Horrible customer experience at this Costco located on Billy Bishop. From discrimination to youths by the sample folks. the unempathetic cashiers and incompetent food cafeteria staff. Most folks turned a blind eyes to these big box stores. Will not be visiting this location again.

As a regular shopper at the Costco on Billy Bishop in Toronto, I feel compelled to share my consistently positive experiences at this location. Despite the challenge of parking, which is a common theme across most Costco stores, especially during peak hours, I’ve found that with a little willingness to park near Home Depot, securing a spot is generally not a problem. A short walk is a small price to pay for the convenience that follows. The store itself is commendably well laid out and maintains a high standard of cleanliness, creating a welcoming shopping environment. It reliably stocks all the regular staples I look for, making each trip efficient and successful. Additionally, the staff here are approachable and friendly, contributing to the overall pleasant experience. The Costco on Billy Bishop in Toronto stands out for its cleanliness, layout, and helpful staff, making it my go-to location for regular shopping. It’s great to have such a reliable store within reach.

Kirkland food products are the worst. See the photo of 2 “so called” honey I got from them. Both are purchased same time and not expired yet. U will see what I mean.

Requires annual membership. Love Costco. Super popular location. No gas station here. Best feature: they make returns super easy and over accommodate in the customer’s favour. Everything you need and more. Easy access from Wilson. Lots of parking but, can be challenging to find a spot up close usually. Super busy location. Found that the best time to shop is 10:00 am or 30 minutes before closing time for a more relaxed time with less shoppers. Good variety of popular items. Tire centre, Pharmacy, Hearing centre, Eye centre (also popular branded sunglasses). Electronics section ( includes printers and supplies) including Apple products, Mobility phone booth with Bell, Rogers and Telus competitive packages and latest variety of competitor phones. Large array of smart TV’s up to and including, LG, Sony, Samsung, Hisense and TLC. Security camera section, clothing for all family members, some shoes. So much more like Organic food options, popular hot deli at low prices and hot food like whole roasted chicken. Ample bread, fresh fruits and vegetables. Large cheese and meat section and household items including some home and office furniture plus automotive needs. Food sampling stands throughout warehouse for customers. It’s ALL here.

This is one of the good Costco in GTA. Customer service is good. The fruit section is good the dairy products are perfect and their price are perfect. Their food court staff are really fast and helpful. They have lots of parking space. I recommend this store

Still a good place to do your groceries and get gas(cheapest in town). Prices are still reasonable, just watch out for promotions or discounts. Parking is not a problem just make sure you park properly to avoid any issues. The only downside is the number of people and line ups at gas stations especially during peak hours or weekend. I suggest plan ahead and review for traffic before going here.

We are regular costco shoppers. We visit costco stores at least once a week but the staff's behaviour was unbelievable at the return counter. I asked Lezeth if she can price match an item for me, while she was laughing and talking with her friends there shouted no! You have to complete a return and then price match another item! This could be communicated in a much nicer way!

People are disrespectful to others and pick and choose best fruit for themselves and leave back the rest, Coscto in general doesn’t seem to care although they could have easily protect the fruit with a mesh or tape over boxes. Already told the management today!

What I encountered at the Costco Optical Centre tonight has left me deeply disappointed and upset. At approximately 6:30 pm, I visited the Costco Optical Centre to collect my prescribed glasses. Upon arriving at the counter, I politely greeted the only lady present and handed over my invoice. To my surprise, her response was quite unusual, as she seemed to struggle to understand my pronunciation when I said, "Good evening! I would like to take my glasses." Her immediate reaction was to correct my pronunciation, stating, " -lasses? you mean glasses?" I responded with, "No, I said 'glasses'." Despite my efforts to clarify, she continued to insist, " -lasses? glasses?" in a rather confrontational manner, eventually taking my glasses from me. This exchange left me feeling embarrassed and self-conscious. As an Asian individual, I am aware that I may have an accent when speaking, but I believe I pronounced "glasses" quite clearly. I became increasingly frustrated as she persisted in questioning my pronunciation, and I began to wonder if this was intended as an insult. The situation escalated further when she commented, "Your sunglasses are too big for you," and mentioned that the glasses I had chosen did not have nose pads, suggesting that my nose might not be able to support them. I found these remarks to be unwarranted and uncomfortable. I had already completed the payment for the glasses and simply wanted to collect them and return home. It was disheartening to be subjected to judgment and unsolicited comments about my choices. This incident has left me feeling both angry and upset. I have always enjoyed shopping at Costco and have never encountered such a situation before, especially in a diverse and inclusive country like Canada. I hope that this review brings attention to the need for better training and cultural sensitivity among staff members, ensuring that every customer is treated with respect and dignity.

