Great location. Karaoke Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Excellent DJ (no attitude) on Saturday night. Web based sign up (fair). Really great crowd, however more formal than other places as everyone is seated. However, very supportive crowd with really talented singers. I will definitely go again. Also, the building is historic complete with plaque that reads: SOMERSET HOUSE 1873 HOME OF J. W. L. FORSTER, PAINTER 1916 - 1938 DESIGNATED UNDER THE ONTARIO HERITAGE ACT

This is a very average pub restaurant offering your typical drinks and pub food at fairly good prices. We were a group of 8 and the waitress was quick and efficient, especially considering that it was busier than usual given the huge crowds in the area for Pride weekend. That being said, it's hard to get pub food wrong. My main issue with this restaurant is that the owner appears too cheap to want to renovate or maintain it. See the pictures attached; it's falling apart and is so outdated - not in a vintage or rustic kind of way. Anyhow it's an OK option if other bars in the area are busy, as was the case for us. But do NOT go out of your way to go here. I would only go here if all other options are closed in the area.

We sat on the patio it was nice Server was prompt and we gave our order waited for wine a good 15 mins and my son went in to retrieve it our server was really busy was actually the bartender 3 staff for whole place two staff were busy hostess was not helping at all. Food came out beef dip with au juice and fries and a buffalo chicken sand a little bland the fries were so hot they burned the inside of my mouth. No server came to check on us asked busser for check. I realize everywhere is understaffed but this was really not a great experience. Food ok experience

The food was amazing and the menu has such great variety. Accidentally got chicken tacos instead of fish tacos at first so check your meal when you get it! There was only one waiter and many tables were occupied so it wasn’t their fault for the mix up. Adding more servers would be beneficial to both business and for the customers.

Service: 3.5/5 - bartender was friendly.. but nothing special, didn’t talk about the food or drinks or ‘up-sell’ anything, no personality! - other servers were talking out loud about wanting to go home.. keep that ish’ where paying customers can hear! Food: 1/5 - potato skins were just trash and 6 tiny little potato half’s, good thing for cheese and bacon otherwise it would be 0/5.. and for the price NOT worth it! Wings: 2/5 - Tasted decent and crispy but for some tiny little wings (the celery and carrots were waaay bigger, not worth the price at all! Alcohol 2/5 - 3 speed ( I know it is light) but tasted like water to be honest) - margarita - wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great either

I had the best time of my life here tonight on this beautiful Saturday. The Karaoke host Elyse Douglas was and is the best host ever. Beautiful inside and out. And she sings awesome too.

The cocktail was good…BUT, never been to a place where they charge extra for sauce. The server didn’t bother to inform about it. $2 aint a big deal but what’s up w this hidden charge if I didn’t bother to check the receipt. Poor service & dead environment on a Saturday night.

Food was fine, but they wanted to charge me extra for mayo for my cheeseburger. I politely declined. Service forgot about us, everything was slightly sticky and while we were there for karaoke, it hadn't materialized by the time we decided to leave. There wasn't a lot to keep us there any longer. Weird place! Probably won't be back despite the ok food. Lots of places around with good-to-great food and less stickiness.

Food was good but pretty much every draft tap was brand new and so the beer was warm and had no carbonation. We went through 4 tries before getting a decent one.

Karaoke lady was so nice and great fun. Buffalo chicken was not good, barely any chicken - mostly just batter and sickly sauce and our waitress was pressuring us to drink more even when we said we were good - one of us said we’re good and she said something along the lines of ‘come on everyone else is getting another’ so she got another drink she didn’t want and another said she was still working on her drink and didn’t need another but the waitress brought her another anyway. did not appreciate that at all. only giving stars for the Karaoke lady

I go there occasionally, for a small beer after work, and running chores. The servers are quite nice ( no problem there) So I went today, and I went with my service dog, we sit outside. It's usually empty. The dog is very well behaved. I went to use the restroom, and when I returned, an Indian man approached me (the owner I believe) asking for my dogs I.D. In a very rude manner, saying we are not allowed ''indoors'' (empty a well). Not appropriate, considering that he's seen me there before. Also, if anyone reads this, do NOT eat there, ( trust me, I'll spare the details ) The area is also quite ''sketchy''. They just literally lost a customer, due to ignorance and disrespect.

Please do not eat here. Everything is dirty. The menus were covered in sticky stuff. The waitress got my order wrong, so I had to eat separate from my partner. I ordered Buffalo chicken poutine.. They used dark meat chicken and it was extremely fatty. I could not eat the chicken. They wanted to charge for extra sauce. And when I mean extra sauce, I mean a quick dollop. The new ownership has let this place go. Sadly.

