beautiful statue made near cruise point. This is visible from shore as well as it is near to it.This statue is of Lachit Borphukan-the Commander in chief and Borphukan(one of the ministerial position) of the Ahom Kingdom. He is known for thwarting the Mughal forces in the battle of Saraighat in 1671.He is regarded as one of the best Assam has ever produced.Thwarting a mighty Mughal army by leading fron the front(even in illness) and instilling belief in his soldiers takes hell lot of courage.
