Had a good experience. A clean room with nice breakfasts. Will be my first option in Toronto trips for sure!

My husband and I stayed for a month while our home was being renovated. This hotel was our perfect home away from home, and better. We took advantage of the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite, and had separate rest spaces on amazing mattresses and linen. The suite included a kitchen with full fridge, 2 hot plates, and dishwasher. I brought with me an air fryer and cooked hardy meals most nights. The complementary buffet breakfasts were great, especially the fresh fruit. Parking for our 2 cars, was just outside a side door entry, near our main floor suite. Laundry facilities were an added bonus. We are grateful to the staff at the Sonesta in providing much needed relief, during a very stressful time.

Great place and I have practically lived here for the last few years for work. My one complaint is that, since the parent company changed from IHG to RMR after the pandemic, they removed the dinner service and breakfast. To be fair there is still a breakfast but... it went from arguably the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had to the same hotel breakfast everyone has. Same cooks, same hotel, cheap company

Rooms were specious with small kitchenette and utensils. Breakfast need to be improved. I stayed almost 3 weeks but ate just egg( omelets scrambled)and bread all the time. Internet is really good. Sometimes there was variation of pork sausage and waffles or fried potato on sides. Laundry room, gym and swimming pool are available and usually clean and maintained. You need to be careful while booking room not towards back of highway 407 if sensitive for noise.

Excellent hotel. Check-in was extremely efficient, breakfast was fantastic. Pillows were far too tall and firm, and dhe fact that they charge $5 for parking is very unusual given the location of the hotel, something that should be re-evaluated.

The front desk worker (Valentino) was extremely rude to my 12 year old sister, he showed his customers attitude and doesn’t know how to talk - we asked him for the contact information of his manager but he refused to tell us anything. Valentino was extremely rude to me as well as with my father and paid no attention to his customers requests. Furthermore, the hotel room were absolutely disgusting - the furniture was all scratched up and the bathrooms had no air ventilation thus the bathrooms smelled very pungent and sickening. The service of the hotel itself was poor and caused us a lot of discomfort as we had to switch our hotels with an hour and had wasted around 3 hours due to this hotel and it’s management. This hotel was truly a nightmare for our vacation - it practically ruined our whole first day made us feel very stressful and uncomfortable. This hotel isn’t for families or even for individuals who are coming to spend some quality time in Toronto. I don’t recommend it to anyone who would like a peaceful and fun vacation!

Staff were great and friendly. Room was really small for families. Price is a little on the high side. Bathrooms are dated and toilet kept getting plugged. Could use a better clean overall. Appliances are old. Convenient to have kitchen, but microwave seemed like it did not work properly and looked 25 years old. Kids were fussy about the room. Breakfast ok, you won’t die eating it but isn’t the greatest quality. However, staff were really great and that helped.

Clean facilities and room with full amenities. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout the premises. Laundry room has 4 washers and 4 dryers which were complementary. Small gym and decent sized indoor pool. Complementary hot breakfast was eh - all factory made frozen food and eggs as well as extremely watered down juices. At least the apples and oranges were fresh! Overall a good stay for a night or week - just don’t expect much for breakfast but there are amazing restaurants all over the area!

Stayed for three weeks. The hotel was very nice, good atmosphere, good breakfast (could use more variety though, it was like a 3 or 4 day menu rotation). Used the gym and the free laundry service a few times. The room was very comfortable (sheets could be better), but I had some trouble keeping it dry when it rained. Location was perfect for me, close to the Commerce Valley Office Park. WiFi was horrible though, worked during the day, but terrible at night.

When I left and my sister took over my room, I told them to stop billing me and take my sister's payment information. They said okay, then kept billing me. They also did not refill sanitizer in the gym after I asked them on three separate occasions, the ventilation fan in the bathroom didn't work, and there was so much chlorine in the pool it was unusable. The room was mostly good amd the price was good.

I liked this hotel overall. The staff are very nice and friendly. It was clean and parking was free. The breakfast was ok not great. The rooms are big enough, we got a king studio. It had a big fridge, a small stove if you like to cook for your little one. It had all dishes, plates, etc.

I insist the hotel authorities to take strict action against Mr.Valentino at the reception. He has no decency on how to speak to a guest I don’t care about your response “we apologise… please write us a email .. blah blah blah”. TAKE ACTION AGAINST HIM IMMEDIATELY. He is an old man with some issues and is ruing the name of your Hotel!!!

This is the second time we have stayed here and our experience was just as good. Large bedrooms and living room. Warm indoor pool. Breakfast which is included was delicious. Very friendly staff.

We had a 2-bedroom suite for our young kids and it was just what we needed. It was a good price and good sized rooms. Everything worked well and was clean, a few things were a bit dated, but overall the rooms were great. We were located on the other side of the building from the elevator but could use the stairs as the top floor is only the fourth. The best part was the staff - all of our interactions were so pleasant, they were kind, polite, hospitable, and really cared that we were able to enjoy our stay. They were very accommodating and we appreciated it very much.

