What everyone says about the stickers is true. Do not take your dog here. Our pup was walking so strangely and holding his feet up in the air. We had to carry him back to the car and pick all the burrs out of his toe pads. Once we got back to our hotel we had to use tweezers to get all the remaining splinters out. No wonder we were the only people there!!! Waggin Tails is not far away and much nicer.

Park is huge but the ground is covered in sand burrs. My poor dog started limping and trying not to put her feet down. I had to carry my 50 pound dog back out of the park. Spent 10 minutes pulling the burrs out of her feet. Would be an amazing park if it was either watered regularly or sprayed for the burrs. The burrs are so bad our shoes were covered as well. Really too bad to see such a nice looking park sitting there unused due to it being harmful to the dogs is was built for.

Very large, fully fenced dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs. Easy highway access for travelers. Not much shade, but well maintained and plenty of room to run. We read the reviews about the stickers, but the plant grows in large patches that were easy to avoid and we had no problem - and most of the park is mowed grass.

Very nice little dog run. Large enough to wear out a husky. A lot of stickers and goat heads inside that caught him off guard but otherwise very well kept.

It’s a good place to allow your dog to run around the leash for a while in the city but they don’t provide anything and as far is it any dog bags or anything like that at this park they do at Centennial Park but I not here by the softball field anyways that’s all I got pictures say the rest not very busy

Dangerous! Grass is filled with stickers it will take hours and bloodied fingers to remove from your dogs' feet!

Way too many stickers and Texas sandburs shouldn't have to trim a dog from stitchers and Texas sandburs after taking a dog to a dog park so he can run whoever this property belongs to needs to have some new grass planted to choke out the Texas sand burrs and stickers

At first glance, Happy Hound Dog Park makes you feel like you stepped back into a simpler time. Structures that can only be described as the forgotten offspring of a 1982 carnival carousel and a chicken coop dot the landscape of this large, two section park. Mixed in with these peculiar structures are "agility obstacles" that previously served other functions such as "wire spools" and "railroad ties." While not directly off the interstate, the route to the park is simple and can be truly described as "Pure Nebraska." Strictly speaking, this eclectic experience is hands down the best dog park between Denver, CO and Kearney, NE.

They dont maintain it and keep it sticker free and comfortable for the animals. People dont follow the rules. The picnic tables are cool but that's it.

My Luna girl had even more fun with all The snow. This is a big park with lots of room for The dogs to run.

Lots of space for the dogs to run, and had tubes with bags for picking up after your dogs

We were so excited. Really huge and wide open. Had the whole place to ourselves! C’mon North Platte, be better. How about some weed killer and fence repair? The stickers and numerous holes in the fence aren’t conducive to “Happy Hounds”.
