Good place for children and pets. First impression upon arrival was not great. Check in was a rickety old shack with rotten chairs and no staff. Finally checked in. We camped in the forest section. This was pleasant. A short walk to the beach and "comfort station", which consisted of cob web ridden, run down out houses, outdoor showers and one sink. This place definitely needs some TLC and tidying up. The best part of this place was the beach area, activities and waterfall. The wonderful girl that runs the water sports is a gem. I believe her name is Emily - a one woman show, from cleaning the outhouses, delivering fire wood, helping people with the boats and even fixing electrical issues in the sites, she is a doll. She made the stay pleasurable and is definitely their best asset. Overall my children had a blast, at the "water park" a bit of false advertising as it is definitely not a water park. They did enjoy the water slide, jump rope, trampoline, magic carpet and endless boats and paddle boards. I would recommend this place if you have kids.

We had a great experience camping here over the long weekend. The beach, river, and falls were easily accessible and the highlight of the trip. The camp site itself had plenty of space for us to have a few tents for our group. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times, especially Johnny! We appreciate it. Would definitely go back and highly recommend this place.

The campsite was good, but very bumpy, was so hard to find a good spot to pop a tent, but dealt with it as we had an air mattress. The porta potties didn’t have toilet paper, sanitizer was gone for days; They had sinks in them, but they weren’t working. The toilet at the pool where you had to go was flooded, the water was turned off one morning and later was told it was working but the toilet didn’t flush. However, did get fixed once I spoke to someone, and the toilet paper was refreshed in the porta potties once I mentioned it. Not sure how long they would have been emptied if I didn’t say something. It was so bad people were driving to Tim Hortons and the line there was a couple hours because the washrooms here were terrible. Quiet time is at 10 and 2 of the 3 nights we stayed people were partying with loud music until 3 am! We have a baby, and it was hard to keep her asleep with all the loud music and screaming and chanting/cheering. The play ground for the kids was great, and the nature was beautiful. Just wish the cleanliness and attentiveness to rules was better managed. If it says quiet time at 10, management should be checking to make sure people aren’t parting past that time. It is a family campground, and it seemed more like a party campground than anything. The falls were beautiful, especially if you’re able to drive or bike up to the top and explore.

Camped in High Falls for one night. Our site was right on the beach! Very nice sandy site#11. Perfect for kids and dogs. Waterfalls very near by. Calm river but a bit deep after a few feet in. The park seems old and rundown but location is nice. Rope swing super fun!! Lots of paddle boats, sups etc. Also pool that we enjoyed. All washrooms need a serious makeover. Portable toilets and shower only down by the beach area. Staff (Andrew and Lady and front desk) were really nice during our stay. Even though it’s rundown I would come again.

We rented the 5-bedroom cottage and our group had the whole place for the weekend. The cottage was decent and clean, and had everything we needed. The owners were available when needed. We enjoyed the views especially the falls and the waterpark (5 minute drive down from the cottage) swimming and paddling and admiring the fall foliage. Great place to bring children especially in the summer as there are a lot of activities! The whole resort can do a bit more work because it has a lot of potential and the location was a plus! Very close to downtown Bacebridge which we explored after we checked out.

Stay far away, Although a beautiful park, the owner Brian Cowan is a not a nice man. Google search his name and High Falls, there is a reason he had several hundred police charges against his name. I have witnessed many times him blocking in patrons of the park with his tractor and charging them hundreds and even thousands of dollars to get out. The OPP is there regularly and there is nothing they can do because it is private property and basically Brian can enforce whatever he wants. I had a large RV there, built a $20,000.00 deck thinking I would be there forever and got out within 4 years. It was hell and I took a huge financial loss being there.

It's our First time at High Falls! Firstly, we have a doubt because of the BAD reviews but we give it a shot! We went to the beach and play at waterpark with Family and friends. My honest review is, we really enjoyed the waterpark with the kids because of the kayak, boating, water acitivities such as slides! and the falls is really nice!! Lastly, they need to improve the washrooms and showers it's a bit smelly and dirty. and the surrounding needs improvement as well. they need someone to maintain the park. For those who wants to camp: I observe that the campsite is a bit small and less private and a bit bumpy when you're going there to do tent camping.

It’s a fairly decent place to camp with family and children. The pool was clean, short drive to Sydney port beach. The washrooms are not great. They don’t control the noisy/loud campers past the quite time (11:00pm) we were ok with that though. Overall it’s a good camp site.

😠 I was looking at purchasing a trailer here, and rent it out when I'm not using it. Great Blue's Partnership program is not desirable, whatsoever! They want 50% of your rental, still charge you full park fees, make you buy their "trailer content package", dictate your selling price AND take 10% of yo...
