I
have
no
choice
as
I
am
a
100%
disabled
veteran
and
have
no
other
insurance.
On
several
occasions,
I
needed
emergency
services,
but
I
stayed
home
instead
of
driving
23
miles
there
while
injured.
My
experience
with
the
VA
makes
me
regret
my
service
and
if
I
could,
I
would
not
have
entered
the
military.
Every
veteran
with
whom
I
have
spoken
are
unhappy
about
the
VA
Healthcare
System.
Even
veteran
employees
cannot
get
what
they
need.
What
would
be
great
would
be
urgent
care.
I
live
less
than
two
miles
from
UMC
Quickcare.
If
I
could
be
covered
by
going
there,
my
life
would
be
better.
If
I
call
911,
and
get
taken
to
Summerlin
Hospital
would
I
be
covered
by
the
VA.
The
answer
is
a
secret
and
no
one
can
give
a
suitable
answer.
I
do
not
wish
to
incur
a
$2,000
ambulance
ride
and
$10,000
or
more
in
hospital
bills.
I
am
100%
sure
I
had
a
heart
attack,
but
I
took
my
chances.
A
heart
attack
sounds
expensive
and
I
did
not
want
to
financially
destroy
myself
because
I
needed
medical
care.
I
am
also
one
of
those
people
who
have
blood
pressure
issues
at
the
VA.
My
BP
is
usually
around
130/75.
It
has
been
like
that
since
the
1990s.
My
BP
goes
up
40
-
50
points
hen
I
pull
into
the
parking
lot.
It
really
is
shocking.
Lisinopril
is
a
horrible
medicine.
According
to
a
four
volume
set
of
books
written
by
a
nephrologist,
Lisinopril
is
on
the
list
of
very
toxic
chemicals
for
the
kidneys.
I
see
my
primary
care
doctor
a
couple
times
per
year.
He
takes
a
snapshot
of
my
BP
and
doses
me
with
too
much
Lisinopril.
I
am
prescribed
20
mg.
I
am
cutting
each
tablet
into
for
pieces.
When
I
had
food
poisoning
last
fall,
my
BP
was
87/46.
They
tell
me
that
number
isn't
too
low,
but
it
feels
low.
I
believe
it
is
too
low
and
my
heart,
organs,
etc.
are
starved
for
blood.
I
tried
to
discuss
it
with
my
doctor
and
he
tells
me
I
am
not
allowed
to
ask
questions.
I
was
using
Medicaid
during
my
transition
out
of
the
workplace
until
I
could
I
started
receiving
benefits
and
it
was
much
better
than
the
VA
and
the
people
at
Medicaid
treated
me
with
respect
which
is
rare
at
the
VA.
Some
people
have
real
need
when
they
use
Medicaid.
Others
who
use
Medicaid
are
useless
dregs
of
society
who
are
drug
addicts
that
are
parasites
on
the
system.
It
disgusts
me
that
a
worthless
scumbag
gets
treated
better
by
Medicaid
than
a
veteran
who
served
his/her
country.
Veterans
are
used
by
the
military
and
discarded
by
the
VA.
If
I
had
the
opportunity
to
do
it
differently,
I
would
have
joined
the
band.
