Beware…. LifeStance will automatically charge your card on file. When you agree to the terms and conditions, they sneak in the middle of the agreement that they will charge you automatically. What they don’t mention is they will charge you without warning and also will NOT send you confirmation. I went days without knowing I was charged $285 for two therapy sessions even after I paid $135 three weeks prior. I easily could have overdrafted my account without knowing and ended up having to pay fees to my bank. They don’t send you a bill for what you’re being charged for. I am a SAHM so I rely on my husband’s income so this was a hard hit when I noticed my account was missing money without warning. If you think therapy sessions will be the same amount, you’re wrong. One session was $135, the next was $170, and the one after that was $115. This is all after insurance. If you want therapy and possible med management, expect to pay $500 a month even with insurance. After I am done being charged automatically, of course, I will not be returning to LifeStance.

I did not see a counselor. After waiting for more than 6 weeks for the earliest appointment with a counselor I was contacted a week ago by the counselor I was scheduled with saying she already had a previous commitment and had to cancel and reschedule. I was able to make an appointment elsewhere sooner. Unfortunately they are not Medicare approved and I am paying full price. I was on the phone with the person who originally scheduled me for life stance a long time as she looked for an appointment. There seems to be some type of communication problem between schedulers and therapists when it it comes to scheduling appointments. When a person takes the initiative to seek help it’s usually because they are struggling. Waiting the 6 weeks was tough but then to be told a week before that they were cancelling and I would have to reschedule because of their error was unconscionable. I also continued to get reminders and this review after the counselor cancelled. I will need to make sure my insurance wasn’t billed for a non existing appointment.

I have been calling this place for a week and have left 2 voicemails to call me back. I’ve waited on hold several times and finally gave up. No one answers the phone ever or calls you back.

When my therapist left their company, they expected me to throw away over a year of progress and get a new therapist with them who I didn't know. They threatened my therapist with a lawsuit for taking business away from them and demanded a list of patients who were seeing her after they left. They're so worried about their business that they make downright illegal demands on top of not caring about their patients' progress. Reading through the reviews, I see a lot of people where ghosted by their therapist. I'm wondering if their therapist left and couldn't tell their patients without fear of lawsuits (because their business is way more important than their patients health). I see why my therapist left this place and I hope this den of bullies and mob wannabes goes out of business.

Some of the receptionists are cool. A lot of the therapists are full of themselves and don’t pay attention to client concerns. The billing department is absolute garbage! They’re all incredibly careless and don’t have answers to any billing questions and the one guy is incredibly aggressive and rude to everyone who calls

I went here years ago specifically for IOP group therapy, made sure my insurance was accepted (medicaid) and was only able to participate for about a week before being removed from the group because they actually didn't accept my insurance. I was hospitalized a few weeks later due to a mental health crisis. Go figure. I'm only leaving a review now because i just recieved a bill from them. It's really discouraging to be set back by being removed from a program that was supposed to help me cope with past trauma and then have to remember it years later and now stress about owing money that I should be using to feed my family. Very helpful, thank you.

This office has a sign on their door banning guns, even conceal carry weapons. Don’t they understand that criminals IGNORE SIGNS and ‘SOFT TARGETS’ such as schools, churches, synagogues, theaters, counseling office is, etc.??? Unbelievable

I really like my therapist and the plan of action we came up with tomorrow. The patient portal is super easy too. I like that I can be in the comfort of my own home. There was a small waiting list but I'm glad I waited

Very nice place and great doctors and therapist who work with you. I would highly recommend. They are local and have virtual visits. Which is very nice if you're busy or don't feel like going anywhere. The really nice thing is you can go on their website and view each of their specialties and pick who you want to see.

I absolutely love my son's therapist. I am confident she's going to teach him life changing tools. I can't wait to attend my first session next week. I went with this place because it was the first of many I looked into that took my insurance. I think we ended up exactly where we were supposed to. Finding a provider and scheduling an appointment were super easy. The fact that they have several locations made it very convenient.

I have been going to LifeStance for years to meet with my therapist Ellen. She's a good listener and offers wise suggestions. When Covid struck, we went to virtual meetings and it has worked out well.

Its hard to say as it was only my first meeting, but the site is easy enough to use and my therapist was professional and kind and seemed eager to work at my pace.

It is difficult to get anyone on the phone when I call. I hold for at least 30 minutes and sometimes longer or give up. My provider is always 10-20 minutes late joining our session. Switched to a different company and provider and much happier with service.

Scheduled me, living on the East Side, for an appointment over here. I called and cancelled days before the appointment since they didn't choose a proper location for me. Received a bill to pay now. They used to be called PsychBC but had garnered such a bad reputation due to these sorts of practices. Super obvious to see that the scummy billing tactics are still being used even with the new branding.

Jennifer has been a life saver for our family! My son loves to come and see her. It was a long road to finding a great therapist that could communicate well with our son and we are forever grateful that we found her!!

Accessing mental health services is a challenge even in 2022. LifeStance has made it easier by making clinicians available online and in the office. I am so incredibly grateful for being able to establish a therapeutic relationship with a licensed therapist. Being able to have video visits makes it so much more convenient to fit sessions into my schedule. Tanya Morrow is an excellent clinician with a great listening ear. Her ability to make you feel seen and understood has been so refreshing. I am truly enjoying and benefiting from her clinical acumen. I am grateful she is helping me work on improving myself.

I really can’t recommend this place enough. During tough times like these it’s nice to have a professional opinion. I really appreciate having the opportunity to use this practice... Highly recommend.

I like that the appointment was online, however, the process for the first appointment was really annoying. I made my first appointment online and got a notification that more information was needed or my appointment would be canceled. What information? I had already got an email saying fill out forms on the LifeStance website. I went in and completed everything. It’s about 6 forms. Then my appointment was canceled by the therapist, at least I think it was her. So I rescheduled the appointment. I got another notification about needing more information. I go into the LifeStance account and everything I completed is GONE! I was so freaking annoyed to have redo every form. I was nervous I would get canceled so I called the provided number and everything is automated. No human and certainly not the therapist. You can only leave a voicemail. I left a voicemail to get confirmation back that she had everything. Never got an actual call, just automated notification via text and email that appointment is coming up. Today was the appointment. In the emails I received, it said the Therapist would send a link for the video session. Never got it. My appointment was at 12:30 and I waited a few minutes in case she was running late. Finally, I called the number I got in case I was having issues to leave another vm. In the meantime I had to search the LifeStance website to find the “Telehealth Waiting Room” and download the chat to start the session. In the meantime she starts text chatting on the website with me and I tell her I was supposed to get a link from her. She says yeah I was supposed to get a link and “no worries.” Kind of dismissive. Then after 20 mins I finally get on. She then goes through the same questionnaire I had already filled out by refilling it out! Was suuuuper frustrating! I felt like the first appointment was a waste of time. I’m hoping the second appointment will be better.😔

I love my therapist. She’s helped me get through and heal from some major trauma, and she did so without re-traumatizing me. I’ll be forever thankful for her and everything she’s done for me.

I have the absolute best individual that helped bring me back to the life I loved and then some. He listened to my issues and was able to correct the cause of my symptoms where others at major hospitals in this city had horribly failed to do. Actually making it worse for 2.5 years. I owe the facility and especially this individual everything.

Jennifer was absolutely amazing! Very kind and empathetic. I clicked with her instantly and I can’t wait to see her again! Her room was very clean and comfy. I truly felt that it was easy to talk about things.
