Overpriced subpar food. It feels like prices are double the pre-pandemic levels. And what’s up with 18$ per pound wings? We were there on Tuesday, and no Tuesday special was offered?? Portions are small, and if you order “Large” sweet potato fries, be ready for disappointment. One more thing, we felt rushed to leave, probably because it was around 11pm and they still wanted to fit one or more groups before closing time. There are some advantages, and that is definitely the location and the patio. This is much better and nicer patio than other bars and restaurants along Yonge which took out the street lane in order to fit improvised patio on the street?! So that is good, enough for 2 stars - atmosphere and real patio. I give them one more star to having frozen glasses for beer on tap, that’s amazing. So you might have great time if you’d like to have extra cold beer on a nice patio and like relatively loud music.

The servers were great but the food was terrible. The artichoke dip was out of a jar and as you can see this included the plastic jar seal. The fish was extremely fresh and out of a bag along with the fries. The tortillas were cold and the toppings were horrible, cheese out of a bag and one ounce toppings from a jar as well. Terrible experience

I like to think I am a am lenient guy... I eat, and like to keep it simple... But tonight was a whole other level of ''patience''... Keep in-mind, I was seated right next to the welcoming desk !... After waiting 30 minutes to get to order my drink, I had to flag the waitress down to order my meal some 1.5 hours after I got my glass... I ordered the steak kabob with Greek salad and fries... 1) My olives still had their pits (not removed)... These are grounds for chipped tooth law-suit ! 2) The salad dressing was on the side... so making my salad tasty was quite difficult ! 3) My freezer tasting fries were half baked... 4) My steak was a slab of unidentifiable meat cut... They say marinated, but not only there were no spices, I could swear it was marinated in water... Because of lack of grill or fry-pan burn marks, I can only deduct it was cooked in the microwave ! I could only bare eating half of my plate before giving a piece of my mind to this 3rd world standard dish. I can't believe I paid in full... Don't believe me... see the picture ! salad was not pre-mixed with the dressing, so trying to have the salad tasty made a mess all over the plate...

Our visit to Thornhill Pub for drinks was enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxed, providing a comfortable setting for an evening out. The selection of red wines was decent, and the service was attentive. It's a great spot if you're looking for a laid-back place to unwind with a glass of red wine. Will definitely come back to try out the food and maybe some white wine to pair with food.

One of the great experiences. I'll start by saying Maya ,my server, was amazing and she was happy all the time and made sure everything is good. She also checked with my drink and served my meals in exact timing. Thanks again Maya. The place looks well organized and the patio was relaxing. The food quality was surprisingly great. Honestly I didn't expect much from a pub but I was blown away by the Quality. Potato skin was hot, tender and delicious. The Beef BBQ was excellent, tender, juicy and it came with house salad which was fresh. I enjoyed my first time experience here. Tha everyone, especially Maya for her amazing work. 10/10

First time eating there. Staff is friendly and portions are big but quality of food is not good. My friend had fish and chips and I had salad. Salad leaves were old to my surprise!

The food was good, but it wasn't anything special to go back there just for it. The atmosphere, live music, and excellent service make it a great place to hang out with friends.

Gamer with a small group of 6. Service was a little slow, wings were large and tasty, fries were average, spinach dip was a good balance of cheese and spinach, burger was tasteful and large from what my friend had to say. Also came here during a private event on a eeekday which might explain the slow service. Overall I would still come back on a slower day and try there other menu items.

A unique and excellent restaurant in terms of food quality and service, I tried most of the foods of this restaurant. steak fajita , chicken fajita, beef and chicken barbecue, fish and chips, burger , salmon and Nachos are unique and very tasty. I suggest you try them. Also enjoy a variety of quality drinks in this restaurant.

Good portions of nachos and pub burgers and fries were amazing. Great service and a server was checking several times if everything was okay. My kid loved both nachos and burgers too. Parking was easy and spacious. Will definitely visit again.

Went on a Friday night for a quick bite with my partner. Service was a little slow and it was very hard to flag down a server as they never looked in our direction. There was a server at the table beside us talking to the guests but she never looked over when I tried making eye contact. We had three servers come to us to ask if we were ready to order, so there seemed to be no communication between them and we didn't know who our server was. Our food took a long time to arrive and I was very disappointed with what we got. My partner got the Thornhill Pub burger and it was okay but it was cold. I ordered the Italian poutine which was described as having "slow cooked homestyle braised beef and red wine gravy". What I received was ground beef with barely any gravy. The cheese was just shredded white cheddar cheese which looked like it had been sitting out for a while. The fries were all stuck together and stuck to the bowl, making it extremely hard to eat. Definitely not worth the $18.95 they charged us for. Will definitely not be coming back.

