Lovely welcome from an extremely polite and helpful young man. Nice room, small but perfect for just me, clean and comfortable bed, really nice being given proper milk for my tea and biscuits as well! Negatives: the noise from the bar/restaurant below was very loud and the music sounded like it was in my room, fine in the evening as it went off at 11, however it started for the breakfast service at 7am!!! The taps in the bathroom need looking at as the hot tap moves and cold one drips and it was very hard to shut off. I would definitely recommend this hotel however and your staff were so lovely and helpful

Nice place, but pricey by after service fee is added to the tab plus a drink each and Vat two Roast Beef lunches is the best part of £70 and the kitchen needs to warm the plates in this winter weather or food is cold by the time it gets to the table. But the food is good, nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Absolutely fantastic! Loved the food and the service was brilliant. The Pie was one of the best we've ever had, perfectly seasoned and delicious mashed potato thank you so much, we will be back

Freddie our waiter was brilliant, good communication and service. The food was excellent, the sauce with the sea bream was delicious. One point to note is that my husband felt his battered fish and chips were slightly over-salted but did enjoy them. Go easy on the salt! The other disappointment - and only minor, we were taken to a dirty table to sit at - not by Freddie. Freddie cleaned it for us but it would be good to clean the tables before taking customers to them. However all in all a very enjoyable meal and evening. Thank you to Freddie.

Stayed for two nights over Christmas, excellent friendly staff all round and very, very dog friendly. Bed and bedding very comfortable but room decor tired. Food in general was excellent but the Christmas main event was spoiled by the speed of service, booked in for 13:30 but didn't get the main until nearly 15:30 by which time the turkey was dry and the veg very limp with soggy roast potatoes which was disappointing. Sprouts were like bullets as per the norm for pub food.

The best NY ever! Such a great atmosphere, excellent service and good food. The NY singer was an unexpected bonus and was excellent, especially the impromptu duet with your GM! Superb! Loved the dancing, really made the night. Thank you.

We booked this for a Sunday Roast and were not disappointed by what we got. We all ordered different dishes and were suitably pleased with portions, flavours and service. There could be a better offering on deserts for gluten free customers, there wasn't anything aside ice cream or sorbet, neither of which were going to cut it! It had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were super attentive.

Room lovely, bed comfortable, staff very busy, but still polite and helpful. Food delicious - we had an evening meal and breakfast the next morning. Love the idea of the hot buffet, that worked really well. We'll definitely be back 🤗

We called into The Feathers on a Thursday afternoon hoping to find a room for the following night. Libby came to our rescue with the help of the chef who gave up the spare room that had been kept for them. We also needed a late breakfast on the Saturday morning and the kitchen made this available an hour after it would usually have finished. Thank you to Libby, the chef and all the team for making these arrangements. We really appreciated the trouble everyone went to.

Great food, great staff. Really tasty and interesting menu. Sorry but I don't get the steak night. There isn't any incentive to have a steak. You used to do a glass of wine and a desert with it.

Very warm welcome, all staff very friendly and listened to requests. Wine felt over priced, no cheaper options and the two we selected were disappointing for the money. Starters and sides really excellent. Mains, steak and haddock disappointing especially given the price. Highlights the service and the starters.

With having a dog Norfolk is one of our favourite parts of the country and we were looking to treat ourselves for a few days. The Feathers came up as dog friendly, the booking was made with the hotel, the response from the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, at the time of the booking I was told Lotti, our dog, would have her own bed and treats when we arrived. We were met with a warm reception on arrival and proceeded to our room, true to their word at the foot of the large double bed was a well presented dog bed containing treats, dog shampoo, towel and water bowl, perfect. The friendliness and warmth shown by all the staff during out stay was wonderful. A big thank you to all the staff there a credit to themselves and the hotel 👏👏👏

Staff are lovely. Issue with my room as the sky light cover had come off, there was a clear plastic screen left, so I was woken by brilliant sunshine at 4.30am. But they kindly changed my room the next morning. Rooms could do with new wallpaper, shower was excellent. It is the first time I have taken my dog to a hotel with me and found The Feathers a very dog friendly hotel with dog bed, dog shampoo, treats and a bowl. Lovely touch. Food was lovely

Very comfortable clean room. Food menu however was lacking in any creativity. Having eaten at two other Inns in the Chestnut Group The Feathers main menu was disappointing. Breakfast was very good and hot food was not greasy. We enjoyed the break in North Norfolk.

