Fabulous Sunday lunch in this quaint little village pub. Food is home cooked and delicious and very reasonable too. Beer was well kept and there was a good selection available. Everything was spotlessly clean and they had lovely welcoming fires lit too. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming as were the landlords. This really is a little gem and we look forward to visiting again soon.

We came in yesterday after a lovely long dog walk around Lilley, being a dog friendly pub we sat outside as our rescue can be reactive with other dogs. The owners were so lovely, they offered for us to sit inside in their snug area which is a bit tucked away from the other customers and their pets and asked their friends to keep their dog entertained while we walked through so we didn't have to sit outside (it was a cold afternoon!). I've never been in a pub with such accommodating and friendly landlords/staff. Thanks so much for the lovely food and hospitality :)

Hadn't been here for a good few years, but was pleasantly surprised... service was good and the food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced, also well cooked, 👏👏to the chef...also they sell Aspells cider which is my favourite so that was an added bonus..will definitely be back ...

Been visiting this quaint pub for approx. 30 years but only in the summer time as indoors is a bit cramped. However the rear garden can be entertaining with various on site and visiting birds and animals paying a visit if you are lucky. Also a good range of beers/drinks and food at reasonable prices. We'll worth a visit.

A charming county pub with friendly and helpful staff. We only stopped for a drink in the garden. Wild rabbits and deer are visible in the adjacent field which only adds to the experience.

Didn't use the rooms, so cannot comment. Called in for food after working in the area. Traditionally old style pub, with wooden floors. Lovely chilled out atmosphere Polite friendly welcoming staff. Dog friendly, our furbaby received treats & a bowl of water. Lovely tasty food. Will be going back again.

So many good reviews about this pub, perhaps we went there on a bad day. Staff were friendly, but food was terrible. My chicken was overcooked and smelt/tasted of fish! Menu said it came with salad and chips, but it was served with new potatoes, cauliflower and carrots. I wasn't aware what it came with at the time because food was ordered by a third party beforehand, otherwise I may have said something. I hardly touched the chicken, but complaining there and then I feel extremely awkward about!

Very friendly welcome and service. Food was delivered promptly and all together (we were 5 for lunch). Main courses were excellent, desserts were good. Beer, Tring Brewery's Drop Bar Pale Ale was excellent. Food was reasonably priced. All in all an excellent pub for lunch, will definitely return and strongly recommend it.

Ive been out walking in the local area and noticed this place on my routes and decided to give The Lilley Arms a try. It is a very nice place to come as a lunch stop or watering hole whist out walking. I've been here twice now and the food, drink and service are very good. Prices are very reasonable too! 🙂

It’s got better. Super reliable “Sunday lunch pub”. Classic saloon bar / public bar. The public bar is more fun, but the dining area has more elbow room. Beer always crisp and clean. Adorable staff. The huge Alsatian dog doesn’t seem to like me. That’s ok as he stays in his side of the bar and me on mine. Garden in the summer has mad bird life. (Make of that what you will.)

Food was excellent. Hand prepared and fresh. Room was very cold and we had to keep our coats on. But the food was great and very reasonably priced.

A lively bar, the restaurant when we visited was nicely appointed but quite quiet, just one other couple, hence it just felt a bit cold and soulless! Extensive resonably priced menu the food quality was basic home cooking.
