👍👍 My new favourite hobby store! Pleasantly surprised by their stock of gundams. The owners are really cool people and clearly passionate about the store. Love the vibes and how welcoming the place is. Whether you're new to tabletop/collectible hobbies or a seasoned vet, this store is definitely a grea... People often mention store, time,

Great little game shop on King Street, in Preston in the newly forming Hobby District… Cards and Cords has a great selection of board games, puzzles, Warhammer and lots of collectible cards. Many of the Warhammer pieces are customizable and paintable, Cards and Cords has about a thousand colours available. CaC’s has a couple Warhammer boards set up for players of all ages to come in and roll the dice for victory. The prices are super competitive with online shops, so why not shop local. Jeff the proprietor knows his stuff and can really steer you in the right direction. There is lots of street parking on King St, with several city lots near by. Check them out.

My first time at the store.I was there with my 9 year old son. He is starting a Warhammer 40k grey knight army. We had questions about paint. The person working had no interest in helping. I was told "what ever there is, is over there." And they walked away. I ended up at the store across the street where they were more than happy to help us out. I have since found other stores that sell Citadel paint and won't be back.

My friend and I weren’t quite sure how the place worked, but the owner walked us through the process. Staff even helped set us up for the first game we played. Very welcoming environment. Low-key which is nice too. Would prefer to go here rather than a bigger board game spot in the city.

Visited for the first time Summer of 2022 when I biked from Brantford to Waterford, they offered me a cold bottle of water and a place to cool off for a few minutes, I've been coming back when I can ever since. The couple that owns the location are incredibly friendly and have an infectious kind of positivity. When events are going the store bustles with that same kind of energy like its charging the air. A good selection of product with fair prices and better company. I will be visiting again.

My hobby home away from home- the community here can't be beat with their positivity and welcoming attitude, plus their prices are unmatched as well. The employees are knowledgeable and kind, it's clear they love their customers and are always working to nurture and expand their community. Love this place, they deserve more than 5 stars.

Was getting into magic, and the store owner personally took the time to sort through a ridiculous amount of cards and was able to build a 100 card deck almost exclusively from his inventory that day. The most polite and helpful experience I have had from a hobby store and the community is great

This is the place to be!! Jeff and nancy are absolutely amazing people, they run a very welcoming, positive and fun store, from the moment you first step foot into the store to the 20 time the feeling never changes, your always welcome and treated as a friend, they take the time to get to know you and and not just as a customer, I was nervous my first time going in to play cards and because of them its' now the highlight of my week. Also if you like comics ask Jeff about the hunger and the dusk he got me hooked!!