Great service, formerly known as StayBridge. Hotel use to be clean and taken care throughly. Rented twice in past 3 months. Noticed stuff were left behind and was not cleaned properly. There were grape stems on the room floor. Under the table. Yes not a big issue. But during times like this makes me think how sanitization is important at this place.

Love the structure of the suite. Each bedroom has a washroom, allowing four people live comfortably. However, the shower does not work well.

The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows didn't help. Did not sleep well at all during my stay. The AC failed one night and we slept with the windows opened and it was a warm humid night with no breeze and the obnoxious sounds of the 407 highway. Also the ice maker in the refrigerator did not work, but they at least gave us bagged ice. Needless to say I will not be staying there on subsequent annual trips to Toronto.

Awful motel, WAS SO NOISY and light bulbs are busted. Phones are not working properly. One weird guest kept making noise from 10 pm to 2 am and walking around the hallway. Do not go here if you want to rest, you will loose sleep here and after paying $ 191.80 for one night they will not even refund some amount. A lot of noisy and dirty families, kids and some weird rude people live here long term. This place is like a homeless shelter. Some of the staff needs an extensive unbias customer service. There was one friendly and helpful staff in the morning young female caucasian, she's the only one who helped properly. Some staff here are racist. If you are white you will be treated better here. But if you're a solo traveller who is brown or black it will be a poor service for you.

We enjoyed our long stay at Sonesta ES Suites. Check in process was quick and easy. The suite is spacious with a lot of amenities. It has microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator, stove, dish washer and soap is supplied by the hotel on daily basis. The suite has main room and main hall with sofa. Staff was so nice and helpful. The hotel has a nice and cozy heated pool. We enjoyed it so much and specially the kids. The hotels offers daily breakfast that includes cheese/vegetables omlette or scrambled eggs, boild eggs, sausages, potatoes, bagels, toasts, waffle, apples, bananas, muffins, salad bar, cheese, juices, water, coffee.. Hotel location is in a very relaxing neighborhood with nice parks around. And nearby there is a lot of restaurants, banks, pharmacy..

The place is decent and clean, they have a good breakfast as well. And most importantly the front desk are friendly and helpful. Shoutout to David and The asian lady they both lovely. We appreciate as well how they are following with the protocol and only allowing one family to use the pool.

Nice rooms for families, but needs more attention. Nice backyard with bbq grills. Helpful staff. But guests can do whatever they want with no consideration for others and nobody from the staff intervenes. Teens under no supervision knocking at the doors, running, telling and even doing dangerous stuff at the pool that can hurt other. Front desk clerk could'nt help, we had to leave.

My family and I had a wonderful stay in this hotel. All the staff we interacted with were so kind and accommodating! Dhana is just one of the kind and outstanding service minded individuals in the team whom we were fortunate to meet. We wanted to appreciate her and thank her for her continuous kindness and extreme dedication to ensure everyone was happy! Everybody truly made our stay enjoyable, we cannot thank the team enough, but Dhana especially.

Please note, I have never had the pleasure of using your finely kept facilities, but have known folks who have and were very pleased especially the pet friendly aspect. Just wanted to let you know that your sprinklers may need adjustment. Pls. see photo. Seems like the eastern most entrance sprinkler is watering the parking lot. Thought you may want to know. This is your 355 South Park Rd. Markham, Ont. Canada location.

The property is well maintained. Sanitization and covid protocols are properly followed. Services are appreciable too. I would recommend overall. I have posted the views from my hotel room at sonesta.

My sincerest thanks to the Sonesta ES Hotel, staff, and Hotwire for understanding our recent brush with COVID. We had booked and confirmed an overnight with the hotel until a late night call from our son fearing he was coming down with COVID. He asked us to come for our granddaughter to get her our of the house. We had to cancel our confirmed plans. The hotel staff and Hotwire were more than accommodating of our situation and cancelled our booking without penalty. We can't thank both of them enough for their understanding and response. We will certainly book with Sonesta ES again.

Good but not great I've stayed at the one in Toronto this one is more apartment style got the check in early. The room was alright questionable stains on the bottom of mattress and curtain but it was only one night. There's an area to cook if your staying long term with appliances. The gym was small doable the pool looked adequate didn't use either though the breakfast was reasonable. However there was a room of people that were very rowdy past 12 luckily the man at the front desk handled it but still don't organize them in the same hallway as everyone else that was unacceptable.

Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. During covid, wish the hotel would enforce not allowing sick people into common areas. Pool door had issues and pool needs to be better heated. Rooms were large; we got a double room. The living room area is nice but layout is a little awkward with the tv placement. Carpet was a little dirty and previous renters clothing were left behind and not cleaned. Overall, still a very nice room compared to other places. Breakfast room was a little crowded but well stocked. Waffle machine was always empty due to popularity! 😀It was here that there was a lot of coughing and sneezing and definitely you could tell they were sick (and of course not wearing masks). Stairwells and elevator could use a good cleaning or upgrade.

