Truly a hidden gem. Food is prepared to order and come nice big portions. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We were a party of 5 and since it was our first time we just wanted to try everything. Ordered multiple kind of bentos, the pound of poke, the fried rice and for dessert we had the Long John, Guava cake and every kind of turnover. Everything was just delicious and we could barely finish everything we ordered. Definitely a bang for your buck to come here and I plan to return as soon as I can! Important: groups of 8 or more do require a reservation!

It is located in the run down area of Las Vegas in a small strip mall. Don't let the area turn you off from having a excellent meal. They have a lot of specials that aren't on the menu that changes everyday. Like today we had the Sweet & Sour Pork which is really more sweet then sour. Pork Ribs in a sweet pineapple ginger sauce. Ribs are fall off the bone tender that are served with two scoops of white rice. We also tried the Kalua Pork which was very tender and had a nice smoky flavor. Chinese Chicken Salad had a full Chicken Breast which was unexpected. Eating here you won't be disappointed.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - we ordered two items: pit BBQ combo with teriyaki beef, barbecue chicken, and kalbi beef & chicken katsu. The BBQ combo was surprisingly good! The chicken was moist and well marinated and the kalbi was tender and so flavorful! 1/5 - Unfortunately, the chicken in the katsu was bad so we had to return the plate. Seems like they examined the plate as well as other marinated chicken and noticed others were bad as well. They were really apologetic regarding the situation and offered any replacement dish or a refund. 2/5 - The pork hash is the Hawaiian version of a Chinese shumai where a dumpling skin is filled with seasoned pork. The bite sized item was quite salty but bland in any other flavor. It was quite dry as well. Not sure if it was made in house or a frozen bag but not their best item. Ambience: 4/5 - a bit of a mixed space where decorations clashed and it seemed that everything was thrown in to have enough seats and tables. There is a coffee/pastry shop in the same building that is ran by someone completely different. The menu is quite overwhelming with the colors and fonts Service: 5/5 - friendly and very willing to help. One of the gentleman was really knowledgeable and offered recommendations as well. Value for price: 3/5 - the menu pricing doesn't always match the register so the BBQ pit combo was more expensive than expected

**The Junkfood Connoisseur** pays a visit. The food is incredible. The staff is incredible. I've never had anything like this before. Hidden jem in Vegas? ... and they have the Lions game on...

Just moved to Vegas and being originally from Hawaii I was craving some local food. We have been to this restaurant before and I just can’t get enough. Auntie and her crew are always so helpful and the food is amazing. Last time we were there they didn’t have picked mango, so that was a must. Ordered the huge pork hash, oxtail soup and loco moco and the portions are huge and flavorful. This will be one of our go to spots when in the mood for Hawaiian food!! Mahalo PIT 🤙🏼

No frills....just ono (delicious) hawaiian food! Plenty of hawaiian style plates to choose from and a good selection of desserts (where is the haupia pie?). Had some live music when we visited with songs that took me back to living island style.

Hidden gem. Located a short 10-15 walk from the Westgate, very much off the strip, in a bit run down area. But it was one of our best meals in Vegas. We went for a late breakfast our first visit and returned a couple days later for lunch. The Poke was so good. Also, the fried rice, too. Unfortunately we were so hungry, I did not take a photo. The wait is a bit long, but worth the wait.

Gosh Pacific Island Taste was such a treat. The service there is the best I have ever received. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel like family. Janette was fantastic and observant. She went out of her way to take care of us. There is live music while you eat. Please note that they prioritize quality, so their food can take 30-40 minutes to prepare, but that’s how you know it’s good! Onto the food. Saimin soup was fantastic and tasted exactly like the ones I had in Hawaii. The broth was flavorful, and they weren’t shy about the toppings and portions. Musubi was bomb. Pork hash were homemade and fantastic. Prices were way too cheap for the quality and quantity they provided. 10/10. Will be back.

I discovered this place on a recent trip back home to the "9th Island." I cannot begin to rave enough about the quality of the food and the aloha spirit of the staff. As soon as you walk in the restaurant, it feels as if you've been teleported to a mom and pop shop in Hawaii. Once I sat down, I noticed that everyone inside was Hawaiian. To me, this is a VERY good sign, and speaks to the quality of the dishes. I ordered a char siu manapua and spam musubi to start and the eggs, spam, and corned beef hash breakfast plate, which comes with rice. I ordered a side of mac salad as well. As I waited for my food, I chilled to the Hawaiian reggae jams of Maoli and Common Kings the restaurant was playing. As soon as the food arrived, I was not disappointed. The portions were huge! Everything was perfect! Truly ono, and broke da mouf. After we finished, the owner took time to come to our table to make sure everything was good. Also, we got to talk story with the owner's grandson who brought our food over. It's all of these small details that make Pacific Island Taste your destination for Aloha.