I attended this establishment on the weekend with a couple friends. The drinks? Great. Food? Lacklustre but fine. Service? Non-existent. We waited for our bills for about 40 minutes before I decided to seek out our server who was nowhere to be found. For a bar that was not even at half capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions, I would suggest a little more organization and tact. No one likes roaming an empty restaurant only to find a group of workers giggling amongst themselves at a table. They have kitchens and storage rooms for that type of behaviour. Otherwise, this bar has a lot of potential and the location is great.

Always a solid C+ as far as service goes and I’ve been here at least a dozen times over the past few years. Today we got excited since the weather was warm and it is THE BEST patio ambiance in a 3km radius FOR SURE. My wine was filled to the BRIM which allowed for the third star in this review. The nachos were over cheesed to the point of soggy - I didn’t know it was possible to over cheese something before. Despite having heating lamps on the patio only ONE worked and we weren’t allowed to sit inside due to COVID regulations except they then sat the next couple who asked inside. So we shivered outside instead. Oh well, I’ll still return for another half-decent experience only next time I’ll get the onion rings.

Although the vibes were chill and the service was ok, the food was not as good as it used to be. The cheese or the nachos were baked to the point of getting stuck to the parchment paper and a lot had gone to waste (2 trays of them). The artichoke dip wasn’t bad at all but the chips that came with it did not feel fresh. I recommend for a cheaper, more affordable night out.

great experience! I've been there last night the burger was tasty, we enjoyed the peaceful ambiance and the music. The staFF was so nice and friendly and made a memorable night for me.

Large, beautiful patio! Gets pretty busy on weekends. Staff seem very nice! Imagine covid has been pretty rough on them. Everybody visiting restaurants should understand there are major challenges right now!

5 of us came for a leisurely Wed afternoon patio lunch. 5 star, food, service & atmosphere. Others have complained about the wait for the food. But you can't rush perfection. Our 5 meals came out together, hot, well presented & VERY good. Large quantity, fair price for today's economy. We'll be back soon.

I went there with a few friends for some snacks and drinks. When it was time to pay, I paid not paying attention to the details. Then my friend wanted to have one more glass of their house wine again. When we got the second bill and my friend added the tip and paid (over $32) then we started to think that it didn't make sense. We looked at the bill for the second time and found out that we were charged $24 + tip for one glass of their house wine which was very average wine. Then we looked at the menu and see that they were advertising that wine for $20 on the menu and charged us $24. The waitress wasn't helpful in helping us so we asked for the manager. The manager's reply was That "WE CHENGED OUR PRICES 2 WEEKS AGO AND THE MENU IS NOT UPDATED". I wanted to review my first bill and since I hadn't kept it, I asked them to show me a copy however, they said it wasn't available. -I find the $20 a glass price for an average win outrages never mind paying $24 for a glass. -I think is very dishonest to advertise low price and charge higher. -Since the menu prices had changed weeks ago and the owner was so busy that didn't have time to update, then shouldn't the waitresses give heads up to the customer? -The manager that received our complaint didn't even attempt to offer the $4 difference back and not even an apology.

Very friendly staff. The girls serving us tonight were very beautiful and friendly. The food was delicious as well. I will be a repeat customer for sure. Our order consisted of artichoke dip which was yummy! the tandoori chick which came with large portion of fries and Greek salad yummy again, and last but not least the amazing chicken fajitas.

I wanted to like this place. Maybe it’s the location. But the service was near non existent for a Wednesday night. Approx 20 ppl, and being walked by servers, who are on their phones. Had to go to bar to order. Beer was warm. To substitute fries it’ll cost you almost $5 for onion rings, despite the side being cheaper than fries. Scam. Ketchup was near empty and not topped off at beginning of shift. Beer is expensive!!! The food, had chicken burger, it was ok. Would recommend the Mary Browns chicken burger. For both quality,taste and price. The fries unfortunately were the highlight. Do not recommend. You’re better off staying at home or starve. Recommend any other place. Seriously.

I wanted the salmon dish, but it came with mashed potatoes or fries and a veggie. I asked what veggies and they told me peppers and onions. I don’t eat those, so I asked for a small salad instead. The manager came over and told me that I could have a small side salad. When my salad arrived, it was huge!!! My dinner was absolutely delicious! The fish was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. Kudos to the chef! Service was slow, but worth the wait. Staff very friendly! Thank you for a great dinner!

Best salmon I had ... I usually order the salmon when I go to such restaurants and it was the best I ever had ... very large piece The waitress was amazingly friendly. We had a good time.

Nice and cozy place. The washroom can be more clean. Offering a glass of water will be appreciated. Update: The food quality is so low. It seems like comercial unhealthy frozen foods. I do not recommend the food here.