At first glance, this appears to be a very nice and well appointed hotel. Unfortunately for us though, the temperature is rising in the room, and I cannot figure out how to get the AC to work. Called the front desk and they are unable to assist until morning. Sadly we will be checking out then. Oh well, a long night awake and sweating ahead I guess. Sure hope I can keep alert enough to begin the long drive home to northern Ontario. A good nights sleep usually helps with that… We come to Toronto fairly frequently throughout the year. Will not ever be choosing this hotel again.

Great location to base yourself for the zoo, Lego Land and the science centre. Love all the Asian food in walking distance. Rooms good size and tidy, a bit tired but very serviceable and we'll appointed.

Worst suites hotel or less than a motel. Absolutely horrible customer service. I asked for room 111 my room phone and tv remote are not working. The reply from front desk was why are you calling so late.?? By the way I was out and returned to room at 7.30 pm in night. I told him my mistake for disturbing your peace and making you look away from your YouTube videos. Absolutely no help. Let’s move forward to middle of night at 3.30 am the walls of the room are paper thin . You can hear word to word . Bunch of guys returned from outside and having extreme loud conversations. I went to front desk to let one solo person know.. the reply was ok ! I paid $500 for 2 rooms and this is the service I am getting . Waking up in middle of night. Will never book again at this location.

Firstly, the staff were very friendly and always tried their best to help. The location is very good as it is close to many shops and restaurants (if you have a car) and kids playgrounds in Markham. Overall, however, this was not what we expected. Quite noisy airco in the room. Unwashed, dirty windows outside. Close proximity to highway 407 making it very noisy when you open a window. Rooms generally with small windows and it is very dark inside during very sunny, bright days. Rooms are worn out and need renovation, not clean, always some kind of smell present in room and corridors. In room equipment quite outdated (there was no hot water boiler/kettle to boil water - it doesn’t come as standard (weird). Yet there was a toaster and microwave. If you like clean, bright, quiet and airy spaces this is not a place for you. Felt like staying in an old 80’s-90’s American hotel somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

Having previously stayed at a different Sonesta property, we were quite surprised to find our two-bedroom suite really dated. Let's say the suite didn't actually match the photos we saw on the website. Our suite could really use a facelift from the carpet to the furniture to the appliances. I also requested a pet-free room as my son is severely allergic to animal hair but either a) the front desk missed the memo, or 2) housekeeping wasn't thorough enough in their cleaning. Within 24 hours, my son was itchy everywhere and his eyes were red from irritation, to the point that we had to give him allergy meds every 8 hours. Since we were only staying two nights, I didn't want to bother with changing rooms, especially if it doesn't solve the problem. The complimentary breakfast buffet was average. The spread included cereal, toast, bagels, bacon, eggs, yogurt, and fresh seasonal fruits. Staff however started clearing away breakfast items including the coffee carafes well before breakfast service was over and this is with a dining room half full, but failed to empty garbage bins that were overflowing an hour into breakfast service. In conclusion, this Sonesta does not live up to its brand reputation. I would caution anyone from staying here.

Great stay. Felt like home . Great service from the help desk. The kids really enjoyed their own space while I was able to do my work in the other room. Everything you need was available in the suite. We shall return :)

Very very very disappointing and bad experience. 1. The sofa bed does not come with a mattress. It was a cushion. 2. Customer service was rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. The man at the reception lied and was not willing to provide us with any help when we needed. 3. The fridge is very old, it makes those unpleasant loud noises. They are extremely annoying and makes it very difficult to fall asleep. No refund were given as well. Hotels are supposed to provide decent service and hygiene, this place does not live up to even half of those expectations. Don’t come here unless you’re willing to waste your money. Would not recommend and this stay ruined our family vacation.

Unfortunately,I had an extremely disappointing experience with the customer service and cleanliness at this establishment. The mattress was visibly stained and dirty, and to make matters worse, it was lacking any bedding essentials like sheets, pillows, or a proper cover. Upon requesting assistance from the front desk, I encountered unprofessional and rude behavior. Initially, the employee, Mrs,Sxxxxxx, said they didn't have any left. After telling him we will have to make a complaint considering our situation, he sent us a thin mattress cover instead of a proper cover, and even after explaining the issue, he provided a cover that was stained, clearly not clean, and with a gut-wrenching odor. We had to go back again to ask him to give us a clean one. Finally, he gave us a clean blanket. When we asked him the reason why he didn't give a clean blanket the first time,he answered that he needed time to search for this specific one. The comfort is truly disappointing. I wouldn't recommend staying here given the poor customer service and unsatisfactory room conditions.