Stopped in for a roast today. It was superb, i asked staff if they had a new chef and they do. Well he clearly knows what he is doing. Beef was perfect, dark rich gravy and care had been taken with the veg as well. My wife had chicken equally as nice. Staff lovely and Hells on tap! Whats not to love!

We had a fantastic stay in the rooms around the corner! It is a short walk from the pub to the accommodation. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. There was a lovely garden, with lots of seating. In the mornings, it was a short walk back to the pub for breakfast. This was buffet style, with lots of choice and a lovely area to eat. The staff were friendly, helpful, and cheerful. Brilliant place!

Two very good sharing platters to start. The steaks were well cooked exactly as we like them. The chips and fries were good. The flat irons were described as with Bearnaise sauce but came with peppercorn. It took a while to change the sauce. The salad accompaniment was over-salted and we could not finish it. We thought the steaks were overpriced, especially the ribeye, considering we were eating bistrot-style rather than in an elegant restaurant.

Myself and my husband stayed for 1 night bed and breakfast and also had an evening meal, I must say that all the staff were lovely, especially the waitresses and the young girl on reception, who was very friendly and helpful. Our room, although not huge was very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable and the towels large, white and fluffy, perfect! Our evening meal was superb, well done to the chef whose veggie meal was very imaginative, such a change from the usual veg lasagna that most places seem to serve. A brilliant stay, thank you!

We stayed in Room 20 in The Lawns. It was clean and tidy, the exterior doors of the room were a bit stiff and the other/fire exit door in the room didn't open fully- forgot to mention at checkout sorry. The food was great, no surprise there. My only regret is not eating more. The only reason we've given 4 instead of 5 stars service was a little slow in the evening between courses compared to the tables around us. Not enough to deter us from our mission to try all Chestnut Inns and Pubs though.

Wonderful setting. Very attentive service. Really enjoyed the local charcuterie board. Best Fish and Chips in North Norfolk. Will return soon!

First impression, very welcoming albeit the staff member forgot to iron her shirt!! Food could have been better, my steak which was asked for med/rare mooed off the plate and the chips were soggy. I was offered a free dessert, which is probably the strangest dessert I have ever eaten. Tannis in the bar was very friendly and a pleasure to have a drink with. Amanda who I believe is new to the job was a credit to your company, nothing was too much bother, she would go the extra mile if necessary.

Just returned from a lovely weekend at The Feathers. Food was fantastic as was the service. The bed was superbly comfortable and the shower was always hot. Bathroom had a fabulous mirror to do your make up in. We stayed in one of the 'Best' rooms. Only downside we found was the room was directly in front of a pedestrian crossing (which is not the hotels fault) and the buzzer was used about every 2 minutes. However in the evening with less footfall it was quiet. The town is beautiful and there is a lot to do here. We will be back!!

Have been here a couple of times now for evening meals. Both times the service has been great and the food has been excellent. Flat iron steak is particularly good. And our dog was naked particularly welcome. Thoroughly recommended.

Really good customer service and a special mention to Sarah on Thursday night in the restaurant, she was exceptional. So friendly and helpful. We found the hotel really dog friendly and the treats were a lovely touch. The only downside was the food, although no major issues but my desert was on the dry side and found the breakfast food Luke warm at best. However our stay was lovely and will be looking to book another visit before the end of the year.