Organized grocery, pantry, office, restaurant supplies in a huge warehouse space bustling with customers. On any given day, you can take advantage of weekly specials and samples. The meat and seafood section as well as fresh produce offers sizes that caters to large families. The website features home order delivery and Instacart app is available for same day home delivery. Your Costco membership allows you to save on member only offers.

Purchased an Apple Watch Series 3 in this Costco store in December 2020. 2.5 years later after purchase, the adhesive of the display unglued on its own due to a manufacturing defect. This Apple Watch has never been inside water/shower. It unglued while I was walking, in the middle of street. I approached the store manager of customer service and they have refused to replace this product or offer store credit. I’m very disappointed in the quality of this Apple product or how Costco handled this malfunction. This watch has functioned 5 years less than its expected lifetime.

Great location. Like other location it is also busy. Service is ok. Price are cheaper but of course you spend more. :-) A bit of line up from entrance to check out to food court. Lots of parking. It has different shops in the plaza. This is also close to Yorkdale and right at 401 exit.

My Review would have been 5 Stars but I wanted to contact the Manager at the Costco on Billy Bishop Way in Toronto & there is no way to do so. On that account I was very disappointed. A company that cares about its patrons should be available with a live body with whom to interact. That’s the sum total of my complaint which is directed at management & Costco senior administration. Now on to my complement of the individual with whom I interacted in the store and who performed not just admirably but spectacularly. Yvonne was her name and amazing congenial attentive customer service is her game. I was in the store yesterday with a long list of supplies; the vast majority of which I found with no difficulty as the store is well stocked & items were in their usual place in the aisles in which they are usually found. This was no surprise. However 4 of my items on my list were missing. That is to say I could not find them in their usual spots. I concluded ‘supply chain issues’ and was about to leave when I came upon Yvonne working diligently in an aisle in which I had no interest. I took a chance and engaged with her as to the possibility I had just missed the items as they may have been moved ( as they occasionally are) to end aisle end display that I somehow overlooked. She immediately jumped into action and informed me of the exact aisles in which I should be looking ( she knew them all by aisle number & side) and when I said I had been in those aisles to no avail she took it upon herself to very quickly peruse the store & then returned to me to tell me one item was moved & the other 3 were currently not available but would be again in the next number of days/weeks. She showed me where the one item that was in stock was situated (not it’s usual spot not on an aisle end display)& I had in fact bought something displayed right beside it & had not noticed the change. We had a good laugh at that and a pleasant chat as well. I told she was my Costco hero & I went on my way and she returned to her other duties. It was very pleasant indeed to interact with such a conscientious Costco team member. So notwithstanding that I could not laud her actions directly with store management I think she deserves high praise for her commitment to customer service. She made my day.

Helpful staff, though they couldn't solve a membership issue. Incredibly busy - don't go on a weekend if you can help it. Also, I'm pretty sure they pump the smell of the croissants baking across the entire parking lot. I've never seen anyone check out without at least one container.

Cashiers are very quick and there are lots of them. Fast food staff sometimes come across as rude when they ask for order numbers. Might need more training. Pharmacists are very good and helpfully. Door staff are friendly and pleasant.

