Very nice ham and cheese croissant. Nicely toasted with ample cheese and ham. Coffee was made well, very flavourful. Not really a clear place to stand and wait for take away. Plenty of parks that are pram accessible. Wheelchair park close as well. Soft dark atmosphere with lights offering a warm inviting setting. Hats and coffee cups available for purchase.

Inconsistency in food quality. I use to dine-in here from time to time. The food and coffee was good. The last 6 months have been extremely disappointing, either the meat is too burnt or the food is not fresh. Today I ordered from 'uber eats': Avocado Smash-$17, it tasted so bitter it was inedible and so greasy. I also ordered the tabouleh salad-$17, the greens were not fresh and too many red capsicums. Overall everything tasted terrible. I think most of the 'good' reviews come from locals and business around them. It's the local spot to go so people are attached to this place. I'm sure they still have their good days when the food is fresh and the right staff is working. But for me even the coffee is not good anymore. I have been disappointed every time I have ordered anything from here for the last 6 months. And I will not be returning. Very sad, because it's one of the only nice places around this area. I end up throwing the food you see in the photo in the garbage as it tasted terrible.

This is such a nice and cosy cafe! Had a very good experience with all the friendly staff there and the very smooth coffee. Ordered a Korean style bulgogi beef sandwich and it is very delicious! It’s special and you don’t find it easily elsewhere. The menu is very multicultural and there’s a lot of other dishes I want to come back and try! The seats are comfortable and the overall vibe and decoration is decent and enjoyable. Recommended!

Hidden gem in North lakes!! Loved the big lunch that has a variety of fusion asian dishes. Matcha latte was smooth and flavour of cold brew coffee was so refreshing!! We’ll definitely be back here when we visit North lakes.

The shop's decorations are full of industrial style. It is not an ordinary cafe, but more like fusion restaurant. It offer bai mei, waffle and egg benedict for breakfast.

This is my second time to come here but I enjoyed the food on both visits. It was flavourful and very delicious. Service was fast too and the staff are very friendly. I have recommended the place to my friends and I will be definitely come back to try the other food on the menu. Best broccoli 🥦 I have tasted. 😁

I love Blaktan! Been a few times now & they always do their best to fit you in & have as comfortable as possible. They're always so polite even if you have to ask them, please repeat that, three times. 😳 The food is Soo filling & we always forget this! Before we order, we watch the meals going out to other tables & try as politely as possible to ask the staff what the ones are we can't guess. 😁 The staff are so kind to always respond to us too! & Even make recommendations! I'm not suggesting everyone to do this now, or no one will get food. We will all just be sitting around waiting for someone to order so we can see a meal. 😂 But also, I'm sure the staff are busy enough. -Only Con- The Knives! LOL They Cut Nothing!

Wow wow wow! Blaktan is decadent and downright delicious. Coffee was on point, breakfast was outstanding. I really rate this place for anyone in the area. Even travelling here is a wise decision, you won't be disappointed 👌

Got there at lunch, not too busy thankfully. Food was prompt, fresh and delicious. Had the Aburi Salmon Rice bowl. The rice was nice and fluffy, the salmon was nice and fresh and the bok choy nice and plum and freshly fried. The service was great and the whole place was heated to make the dining experience great. 10/10 will eat again.

A hidden gem in the North Lakes commercial area . Am from Bribie Island and accidentally found this place when shopping at a nearby store. Have now been here twice. Once for lunch then returned for breakfast another time. Hard cement floors with inside and out casual dining in a relaxed casual atmosphere . The food I suppose is best described as Asian fusion with Japanese influence. The food for both lunch and breakfast was outstanding and the coffee was great and bought some beans to take home for my grinder. Service was fast, efficient and friendly by an all Asian staff. I just wish I could wrap up this place and it’s staff and take it back to Bribie Island .

Love this place, one of my regular favourites as the staff are so friendly and the quality of the food is consistently great, the pics are of all from different occasions. They show good attention to detail, and it's really the little things that speak volumes. They always remember all of my add-ons and there's always enough hollandaise sauce! 🤤 If ever there's an issue they happily remedy it with kindness, always a pleasure to eat here, thank you Blacktan crew! ☺️🙏✨

This is a fantastic Korean restaurant tucked away in the industrial district. The coffee beans are roasted on site, which is why the coffee fanatics line up the door almost constantly. The food was presented well, along with the drinks. Some, not all, flavours are either lacking or a bit too much of something, but still worth a try. The workers are knowledgeable and friendly, with the decor spot on. A definite cafe to try if you’re in the area.

I loved the smashed avo which had an asian twist and it was amazing. The customer service is great. Coffee is really good. I would recommend to try out their mocha and also matcha latte.