It was a nice surprise. Nothing but compliments to service, food, and ambiance. To be five ⭐️ stars, I missed more beer options on tap (IPA's 🙏🏻 please) and the life music could be a little bit less loud. Oh, by the way, it was a memorable jazz trio, the musicians nailed on Bossa Nova (Brazilian Jazz). I'm curious now to try again in the summertime.

It was my first time there. Our server was most accommodating. My only request is that I wished she had smiled more and made us feel more welcomed. We felt she it seemed like serving her customers was a chore. It seemed like she really wanted to be somewhere else. I will give some understanding that it was a Leafs playoff night. This could have been why she seemed off. This is the only reason for my star review at this time. Otherwise, the burger was AMAZING! I will come back again for the burger and to see if the service is better.

We had the best server in town tonight! Everyone was lovely from the moment you walked it. Maya was our server and she was exceptional! One of the best servers I have ever had. Very genuine and hard working! We didn't have food, but everything looked tasty!

Overpriced and poor service! I wish we had a better experience. Headed to the pub around 9pm Saturday night for drinks. Asked for the riesling and was told it wasn’t available which was the 3rd time happening. Then ordered a pitcher of red sangria which wasn’t good either. To be precise, there was barely any alcohol in the whole pitcher and no fruits whatsoever. Oh, and when asked for a table somewhere else because our chairs weren’t comfortable, we were told the table we requested was reserved but it was still empty when we left. Also ordered fries for which waited more than an hour and never received. Won’t be back…

We went to This pub last Saturday the group was excellent!! The lady’s Gillian that sang beautifully. The drinks were expensive especially the Chardonnay $15.50 for a small wine glass. You could buy a bottle of wine cheaper than that. We had an order of calamari is was excellent but a bit greasy. We couldn’t afford this every time bc we’re on a fixed budget.

Thornhill Pub has the best Nachos & Chicken Wings in GTA. We went to watch Argentina Vs Mexico Soccer World Cup 2022. The service is top notch & the food tastes YUMM!! Keep up the good work 👍🏼

Good night experience with nice staff and tasty food options! Friendly staff all with big smiles which gave us a good feeling and spread good vibe! We got loaded Nachoes and Calamari. The Calamari was tasty and the Nacho was one of the bests! There was a good range of drinks available and we ordered beers which served as cold as it should be. They have a nice patio which is a good option if the weather allows. We went there on Friday night so the live music was in place. They are also open till 2 a.m which makes them a good choice for later night drinking. They also have enough space to park your car near the Pub.

Not sure why but I was expecting a different ambience and vibe than what I got. The music was one of the most obvious downsides. The name of the pub doesn't suggest such an environment. The lack of some drinks and beers in such a pub doesn't let me give more than 3 stars, however 4 stars go to the server.

Love the atmosphere, staff are not professional, sometimes they forget you even exist. I had to go and find our server. But the food was amazing, Nachos with ground beef add on was top notch. I have been there twice and will go there again if I am in the area. Parking in weekends is a problem but you can park across from the pub, behind the Starbucks

I had an amazing experience at Thornhill pub yesterday. The atmosphere, food, service - everything was divine! It was my first time here, but I am definitely coming again with my friends! This place is definitely underrated!!! Special thanks to Maya - amazing customer service! She greeted us with a smile and was very kind the entire night I wish there was more servers like her! She recommended the salmon and it was very fresh and good. The music was lovely as well.

This restaurant was absolutely fantastic. It has such a cozy pub vibe and there was live music which was phenomenal. We went with quite a large crowd so I wasn't sure of the spacing when we arrived, but the staff reserved us our own area which was so spacious and decorated so nicely. We had tons of space and attention from staff. I would give them 10 out of 5 if I could, we had such a great time. Cannot wait until we go back as I'd really like to try the mains they have on the menu as we only had some appetizers when we went! Great work Thornhill Pub!

Very nice hidden spot in the North York area. Drinks and food are good. Place is very cozy. They open late and there is parking right beside. Strongly recommend if you are looking for a place to have drinks and catch up with a friend

Completely Neglected all night! Beautiful Patio, but terrible management, Waitress are polite and nice, but they were all over the place, they are not trained for their jobs. Took a long time to get our orders and we had to wait for service from other servers or had to call for help. We asked for a drink one server said we don’t have it and we asked another server she said yes, we do! We ordered an expensive drink and it was so disappointing when they brought us the drink! It wasn’t the one on the menu, not even close to it. Never order food here specially steak Fajitas, it was all Peppers and onions, I hardly found some pieces of beef, and it was very burned! And never order Fajitas here because it takes an hour to come. We ordered food at 8.00 and we had it at 10 pm! Live music is a guy with an accordion…c’mon folks! It was not appropriate pub music. Their menu is high priced and the quality is poor, they can easily hire a decent band that is appropriate for a Pub. This place have a great potential, smarten up
