I have been a customer for 20 years, and always found Matt and Jason to be 100% honest and dependable. They NEVER have done any work on our cars that wasn't necessary. Every new car we have purchased has been serviced by Friend-Lee as soon as the warranty expired. I have referred several people to Friend-Lee and they are also loyal customers.

I have lost track of the number of times I have been to Friend Lee Automotive. I go back because the experience is worry free. No worries about whether my car needs the recommended service, no worries about the price, and no worries about the quality of the workmanship. A father and son shop who succeed because they are good at what they do and honest as the day is long.

Matt the owner went above and beyond explaining to me as they worked. 5-25-2018 Just an update, I have now been going to Friend Lee Auto for over 4 years and I am as pleased today as I was when I started going there. I am on my 3rd vehicle and I appreciate how well Matt takes care of my cars and me.

Very pleased with Friend Lee Auto. My first impression was pleasant, but after a few visits there, I’ve learned that the owner, Matt, truly cares and is a person of integrity. That goes a long way with me. Would definitely recommend.

I've only had them look at my (19 year old) car for a leaking brake line & some front end clunking. I've an appointment to fix the brakes and, as the front end issue is more costly (than replacing the brake caliper) - and isn't a safety issue - Jason understood my need to do repairs separately. Friend Lee (Reneé & Jason) were recommended by a BFF who lives in North Royalton. I'm an east sider, but willing to travel for quality repairs & fair pricing. I hope to upgrade to 5 Stars after actually experiencing Jason's handiwork! 1/31/23 Rear brake calipers replaced. Break pedal may need adjusting but glad the leaking's fixed. Yes, rating went up to 5 Stars! 3/14/23 Front end work accomplished, thanks Jason for everything! 7/7/23 as Jim or Jayson noted, prior, (& confirmed my suspicion) there's a slight exhaust leak. I called/asked Reneé if they fabricate exhaust system parts & she confirmed. But I never received that estimate. 7/28/23 A/C not working - at this appt Jim replaced both the condenser and compressor (another, nearby garage, gave me a similar estimate but I opted to go out of my way to stick with Friend Lee). 7/31/23 - sadly there's "chirping" going on since the A/C work, took it back (left it for the day) & Jim's feedback was a need to replace the "Harmonic Balancer" - another $1000+ expense! Told not to drive it (unless necessary), I had to delay that repair based on my credit card debt. 10/11/23 Jim replaced the Harmonic Balancer, but - again - when I got home there was more "chirping" & I was disappointed to have to return again! I waited until 10/16 to GO BACK to the garage as I wanted to discuss these immediate problems after repairs - and a reminder I travel about 25 miles each way to have them do my services. Unfortunately, neither Jayson nor Reneé were there. Jim looked at it, said it might be the fan belt or a pulley & scheduled my return for that Friday. 10/20/23 I arrived a little early for my 8:30 appt - I was out of there before 9am. Jim replaced the fan belt - a courtesy credit (no charge). Thanks! Hoping to receive that exhaust leak estimate soon. As a result of these after-repairs returns, I've downgraded their Stars to 4.

Family owned business. They work harder hard for me on my break repair. I am an long time customer and they do a good job and are reasonable in price. Monday thru Friday usually open till 6pm. Check them out in North Royalton on 82. Thank you again for your hard work.

DO NOT go to this place, we we're specifically told a price on a tow $80 and specifically told that no work would be started without and phone call and a go ahead. They did the opposite and are trying to charge $130+ for the tow (about 5 miles away) and apparently took the injectors off and tested the fuel, without any phone call saying this is what we think and what we'd like to do. When questioned how did you even know to do that, because I guess they don't use a computer to check for error codes, Jason was unable and refused to answer the question. To get my vehicle back he wanted no less than $270+ (not including the $90 tow back). We only received a call after this was done saying $600+ to do the job. We declined, the price is steep considering the problem and alternatives that are much cheaper to fix it and still be fixed the right way. I normally take my vehicles elsewhere, but unfortunately my regular mechanic is swamped at the moment so we wanted to give this local small business a try. NEVER again, Jason took advantage , period. My normal mechanic thought, in his professional opinion (30+ years having a shop) the tow was steep (they obviously upcharge the tow) and Jasons diagnostic was steep as well, not to mention the unprofessionalism of no phone call to this being done as was suppose to happen as was conveyed prior. I'd also like to mention, I disagreed and refused paying that amount and Jason said you can either come up with a credit card or the title to the vehicle.. As I was writing this I found out that my fiancee called Jason and he charged her $200 + 90$ for the tow back.. With literally no work being done aside from a diagnostic, gas being tested and for some reason he pulled the injectors which I found out wasn't even necessary given the context, again all without a phone call explaining this is what we think and what we'd like to do and us giving a go ahead. Its mechanics like this that take advantage of people and then try to hold THEIR vehicle hostage if the owner doesnt agree with the bs number thrown out. I'm in trade work, so I get people need to get paid for their work, and they should make what they deserve, but not following through with what was originally said and agreed on is a joke, extremely unprofessional, and a scam. They will not get business from me ever again and Jason can literally GFY.

Needed to check diagnostics on check engine light and the fluids needed to be checked/safety inspection done. The repairs that might need to be done in the future were explained to me along with the pricing I could expect, which was extremely helpful. The invoice had these itemized. I appreciated how Jason got back to me right away like he said he would.

I tried to find a mechanic to repair coolant leak, no one seemed to want to do it because you have to take half the car apart to fix it. Jay said he would do it. Gave me a great price and did an excellent job. No more leaks and car runs like new.Would definitely take my car there again if it needs repairs

These guys are very friendly and took good care of me and my truck. Very knowledgable, trustworthy and honest people. Ontop of that, they took care of e-check for my vehicle and worked with me on a solution to my problems that didn't break my bank. Quite the opposite, actually

I originally drove out to North Royalton to get my oil changed at another shop. Once I arrived there I learned that they had went out of business. Frustrated, I called Friend Lee's and told Matt, the owner, that I had driven almost 40 minutes to get an oil change and that the place was closed down. He told me not to worry and that he could get me in right away and take care of my oil change. He was amazingly nice and very welcoming. He explained everything to me.. including the parts they use and even the brand of oil. Even though it takes awhile to get here, I may just have to continue to make the trip!!!

Been there a few times. Always get an oil change and checkup there. Very nice people. Affordable. Great service!

These people gave me a price for a very simple fix of 500-600 dollars and a 2-4 week waite stating it would take that long to get the part. I called Autozone because nothing made sense of what he said. They had the part by the end of the day. I then had my car towed to another shop down the street. 4 hours later, 120.00 dollars later I had my car.