The guys here are really polite and nice. This was one of the best places we came to in Vegas. It’s a little off the strip and unassuming but the food is great. Mishubi where I’m from is hard to find and there’s is great. We tried 4 different ones and liked the traditional the best even though the others were very good. Poke was great to and a meat combo plate was filling and also very good!

So so SO so good! Huge portions and incredibly fresh! The laulau was literally perfection! Definitely worth the wait for made-to-order freshness. The service was wonderful, we were greeted when we walked in and thanked as we left. Everyone was super friendly! The neighborhood wasn’t super cute, but the restaurant itself is very clean, casual, but nicely decorated, and well kept. I would absolutely eat here again! This will now be our go-to Hawaiian food spot whenever we’re in Vegas!

This was my first time eating Hawaiian food and I had the BEST experience! I ordered the Pacific Bento on a work-lunch trip and it was amazing! Definitely have leftovers for dinner (and could maybe stretch to tomorrow's lunch!) The restaurant had fun, vibe-y music and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. The food came out in a timely manner and was presented exactly like the photos on their website (which I very much appreciated). I would absolutely recommend this eatery to anyone, period!

I got the island bento which had two types of chicken, pork hash, rice, and a hot dog. All of it was very delicious. The people that work there were very nice and we're excellent hosts. I come to Vegas every year for a conference so I pick my restaurants very carefully and I will definitely be back to this one. It's a nice casual atmosphere which I appreciate.

Oh my gosh…. So delicious! We had two combination plates and they were AMAZING!! Absolutely will visit here again when we come back to visit. We also ordered two turnovers and they came out hot and delicious. So good. My daughters and I give it absolutely 5 stars Taste was incredible. Portions were fantastic size. We share 2 plates with 3 people and still have left overs And the price is phenomenal for what you get. Service and people were amazing. The pictures are post eating some of the food off the plate. 😂 We were hungry.

From the outside, looks are deceiving. And though the interior can use a face-lift it doesn't take away the fact that the food is absolutely DeeeeLish 👌 I lived in Hawaii for a couple of years and the plates we ordered here really took us back. Outstanding meals prepped fresh on site, Outstanding customer service and pricing everyone can afford. The wait time to get your meal might be a little long for some but when you realize how the meals are prepared you'll discover it's justified. A+++ Recommend if you're a local or visiting

Unreal experience. Probably 4 meals, to be honest. So tremendous value. Awesome food. Loved the chicken and beer, the katsu with curry sauce, and the noodles. Would 100% go back

VERY AWESOME PLACE! The atmosphere was relaxing and home-y. They had live music to match the Hawaiian food. Nothing like Hawaiian folk music to enjoy the delicious food. Ordered the JJs bento box, Pacific bento box, a pork belly mushu, and spam mushu with Hawaiian sunset drinks that were amazing! The portions for the price were more than affordable. I liked the variety in both boxed but recommend JJs just because it had more and more variety. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly! They checked up on us frequently. It is self seating/ ordering. Overall 11 out of 10. Do so by you will not regret it!

This place was amazing!!!! I was looking for a taste of home since I been away from the islands for so long and found it here in Vegas at Pacific Island Taste while visiting! I had the Portuguese Sausage eggs and rice which was delicious, pork hash that broke the mouth and the hot mustard was bomb!!!! Then I finished it off with a soft ono malasada filled with Guava! If you haven’t tried this place out you’re missing out!!! This place had the right atmosphere and the service was top notch!

Yo! This place is good! Walked over from the Sahara on a Tuesday for an early lunch and it was so worth it. Got the Katsu Curry Loco Moco plus some Spam Musibi and due to my lack of self control and how tasty it was, I ate all of it and was stuffed! The prices were reasonable and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The flavor of everything was great, much better than the typical chains like L&L (which I also love). I especially liked for loco Moco that it wasn't completely doused in sauce - everything was balanced! So good, I will 100% come back next time I'm in Vegas!

Big on flavor and cheap on price.Nice little place, the owner walks around and will talk to you and if your food isn’t out in a reasonable manner she will get after her kitchen staff. The good is made fresh so it can take a little time depending on how busy they are.