Costco location is " Extremely" busy, every isle was packed. This location has helpful friendly staff. I really appreciated the full sanitization of cash self checkout prior to checkout. Thank you to all employees doing such amazing work keeping the public safe.

When it comes to Costco, I can't say it's not good🙂, but in regards to this branch, the restroom always seems to need cleaning, much like many other public places I've visited. The food samples are the fun part that encourages people to buy more, but it seems like the staff is hesitant to give out more samples, which makes me feel like they might be receiving instructions from the managers. It might be better to either offer these promotional gifts more generously or consider other approaches.

DISGUSTING Washrooms. Doesn’t matter what time of day/week, they are not up to even the lowest standards. For a company that charges a membership just to shop here; the washrooms MUST be pristine. Hire someone to clean them every 30 minutes. The stores are INCREDIBLY CROWDED meaning lots of ppl are using the washrooms at all times. Also the customer service at checkouts is a joke. They don’t let you use your own debit card to make multiple transactions. They are way to strict making things more difficult than they need to be. We are still purchasing and buying from here. ALLOW US TO MAKE MULTIPLE TRANSACTIONS. We have our personal reason for wanting to do this. They both were very rude, and had the very least of the customer service manners. Very disappointed with the service today. According to them every person of the same household should have a membership card. Now i am guessing even the kids should have their own membership card if they want to buy anything for themselves from CostCo. At the self checkout they are like HAWKS making sure you make one transaction. If only this much attention was given to the unsanitary washrooms!!!!!

I was just out the door for a while and had to share with everyone my frustration. I went in to buy chicken. When I paid, the staff told me I needed a membership card to buy it. I went out and asked the staff at the door and they said I could buy it without a membership card. I went back in and bought it, spending nearly an hour buying meat. Then the cashier also said I couldn't pay without my membership card. Not coming back a second time. Unprofessional work

The worth branch of Costco. Every time costumers should stay in long line up. They have a lots of cash lines but only 2, or 3 of them work! I guess they enjoy when they see long line up! Staff in products lines are not interested to answer questions or if some item be out of stock they don’t make items available anymore. 2 star is just for cashier staff who are nice and friendly, otherwise zero star is befitting for this location.

I had the absolute best experience at the tire centre yesterday and want to highlight the exceptional service I received from an employee named Sarah. I had the misfortune of discovering a flat tire on my car just shy of 6pm - when every other tire shop in the GTA is closed for the night - and I had no time to waste because I had to travel to two back to back weddings this weekend. Either I needed a repair or a rental, and of course, rental websites were all booked up. I put my spare tire on and found that Costco’s tire centre was still open. I approached in a bit of a panic as Sarah greeted me at the garage doors. She said that she was finished work in five minutes and mentioned that the next available appointment was Saturday - but she asked if she could see my flat tire to identify the problem instead of turning me away. Sarah identified the problem was actually a broken valve - and repaired it for me in minutes without hesitating. She mentioned that it was a quick and easy fix and refused my offer of a cash tip (in compliance with company policy of course.) Sarah saved me hundreds of dollars in tow/tires/rental fees just by being kind, compassionate, and astute. It is my hope that Sarah’s employers will recognize and celebrate her for this. I’m confident anyone else would have told me I was simply out of luck. I cannot recommend this tire centre more (and Sarah specifically) to anyone who is seeking tire centre services performed by good, honest professionals. Thank you, Sarah!

The items in Costco are reasonably prices and come in bulk. The food in the food court are very tasty and cheap. I recommend the hot dog for 1.50!

Great prices, if you're willing to buy a bunch of anything you wish to buy, except for electronics. The price difference is generous for most items, but you have to have either a very big family or a big house. And it's not like you're in Toronto anymore; people are not kind, they're in a hurry. They might push you away and you get shouldered several times. And don't forget the hotdogs. So delicious!