Food was bursting with flavours! Family praised the KFC and the chicken stir fry rice noodles. Not a lot of vegan options sadly. Lotus chips and edamame for me! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Will definitely go back :-)

This is THE BEST CAFE on the North side of Brisbane possibly all of Brisbane. The coffee is extraordinary and the food is absolutely amazing. We love going here as a family and I have never had anything bad to mention in all of my visits.

Lunch with a family member that has been there before - was an interesting experience Friendly staff. The Macha Drink with Coconut Milk and Oat Milk was ok - lots of ice cubes and not much of coconut milk. The request was not much ice - that was ignored. - maybe a bit over-priced for the amount you get. The Gyozas to soft and very thin and falling apart. 9$ overpriced for 5 pieces. As they also sell Coffee beens and grind the beans on the premisesyou can emagin the smell - you want a coffee straight away. You can purchase the Coffee in a 1 kg bag - over 40 $ and smaller quantities also. Overall ok but it won't be repeated.

Food was amazing! Super impressed with this hidden gem. Great value too and the staff were so nice and patient and cozy ambiance. Also, the takoyaki and lotus chips are a must-have. I requested for no vegetables on my rice cos I don't like vegetables else usually there's a pile of cabbage and stuff on it as well but I like it better this way the teriyaki and mayo just works so well

My family and I absolutely love Blaktan. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is absolutely delicious and gorgeous. The atmosphere is wonderful and upbeat during the day, and perfect for dinner and drinks at night. I always recommend to visitors and I take our family there all the time.

The soft shell crab was packed with flavour with a generous portion size. The beef vermicelli noodle salad was beautiful and fresh. The lotus chips are nice and crunchy. Friendly, quick service. Can't complain!

Absolutely amazing!! Everything from the good food to the service. Ordered the matcha pancakes, fully loaded with matcha goodness paired with the best matcha latte I've ever had. My wife had the eggs benny with aburi salmon, smelled amazing and tasted heavenly! Plentyof high chairs available and very accommodating to kids. 100% will have to come back to try the rest of the menu. Please support this amazing business.

I’ve been going to Blaktan since they have opened and have consistently returned whenever I can, even after moving away from NL region after leaving home. The food itself is a reason to return, however the service and atmosphere is equally top notch. I will forever recommend this lovely place to all my friends. My favourite dish includes the aburi salmon eggs benny/rice bowl (pictured). Cannot love this joint anymore than I do!

Awesome little gem of a cafe tucked away in Northlakes. Food was brilliant, generous and tasty and the service comes with a welcome bubbly smile. They roast their own house blend (also for sale!) and do a pretty great matcha and chai latte too. Came in a group of 4 and all ordered the Asian Eggs Benny which was definitely next level. Will definitely be back when out this direction.

Absolutely love this cafe! Since the first time I went there about 3 years ago, I went back now and then, I took my family there and recommend them to friends. I always went there for lunch because I am too late, missed their breakfast. They provide various selection for lunch, you can taste cuisine from Japen, Vietnam, Korea, China or more, quite different.

Driven past so many times and finally went in. Indoors has a great atmosphere. Food was solid, would be great to see more vegan options but can't complain, what I had was still good. Definitely recommend a visit. Plus the coffee was top notch.

Really delicious Asian fusion food. The staff are so welcoming and friendly - was very busy but they tidied a table very promptly so we could sit at one we wanted. I’m dairy free and they had many options I could choose from that all sounded tasty and the dish I chose was very enjoyable. Our food did arrive at different times but it was still amazing

Really nice food and friendly staff. There is inside air conditioned seating and outside option with lovely decor. I enjoyed a quick lunch of baobuns and fresh lime squash 👌 Very reasonable prices for quality. I’ll be back to try the coffee. Feels like a bit of a hidden gem tucked unexpectedly away in this shopping area.

Fantastic coffee. If you’ve never been a big black coffee drinker, recommend trying their hand drip iced coffee, very easy to drink, not bitter and a fantastic coffee hit. Great beef okonomiyaki and coffee! Friendly staff. Given the clean and well styled atmosphere, the prices were surprisingly affordable.

I’ve been here twice and after each visit I always wonder what has bothered me about the meal. The first time, I ordered the big breakfast and was surprised to find it didn’t come with toast. The next visit I ordered the bao buns, which were gobbled up within three minutes of it being served. The food is delicious but in my opinion I don’t get the value that I’m looking for. Ps, staff are friendly too.

Facts: Blaktan coffee named after a black and tan rottweiler dog "Licensed Asian fusion cafe" Serving asian inspired food that roast their own coffee bean. Place is conveniently located in industrial business area in Northlakes. We ordered beef with rice and roast pork with rice and it did not dismay our taste buds. It was a satisfying lunch indeed! Meals are served in a snap! An affordable meal!

Just went there for a cup of coffee in the spur of the moment and I must say we were a bit disappointed and didn’t quite enjoy the coffee. We didn’t order anything to eat so cannot comment on their food. But I wouldn’t just go there for coffee. Also the staff looked a bit lost and weren’t not too welcoming.