This place is so awesome! It exceeded our expectation. From the moment we get in, they pay attention to the every detail. Food is really amazing!! This is the best authentic Hawaiian food that me and my husband tried 👌🏻 J’s Bento box is a must try 🔥 words cannot express how this place is so wonderful 🥰 Will definitely come back when we visit Vegas again 🫶🏻

A friend took me here and I was definitely impressed by the meal. The staff were great, courteous and at many times had us laughing quite a bit. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Beef Spare Rib Soup and it was very flavorful. My friend gave me some of his BBQ chicken and that was delicious as well. Another friend had the Oxtail Soup and she said it was very good as well. I would definitely recommend that you visit this restaurant for some great tasting meals!

This restaurant was very close to my hotel and it did not disappoint. The people working here are super nice, friendly, give great recommendations, and overall just feels like a homey kind of spot. The food here is simply perfection! From the entrees, to the main and the dessert, it was all A1! Super flavorful and filling for a really good price. Cheaper than what I would pay back home. ;) I love Hawaiian food so eating here really brought me back. I would highly recommend people to come here. Get off the strip and eat Hawaiian!

Overall: 4.2/5 (take out) I ordered through their website which is through Clover. It said that it would take 40 minutes to make but I came after 50 minutes and still had to wait another 5 minutes or so. Hawaiian Sun Lilikoi Lychee ($1.90): Light lychee flavor but it tastes like I'm eating the actual lychee. Wild. It did take a few sips for me to adjust so it does grow on you. Taro Turnover ($3.25): OMG, this is the best taro turnover I've ever had! This is so unique to Hawaii as well. I tried the McDonald's taro pie in Hawaii and wished they had it in the U.S. but I couldn't find anything like it here until now. The turnover is huge and was packaged separately in its own box. The pastry was still warm by the time I got home. I fell in love with the first bite. The turnover was so flakey, the taro frosty was delicious (I was licking it off the parchment paper - TMI), and the taro cubes inside were sweet. I need to come back to try their other turnovers! The Manapua Man Special ($8.99): The portion size is big so it's worth the price. The fried saimin was very bland so I added Sriracha. It was on the drier side too which I'll take over oily noodles. The manapua is a Hawaiian version of the pork bun. The pork is light in flavor but airs on the sweeter side. The bao itself is soft & fluffy. The best thing about this special is the pork hash which is the equivalent of a shu mai but without the shrimp. It's super flavorful, juicy, & delicious. Side of Meat Jun ($5.99): Meat jun is basically beef dipped in egg. This meat jun was so much better than the mochiko chicken so I'm surprised they don't offer this in any of their combo/special plates. The beef was tender. What's interesting is that most of the flavor was in the egg which I loved. This was my favorite out of everything I ate (except for dessert). Mochiko Chicken Bowl ($5.99) With All Mac Salad ($0.50): The mochiko chicken looks like chicken karaage but with a very thin batter. The flavor light & on the sweeter side. Some pieces of chicken were soft while others were hard. They put the chicken on a thin layer of cabbage. I think if they topped off the chicken & cabbage with a sauce or even just furikake, they would have tasted better. Unfortunately they forgot my mac salad so I lost out on $1.50. I called the restaurant to let them know, and they said they will let the manager know so we'll see if I get that portion refunded.

Great atmosphere and service. Food is authentic and well made. Hawaiian plate was very filling. Kimchi musubi had the perfect ratio of spam to rice.

Definition of a hole in the wall! We went in for lunch on a Saturday and they had live music playing. The donut balls were delicious and so were the other desserts they had. Their main food was also good and they served sizeable portions. Staff was very friendly. Would highly recommend!

You won't be disappointed with this Hawaiian place! The service was top notch and the food was freshly cooked and came out hot! This was seriously one of the best Hawaiian meals I've ever had.

Wow such good food. Got the katsu loco moco, long John silver, poke bowl and at Kona coffee, which is inside and next to the restaurant, a Kona coffee, Mochi butter. Both were SO good. Happy to support small business and they love what they make. Worth a visit for sure, the plaza area isn’t fancy, but the food will speak for itself.

Ignore the modest exterior and you'll be rewarded with a fantastic, flavorful meal! After a week in Vegas going to high end places up and down the strip, we had our best meal of the trip at Pacific Island Taste. I had J's Bento Box which was a combo platter of dishes, all of them delicious!
