Restaurant Mexican restaurant

👍👍 I've been waiting for a year to find real Mexican since I moved from the west coast. Not this Tex Mex garbage you see everywhere in the south. This place is legit. Made me feel like I was home again. Worth your money and time

They had a grilled chicken special after smelling it cooking there was no way I wasn't getting that. It was really good and I cleaned my plate.

My wife and I have given this place a try three or four times before leaving a review. Seeing the other reviews largely confirms our experiences. They are are not an anomaly. They have frequently been out of much of their menu, especially the weekend menu. Don’t even bother trying to order from that. One time we went they were out of chips. You can fry tortillas or go to the store. A Mexican restaurant with no chips is simply inexcusable. Our service has always been really poor and virtually non existent. No one wants to wait on you and you feel they just want you to leave and you are bothering the staff. On our visit today it took 45 minutes from the time we sat to get six tacos. Granted it was 15 minutes before anyone came to see us and we were at the bar. The server’s shirt was filthy. That was the first thing I noticed. He kept asking what we wanted to drink. I told him I needed a menu. No one had brought us one. I wanted to see the drink options. Once we put our order in, we were having a nice conversation and then they cranked up the juke box so loud we couldn’t even talk. It was hurting your ears and head kind of loud and I listen to metal music. That should tell you something. Our server never came to see if we needed refills. They missed drink sales there. We watched a woman mixing drinks and taking shots of tequila while she did it. Furthermore she was eating fruit with her fingers while making someone else’s drink, so fruit in her mouth with her fingers and then touching fruit for someone else’s drink without washing her hands. We got tired of waiting on a ticket and so I just went to the register to pay and let them go find him. This was not just one bad day as this is fairly common. We spent an hour and ten minutes there but I assure you we will not spend a minute or a dollar more there. Beware.

Best salsa I've ever had! Couldn't get enough. If they sold it in jars I'd buy enough to fill a shelf at the house. The pastor tacos were great, but the barbacoa won the day! Definitely what I'll be getting next time. Only minor complaint was the rice and beans weren't very warm, but tasted plenty good enough to overlook it. Look forward to coming back here next time I'm in town!

We ordered cheese dip with jalapeños, shrimp tacos, shrimp quesadilla, regular margarita and a Dos Equis. Liked that they brought out fresh salsa and chips for free. Cheese dip was ok but they changed the chips from homemade style to round Tostitos. Margarita was way too sweet and red which is not what a regular margarita should be. Entrees we're just ok. Slow service.

Really good authentic Mexican food! They were out of alot of important things like salsa, cheese dip and most drinks but the dinner platters really made up for it in the end. It was really hot inside so overall I will definitely go back and just get take out.

Amazing food and one of the few places I know of that has good gorditas. I highly recommended
