We love this place! Even though it’s name is Guitar Center it offers so much more for the music lovers than just guitars. The selection of equipment and instruments is excellent. They offer parts and services as part of awesome bundle. They have more guitars in different styles, finishes, and designs, than I have found in many places. If you are interested in the DJ world, for business or pleasure they have everything you could ever need. The percussion selection is huge and goes from hippie hand drums all the way to high end digital equipment. The employees are always friendly and helpful with any questions you have. Plenty of parking available and handicap accessible. Highly recommended for any music lovers that are looking for new or used equipment.

Great variety of instruments and accessories combined with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have never had a problem with service both online and in a store.

Apparently when you buy a $1500 guitar and it comes "new" needing a fret level, dress, and polish due to store climate being way too dry, they leave you hanging. Frets are sharp enough to chisel wood. After reaching out to find a happy medium solution that works for everyone, Billy chose to decline proper help. It's ok. I'll fix it myself. Lost yourself a solid 20+ year customer.

I will be heading to guitar centers today Then I will be ready to right my review. But for now I could honestly say how grateful I am to walk into Guitar Center and receive such a warm welcome from the wonderful people that work there. Kudos to you all and thank you for your patience, kindness and ŕespect. I have a wonderful experience every time I visit this store.

I walked in the store with thousands of dollars to buy a new acoustic guitar. I asked one of the employees if someone could help me pick one out. He literally says “Not right now man.” I said alright, when would be a good day to come back? He goes “We’re short staffed man.” Last time I go here. Wild. I never leave bad reviews, like ever. I run a small business and I don’t like when we earn an unfair review. But I think this one is fair. Hire better people.

Bought my guitar and practice amp from here. Not a first time player/buyer, but still didn't know what kind of guitar I wanted. Played about 20 guitars off the wall before deciding on one I am very happy with. Took home the one I played from the wall, which I believe is very important. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent buying experience.

Today was the first time I’d been to the store in a few years. I used to take my daughter there every Saturday for years but today was the last time I will set foot in there. Walked through the entire store, browsed around and even played a few instruments. After all that still not a single employee said a word to me. Didn’t even look my way actually. Spent a lot of money in there over the years building three studios. Terrible and unacceptable. Won’t ever, ever get another penny from me. F guitar center.

My daughter is taking guitar lessons here. So far, so good. I feel better with the public setting rather than going to a stranger's home. Her teacher is so positive and has a great attitude! And I get to browse the shop while she plays!

We went there initially on a fact-finding mission for a Christmas gift, as we knew virtually nothing about guitars. Everyone there was so helpful. More the case of helping us match the guitar to the user, not just selling us something. Everyone was so patient answering our dumb questions eventually leading us to decide to by a starter combo pack, instead of buying everything separately. Doing so we saved money and left there with a gift that was ready to be used and our knowing a lot more about guitars. Perhaps I could find what I bought there cheaper online, but I would NEVER known what to buy it out wasn't for their great customer service.

It's not that this store is the problem. While it ain't what it was and my recommendation wouldn't be near as strong that's not my complaint. Hardest economic times since tune great depression and guitar center feels it better to screw people by removing lay away. I swear every day I'm getting closer and closer to boy cotting gc as a whole. They're not for their customers anymore and have little loyalty and sadly that means the good ones like this site get dragged into it too. They're making it hard for me to continue supporting them when Sweetwater, zzounds and many others are doing a much better job in this business and burying gc. Its no wonder. It's been over a decade supporting gc and I might just be another one of its loyal customers to leave them behind in favor of their competitors. Heck at times even Amazon is doing a better job at being there for musicians these days and they're not even a instrument company. Bring back lay away. Or this could be the last of my business here ever. Given gc too many chances to make things better and they just keep destroying this company. Corporate was the worst thing that ever happened to this company.

Went today with my 14 year old, he needed new strings for his guitar. Guys who helped were awesome, but when one casually asked if we'd like him to put the new strings on nothing was said about a cost for that. I get that a "repair" shouldn't be free but it would have been nice to know up front that it cost $30, especially since it was clear this wasn't something me or my son had done or needed before.

Done with this place. First it looks like a teenage boys room with stuff strewn about everywhere. I called for a specific drum head before going up there. Person said they had four in stock. I looked for them for ten minutes and finally went to find someone to help. They told me the only one they had was ten dollars more than the one I called about. This is not the first time this has happened and I will just order from another source ahead of time in the future. The apologies from the company do nothing to help the consumer as they are all the same. “We are sorry to hear this and will look into it” go look at your stores. They are understaffed and poorly managed. I will be surprised if Guitar Center is in business in five years.