We bought roast chicken here on Jan 26th. We started eating the roast chicken and when we got closer closer to the bones, we realized that the chicken was not cooked properly. We got sick the next day. This is just to let everyone know to make sure to check the chicken before consuming to make sure it's fully cooked. This one that we got doesn't look like it is. It looks fine from the outside, but once you get to the inside, this is what it looked like.im not sure what their cooking process is for the roast chicken. We buy it all the time because its really conveniet and nothing seemed to be the problem in the past. But this one, was definitely not cooked all the way

This place is better than the ones in Etobicoke.. less crowd, parking is not like a zoo.. accessible to other stores around as well.. but the rotisserie is not that great. It's like half-cook! It is cheap ($7) but it's small..hope they cook the chicken properly.. it shouldn't be bloody or pinky!

First and foremost, the floors and aisles were immaculate. Despite the constant foot traffic and the sheer size of the store, there wasn't a speck of dirt or debris in sight. The floors were regularly swept and polished, creating a welcoming and hygienic atmosphere. The shelves were also neat and tidy, with products arranged in a visually appealing manner. It was easy to navigate through the aisles, thanks to the clear signage and logical layout of the store. What impressed me even more was the attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness throughout the warehouse. The restrooms were impeccably clean and well-stocked with supplies. I was particularly impressed by the fact that there were staff members regularly monitoring and tidying up the restrooms to ensure a pleasant experience for customers. Another aspect that stood out was the organization of merchandise. Each section had clear signage indicating the categories of products available, making it convenient to locate items. The shelves were well-stocked, and the products were neatly arranged, making it easy to find what I needed. The checkout area was also efficiently managed, with multiple open lanes and staff members ready to assist customers. Furthermore, the adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols was commendable. Hand sanitizer stations were conveniently placed throughout the store, and I noticed that staff members were consistently wearing masks and practicing social distancing. These measures added an extra layer of reassurance and made me feel safe during my shopping experience. Lastly, I would like to highlight the dedication and professionalism of the Costco staff. They were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any inquiries. Their knowledge of the products and willingness to go the extra mile for customers greatly enhanced my shopping experience.

This is about their rotissarie chicken. I bot two for the holidays on the advice of my friend who is an amazing cook. I cut them up to heat them and they were pink to red inside and very salty and could taste the hint of so-called chemicals. I ALWAYS cook my own chickens that I get from a farm so I know good quality. These chickens are disgusting but people line up for them. No wonder people are sicker than they have ever been, no one knows decent homemade food any more. I ended up serving this to my children and grandchildren and they ate some but I threw out the rest of it 2 days later. So much for listening to other people.

Always find what I am looking for. Help people are always courteous and professional. Incredibly short waits at checkout, even when there are usually long lines. Great policies regarding service to customers. Well worth the value of the membership.

Costco is usually good. You need to know the prices of things because, yes, some things are a good deal but some aren't. I always have a hot dog at the end of my trip but there is something to be said for have one before shopping so as not shop hungry and make impulsive purchases based on hunger.

Perfect place to go shopping especially when you're having a big outing like a barbecue or family gathering I've never gotten a bad piece of meat or fish from them you do have to buy a bulk of course we all know that but in the end you do save money so. So if you do not have a Costco membership you may consider or want to consider purchasing one.

  • 1/5 Carlos M. 6 months ago on Google
Everyone’s experience are different, to me it was the worst of all, the guy in at the membership counter was so pushy to make me buy the executive and credit card membership, workers inside are careless, one was in video call. Went for my reimbursement, told me, give it 4-7 business days, I had to call customer service, they talked to a manager and after 1 hour over there I was able to get my full reimbursement. Beef, chicken, fish and pork, has a good price, but expires very quickly, same with the bread. Always busy, and very far. Not coming back, never.

Always crowded. You need to go with patience and mindfulness to navigate the throngs of people. A lot of staff are helpful and friendly. I haven’t dared go into the bathrooms based on other reviews. Not everything here is cheaper than shopping at regular stores, so do your comparisons!