Fox and Fiddle at Wellesley offers a lively and welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The diverse menu caters to various tastes, with pub classics and inventive dishes. The staff is friendly, creating a comfortable dining experience. The establishment often hosts live music events, enhancing the vibrant ambiance. While the interior has a cozy pub feel, the outdoor seating is a great option during pleasant weather. The drink selection is extensive, featuring both traditional and creative cocktails. Keep in mind that peak hours can get busy, but the overall vibe and quality of service make Fox and Fiddle a solid choice for a casual and enjoyable outing. And Karaoke nights are amazing not. Not miss.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Fox & Fiddle at Yonge & Wellesley has become my go-to home pub, a convenient spot for grabbing a delicious bite or a refreshing drink. I can confidently say that I've never heard a negative word about the food here; instead, patrons consistently rave about both the quality & generous portions. As someone with allergies, I appreciate the transparency about limitations on the menu. If you, too, have food allergies, I recommend double-checking ahead of time &/or with the staff to ensure a safe & enjoyable dining experience. This pub is a haven for sports enthusiasts, boasting multiple TVs in both the dining room & the bar area. I've personally enjoyed watching Toronto Maple Leaf games here, soaking in the lively atmosphere. With three levels, including the second & third reserved for private events, the Fox & Fiddle is a versatile venue. Don't hesitate to inquire about hosting your events— they cater to various occasions. I've had the pleasure of partnering with the Fox & Fiddle to host "Drag Queens Against Humanities," a unique blend of Cards Against Humanity and a fabulous drag show. The venue's dining room, complete with a small stage, provided the perfect setting for this entertaining event. Additionally, their popular karaoke nights add an extra layer of fun to the already vibrant atmosphere. The staff at Fox & Fiddle are a friendly bunch, making patrons feel genuinely welcomed. While some may be more attentive than others, the overall hospitality adds to the positive experience. Special commendation goes to the fabulous owners, who are not only kind & caring but also contribute to the warm & inclusive vibe of the establishment. In conclusion, whether you're seeking a spot for sports, events, or just a cozy place to unwind, Fox & Fiddle at Yonge & Wellesley is a top-notch choice. The fantastic food, diverse entertainment options, & welcoming atmosphere make it a standout in the area.

Went with a group of 20+ on a Thursday! Loved the vibe, the Karaoke DJ, the service. Thank you for making us feel welcome.

Good pub experience with karaoke and a wide assortment of cocktails and beers. Some "interesting" walk-ins but that's not the fault of the establishment.

They give you almost no sauce so you have to order more, and they don't mention that it will be $2. Only found out when I saw my receipt. Seriously, $2 for 4 dunks of plum sauce? Drinks are extremely watered down and they aren't properly staffed so the owner must be cheap.

Great pub. Good food and friendly staff. In a quiet area with a nice patio out front for warmer evenings. Super conveniently located directly across from Wellesley TTC station. It's everything a good neighborhood pub should be!

Started going here years ago when I lived across the street. Really solid pub food. It's not the fanciest but the prices are fair and the food is delicious and satisfying. Decent beer selection and they have a lot of non-IPA options (I hate IPAs). The karaoke is amazeballs and the crowd generally had a great vibe.

We used to go there for Open Mic Saturdays with my friends. Never coming back after last time though. There weren't many people singing and my friends and I were a party of 8. Most of us ordered food and we were all ordering drinks throughout the night. Most songs were requested by our group and we were having a good time until the server brought us our bills because "it's not a private karaoke lounge" and we were "singing too often". There were lots of available tables in the karaoke section and we were all paying customers constantly ordering more and more throughout the night. The DJ didn't seem to have a problem with us either since we were energetic but not doing anything risky towards others or their equipment. Just a weird night overall, getting a "private Karaoke lounge" next time lol much more affordable than paying for their "Specials". Edit because I just saw some other similar reviews left by visible minorities: My friends and I are Latinos.

I visited on a Thursday. It was a quiet place on the ground floor lots of people were out on first dates. Music was good very rustic Irish styled pub. Food and beers were decent and not too pricey.

The waitress was sweet as pie but MIA. I had to walk to the hostess to ask for my waitress to show up. The food tasted good but not enough salad dressing (and you pay more for the "extra "). Worst was that I think the clamato in my Ceasar was off and I ended the night throwing up.

Went on Halloween night with a friend. I understand that it was a busy night especially because it’s near church street but that was still no excuse for bad service. First of all, after we were seated it took a long time before anyone came to take our order, so much so that we were considering going somewhere else or just going home and ordering takeout. Secondly my friend and I ordered two cocktails WITH alcohol mind you, yet when they finally came to us it tasted like juice with a sprinkle of liquor???? Thirdly the two of us ordered one platter of nachos to share, can someone tell me why we see a different waiter than the one that took our order, walk straight past us with the nachos. Not only that, she went up to several tables asking if they had ordered the nachos, but she didn’t come to ours so we tried waving at her but she didn’t see. The waiter then went back into the kitchen and re-emerged with our platter 5 minutes later. My friend and I were greeted with sad, cold nachos. To top it off, when we got our bill, there was already a tip included in the price. Why should I pay a tip for what was essentially no service? I don’t recommend coming here.

Just had lunch here: not terribly busy but good vibe. Bartender was attentive and friendly. Made a good recommendation for a side with my sandwich. Would recommend.

Fox and the Fiddle WELLESLEY, RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL SERVER, and Manager doesn't CARE. Fox & Fiddle front of Wellesley Station. (Toronto) (my history)... be careful on "karaoke nights" Friday and Saturday...if you go even few hours before the karaoke event starts take into consideration the following, even more if you are Latino or belong to a minority racial group: look at your bill they may charge you 18% percent tips without your authorization once they have added the HST at your Bill. Also, if you don't consume anything after you have paid and you wanna stay a bit with the manager permission to see the karaoke singers ne careful with those entitle rude servers smelling weed because they will ask you to leave if you don't drink alcohol at all and will show you the middle finger if you dare to videorecord their action or while they are kicking you out and they threat you because you are recording them. they will accuse you even of being the one who disrespect those drug addicts servers. the manager won't do anything to help you against their impolite and ride servers. Even though doesn't matter that he (the manager) allowed you to stay before!!!... too bad for this franchise...I am too dissatisfied with waitress behaviour...they need customer service training p.s. my Advice for those waittress at Wellesley better you don't do drugs while on your duties to avoid bad trips and accuse without reason your customers of being rude with you.....! Education is the key to grow In your careers and job advancement, if you want to be someone in life and not just a server... ;)