What an amazing experience. My girlfriend and I always go to our local Fairlawn location but wanted to take a scenic adventure to the N Olmsted store about an hour away. Store had an amazing selection. I've never seen any Darkglass amps for sale anywhere else and the staff was so helpful, clean store. Brandon B in audio was my favorite associate as he did so much for me. I wanted to dip my toes into synth / drums and didnt know where to start with all of the new devices and DAWs out there. He was able to answer all of my questions and gave me a ton of help with each MIDI controller features I was looking at. He even went as far to offer help to me by either calling or by email anytime. He also explained to me in layman's terms how producing is more about frequency manipulation rather than simple notes and/or rhythms. What a nice guy. We will certainly be back and will ask for him!!

Multiple times I have been in here to ask questions about cables and gear, and each time have been met with the same couldn’t care less rude attitude from the same guy. Definitely not coming back to this location.

I searched online and I found a used Gretsch 9200 Resonator guitar at the Guitar Center store in North Holmstead, Ohio. It looked like it was in very nice shape. It had a particularly pleasing grain pattern and color on the African Mohogany body and top. I ordered it and it showed up here in Seattle very quickly. I have to say this thing is great. I was looking for another resonator guitar, with a different sound than my Republic Highway 61 resonator. This Gretch does have a very different tone. Its loud and bright. Nice and barky. I'm mostly playing slide guitar on my resonators, and this Gretch sounds just fine. All I need to do is put on a heavier set of strings for the slide playing, and all will be perfect. And it came with a very nice Gator hard shell case. Everything looks brand new. Whoever owned this before me took really good care of it. Couldn't be happier.

By fat the best one I've been to, had many different types of guitars and basses had some brands like Fender, Gibson, Epiphone, squire, Martin, and Breedlove, overall great experience.

As someone who is not very experienced in the audio-interface world, they were able to help me understand what it was that I needed, and then what would be overkill and then gave me the opportunity to make the choice for myself, which I appreciated.

You know what if I were to buy a set of drums it would be hard because all the drums are set up for right handed drummers & I'm left handed Phil Collins would be upset I believe. P.S. how am I suppose to try them out?

Good service. good store. nice selection. good trip. I bought a A50E PRS guitar and included the warranty. I put it on my card and got 5%. I loved the charcoal sides and back and unique inlay.

Used to have equipment coming out the front door now they only need a store 1/4 the size what a shame I used to love going and playing with the PA equipment now they just have a few speakers and an amp.

came to this location looking for a common item. the employee who helped me (after watching me pace around by the counter waiting for help for an infinite amount of time) was no help at all. he proceeded to tell me in his smug tone that I "could order" the part as if I should have just done that without trying to find it in-store. It's one thing to be short staffed, which they were; but it's another to be ignorant and rude to someone who is there to spend money. I come here once every other month or so for various items but I will not be returning.

Purchased my guitar from here a few years back and was in more recently for my new keyboard! Brandon I believe was the name of the gentleman who assisted me along with a young lady. They really went above and beyond! Very helpful and on top of things. Just wish I didn’t drive away with the socks I purchased on top of my car. lol.

**UPDATE** Spoke with management and they sent me the tuner I originally wanted at no cost to me so i updated to a 4 star from a 1 star. Original Post: Spoke with a Guitar Tech about the specific things I wanted from my tuner. I was told that the Fender Rechargeable was the one for me and that I could put it in 432. Turns out he lied! So I drove the hour back home to find out tuner doesn't function as I explained I need it to. So now I have to find time to drive the HOUR back to replace it. Thanks for wasting my money guitar tech!!!!!

I've been a customer at this location for several years. I honestly cannot think of a negative experience yet. Everyone there is always helpful and if they can't be, they make recommendations. They still believe in great customer service!

Worked with Jake on a trade in deal And he was super helpful. I was trying to order a different item from the website and he went out of his way to help. Pretty much the whole staff there was friendly and tried to be helpful. Overall it was definitely a good experience.

I ordered online pickup and I understand it was the holidays and COVID but there was no communication from anyone about changed hours and being closed. Everyone was very nice, just wish the communication was better for customers.

I went in to checkout some high end guitars and compare them to a cheaper one I was looking to buy online. They didn't have the specific guitar I was looking for but one of the guitar experts there (who seemingly was a manager of sorts as a bunch of guys would keep coming up to him to ask him how to do things correctly) went out of his way to bring the guitar up on ebay that I was looking at it and spent a lot of time trying to investigate if it was a fake or not. We couldn't determine with 100% certainty but I was very appreciative of the time spent trying to help me out so even though I didn't buy a guitar from them today, I decided not to buy the other guitar either and if I ever have any musical needs I'll definitely come back to this store to make my purchase. Thanks a lot for your help!
