Visited 3 schools. One of the competitors wouldn't even schedule an in person meeting. Raphaels staff was unbelievably nice and answered all our questions. The manager and enrollment officer are fantastic! They made our experience fun and educational. We have signed up and are now halfway through school. If you want a great education for your hard earned money, come here.

I went to school here for years 2020-2022. Yes 2 years. And it only took me two years because I found out the same year my mom had stage 3 breast cancer. Everyone in the facility knew about it so did all my classmates and peers. I had to miss so much school because I was working, driving, cooking and cleaning for my mom because she could not while she went through chemotherapy. I Missed so much school they took my financial aid away despite them knowing my situation. Unfortunately that led to having to work and pay off school while already providing my mom when she was sick. They told me I had a chance to appeal it and get my financial aid back. The appeal was an essay explaining why I missed so many days of school and also gave them proof of documents matching the hours I missed. Later to find out they “probably” or “most likely” accepted my appeal but never explained that if I wasn’t present that day I would not receive that aid back. I still finished my 1800 hours in cosmetology and now year later and I’m still having to pay out of pocket $7,000 after already paying them soooo much already because my mom being sick wasn’t a good enough reason to give back my financial aid. I even talked in person with one of the big bosses and still nothing was done about it. The facility that was working the years I was there was always changing. We never had a stable cosmetology instructor. I was not the the only student to experience owing so much money out of pocket. I hope there’s change a year later. But in my opinion, save your money and time and stress, because for someone who finished the hours should NOT have to still be held back from getting their license all because of this school being money hungry. The time here for me, it just was not fun. But in the upside I met new amazing friends who can vouch for the stuff this school put me and is still putting me through.

i’m sure they do a good job at teaching services and what not and the students are relatively friendly but the whole place, instructors included just lack customer service.

I have enjoyed my time at this school. I feel as though I learned a lot and my experience was good despite what others might say. I have made wonderful friendships and connections with my fellow classmates and instructors.

If you value your hair at all I highly recommend going anywhere else. I left with giant discolored patches in my hair. I understand that it's a school I nicely asked the teacher to please just color all of the strands that the student missed the teacher refused. They do not care about you or your hair I left here in tears it professional !!!!

I had a good time at Raphael school of beauty. I literally had the best instructors, coming in to meet Ms.Banks and learning how to properly do facials and waxing and more. Then entering Serena class and getting more in-depth with chemistry/ anatomy, learning more techniques. Finally entering Mrs. Dominique (MS.DOLLARS) literally the best nail instructor I could ever ask for. She had went beyond in just giving us information in just a short period of time. MS.Dollars is the best. I have gain family and friends and sticking it through. I was a combo student who go the program done in just 6 1/2 months.. I didn’t have a problem with no instructor nor management I literally came to school 8am-5pm to help me a step closer to my goals. Thank you to the North Olmsted Campus and teaching me information to take into my next chapter.

I was a student recently there. My long term goal was and still is to be a licensed barber shop owner and a pillar in a multiplicity of communities. Within my first 30 days I made a honest mistake. Then was wrongly suspended because of it. The administration Ciearra specifically lied to my face. Her and a few other of her colleagues even went against the rule book that they so aggressively pushed on us as students. I tried to reach out and let them know where they were wrong and they ignored me time after time until I just realized that this wasn’t the school for me. Eventually I had to threaten to get my lawyer involved to finally get the attention I needed. I won’t go as far to say the school is all bad I’ve seen a lot of people prosper coming out of there, But what I will say is that they are very unprofessional and I feel like something fishy is going on behind the scenes there forsure!

Definitely will think twice before getting any hair dye service done here. Too many instructors chiming in with their opinions telling the student how to do it. Each one having slightly different ideas. And you know how it goes each time someone tells a story, something gets changed. Didn't turn out how we asked (and definitely not like the picture presented to them a dozen times) and they tried to blame it on the us and our communication. And to the student who waited until I stepped away to tell child she was spoiled, that was uncalled for. my child has a job and treats herself to these things
