Great placeto visit, only a fiver to get in. There's loads of planes, a few helicopters. Some of them you can go on and there was a few that had volunteers who you could talk to and ask questions. Also you can watch the planes take off and leave at the East Midlands Airport. They've got a great mound that you can stand on to see over the fence at the runway. Also has a cafe and toilets, will definitely be going there again.

Absolutely brilliant little museum with great staff (all volunteers) and selection of aircraft. We visited on a recent extended opening afternoon so only the Nimrod was accessible but didn’t bother the family at all. Just being able to climb aboard that beauty and sit in the cockpit is well worth the £5 admission. Parking is free as well so no pressure to go in if you want to watch the aircraft go in and out EMA, but why you’d miss the opportunity to venture in the Aeropark is beyond me. The little mounds are perfectly situated with picnic benches to watch the day drift past in pleasant surroundings and the open space. Can’t believe I’d never been here before. Looking forward to returning. Also worth noting there’s a cafe, shop and restroom on site. Hats off to all the staff on site.

Awesome place. Never heard of it before despite working up near EMA. Amazing selection of planes to view, awe inspiring seeing cold war bombing planes up close. I went on a day where they had certain planes opened up for tours into the cockpit and cargo bay and was open late to see the planes lit up by lights on the ground. Also nice to see planes taking off and landing from EMA on the viewing areas. Definitely worth the entry fee.

What a great place to visit!!! Fantastic aircrafts with great history behind them ( you can go into few!) , lovely people volunteering there who will tell you many interesting things about the planes... I really, really loved the place, despite I'm not a fan of that kind of stuff really... 😀😀😀 bonus: you can see many planes landing and taking off East Midlands Airport.

A nice place to visit to see some old planes and helicopters. Just £16 for a family of 4. The cafe only had ice creams, snacks and Pot Noodles, no prepared food like sandwiches, which is fine, but good to know before you visit. The car park isn't large enough, we were lucky to get the last space. You can go inside one plane and helicopter, which is nice to do - and educational. It overlooks the runway of East Midland Airport, so you can watch large and small planes take off. Overall, it's nice to visit, but it's quite small and mostly outdoors. There are better air museums around.

Good collection of aircraft. None were open on the day but I think they often are. Located on edge of airport and has a couple of viewing spots. Free parking with small on site cafe available.

Lovely place, only £5 to get in and can easily spend the afternoon here. Lots to see. Nice little cafe. A cockpit you can look in,and a decent enough view of the planes taking off .I only marked it down a star as there are not nearly enough benches on the viewing mounds.

What an absolute gem! Located just outside East Midlands Airport, this museum has it all. There are lots of historical aircraft including a Nimrod, Vulcan and Lightning. There’s also a great set of viewing mounds to watch the planes land and takeoff from East Midlands Airport. There’s a small cafe, toilets and a shop. All the volunteers are a credit to the organisation. Friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed talking to John about his time at Rolls Royce. There was also another very interesting chap in Nimrod - I didn’t catch his name. Great place to visit if you love aviation both old and new. I will be back!

Only cost £16 for two adults and two children. Brought our own packed lunch with us and watched the planes take off from East Midlands Airport. Very interesting and educational. Would recommend.

Loved walking round the area showcasing different eras of aircraft’s. It’s a relatively small place, but it’s part of our history. Plenty of pictures to be taken and we were able to walk around the RAF plane and sit in the cockpit. The weather wasn’t the greatest as it did rain, but that didn’t stop a good day out! A bonus of being able to sit outside and watch the arrivals and departures at East Midlands Airport! 5/5

Great Value for money (£5 Entrance fee), with some great exhibits. Great atmosphere whilst walking around with pleasant knowledgeable staff. Great views over East Midlands Airport, and I was lucky enough to see a Boeing 747 depart the airport whilst visiting.

A wonderful place to spent as a picnic, as a place to know history, a place to have knowledge about panes and engines. My 3 year old really loved the pace and the experience he had. The surprising experience is watching the planes go by at East Midlands Airport. The place has free parking but is limited. The whole place is accessible.

Great place to see some historical aeroplanes. View of the live runway is also a fantastic experience. Only slight issue when we visited (which was a Bank Holiday Monday) was that the carpark was hugely overcrowded and far too small with no marked spaces so lots of gappy parking. Once inside though it was very spacious and only busy on the viewing hills. We'll definitely visit again.

Loved all the planes and the ones you could go in, never got old, the flight simulator in the container building was amazing. Five stars. (Sorry the video is sideways)

Great little hidden gem. £5 adults £3 kids. Little ones free. the staff (which I believe are volunteers are friendly and happy to tell you more about the planes. Great to watch planes coming into land

Quite a number of exhibits including a Vulcan: worth exploring the hanger to see the Concord engine. Great to be able to watch aircraft take off and land from the viewing mounds. (hint: bring a picnic!)

Its a good place to take the kids and have a look around the museum and also watch the plane coming and going, it could do with being opposite the middle of the runway not at one end, your view is limited when the planes are landing from the east end of the runway. But I suppose it better than no viewing area

Easy travel links to the museum from Long Eaton, if travelling by public transport. £5 admission is well worth it. The shop could do with more stock and promoting itself. Other than that, we'll worth the visit.

What an amazing experience. It was a well thought out display of aeroplanes and exhibits that kept me engaged and interested for the whole visit. The volunteer staff were knowledgeable and friendly and no question was too much trouble for them. The tactile exhibits where you could sit in the planes to experience hands on viewing was exceptional. All this for an affordable entrance made it a very pleasant experience. The cafe in the museum section under cover was a great idea for an occasional shower coming over. They served hot and cold drinks and snacks at nominal prices that would make it not out of reach for a family on a budget. There are lessons to be learned for other exhibitions. Instead of charging a higher price as you think you can"get away with", have a structure that those of modest means can afford and increase the foot fall and impress those who can afford, to donate a little extra to make the experience one that does not exclude less well off. To the staff and volunteers who made this a really enjoyable experience. Well done I've already spread the word to my friends and will certainly return. 👍
