Overprice student residence. The rooms look nothing like what is advertised on their website. Something is always breaking apart, elevators are always down. There's constant construction noise. Walls are thin as paper. Food is decent, some days pretty bad. The only good thing is the proximity to school. You can probably find a bigger place for the same amount of money give or take and live without the constant hassle that Parkside loves putting its residents through. A year later and my review for Parkside is almost still the same, the rooms have gotten better and the construction noise is gone but management is still just as bad, elevators are still almost always out of service, food is okay, and the wifi months later still does not work AND In case you're wondering why all of a sudden Parkside is getting 5 star reviews, the picture below explains why lol

The rooms are pretty spacious compared to a hotel if you have both bedrooms in the suite. Furniture is quite utilitarian with Iron bedsteads but the mattress was ok, a nice duvee would be nice, which as student I guess you bring your own. Bathroom size was good and it was nice to have a proper bath. I was on the 5th floor which is quite close to the street and I think it would have been nice on a higher floor. The air-conditioning however was however was pretty noisey and mine wasn't switched on as the building vent is next to the bedroom. The rooms were tidy and clean but a bit worn. The gym however was very well kitted out and a lot better than most hotel gyms. Multiple running machines and even a boxing bag. They also had an outside area which you had to get to via the kitchen area at the end of the corridor. Use the disabled door openers. The breakfast was ok, it had a great selection but the beans tasted strange and the egg was not hot plus no sausages. I forgot my receipt however and I got a copy about a day later after requesting by email which meant I could claim my expenses. Would I go back, - Yes but you just need to be aware that it is not a hotel but then again you aren't paying hotel prices.

I STRONGLY advise AGAINST considering Parkside!!! I don't even think it deserves a one star. I had an utterly horrendous experience with my roommate during my stay. The living conditions were abysmal, and the stress induced multiple panic attacks, severely hampering my ability to function properly. I made repeated attempts to address the situation with the Parkside management, specifically requesting a change of room due to the unbearable circumstances. Shockingly, they informed me that a room change would come with a $3000 fee. The situation got so bad that I had hurt myself in the room and got sent to the ER. Following this incident, I had a discussion with Daniel from the office. He assured me that the bloodstain cleanup cost would be covered and that an immediate room change would be arranged by moving me out of the room. Regrettably, these commitments were never fulfilled, and the next tenant was unfairly forced to pay the bloodstain removal expense. I want to highlight a particularly distressing aspect of my experience. They not only failed to address the issues I faced, but they also exhibited an alarming lack of empathy and integrity by forcing the subsequent tenant to bear the cost of the bloodstain cleanup. This callous and unjust action only underscores their blatant disregard for the well-being of their residents and their primary focus on financial gain. It's disheartening to witness such an unethical approach from an institution that should prioritize the safety and mental health of its students. Moreover, I'd like to highlight that Parkside's accommodations could be described as a fancy shoebox, if such a comparison even makes sense. It is unfairly expensive for a room that can't even fit a bedside table. On a related note, I want to underscore my disappointment with their dining options – not only were they excessively expensive, but they also posed notable health hazards. The food quality was far from acceptable, leading to an unfortunate incident of food poisoning after consumption. Students deserve a reliable and secure living environment Unfortunately, Parkside's showed the inability to meet these basic expectations. I have never regretted staying at a place as I have with parkside.

I hope this was the first year this student residence tries out being a hotel during the summer months. They are severely lacking. Bedroom only has a $5 IKEA table lamp to light the room. Only the bathroom and entrance way are properly lit. See attached pic with all the lights on in the whole room. A/C was constantly blowing even though I turned it off. Mentioned it to the front desk and they said they would look at it but 12hrs later and the machine was still going strong and the battery symbol on the thermostat was still blinking so who knows if they even did anything. Tried to overcharge me for the room (not by much but still) so make sure you check before you pay. Bed is extremely firm. Breakfast was good with lots of selection but I'm not a breakfast person so useless for me. I would stay here again if I couldn't find anything else but it is not my first choice by a long shot.

This is a great place for all the students who would like to focus well on their studies as they don't need to worry about preparing any food for themselves as Parkside offers 'All you can eat meal plan.' There are various amenity spaces in the building including study spaces, dance room, fitness room, library, theater room, games room and much more for you to pass your leisure time. You get the opportunity to meet students from around the world and make a ton of friends. The Residence life team hosts various fun and community engaging events all year round. The entire student staff and management is extremely helpful and friendly. A special shout-out to Kayannush Mehta who is also a part of the management team here. He always looks out for the residents and tries his best to assist us in whatever capacity he can.

I would not recommend Parkside Student Residence to anyone. My mental health suffered greatly during my time there due to the poor living conditions. They do not care about your mental health and risk, and forced me to stay with a roommate that bullied me to the point where my mental health has hit rock bottom. They told me that I need to pay a few thousand dollars to change roommates. The rent was exorbitantly priced for a small and cramped room with no lighting. On top of that, we were forced to pay an outrageous amount for subpar and low-quality food. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place.

The kitchen staff are wonderful but the meal plan is not worth paying $3300 a semester on top of rent. The security and janitorial staff are also great but the managers don’t really care about issues you bring up.

My Parkside experience has honestly been great. I’ve met so many people since moving in September. The events are always fun, there is always something going on and the staff is friendly. The lease and rules set the expectation of what to expect quite straightforward. I signed for a 2 bed private and honestly its has been very convenient, even though I do enjoy a larger bedroom. The leasing process was very easy and quick. CA Melanie and Raha at the front desk have been helpful whenever I've needed something. As a graduate student, I’ve lived at other on-campus residences before, and honestly the food is much better here. The menu is on rotation like any other residence, but one thing that really sets it apart is whenever I’ve asked for something they have tried to incorporate it to the menu or make it available. (thank you Fred!!) Not to mention that there is alway a pop-up table with something new to try. The Korean Twister potatoes were amazing and last week there was a beach themed event. I recommend Parkside to anyone looking for a safety net place to live. If you’re looking for condo living, this may not be the best place for you.

Mostly lovely and helpful staff, convinient location, good view on the higher floors. The beds are rather hard so bring a foam mattress topper if you're staying for the long haul. The bedrooms are like small prison cells but the living room space is good and there is ample storage. It was good to have a dining plan to reduce the time I would spend cooking, and the meals are all you can eat. Kitchen staff were helpful with dietary requirements when getting lunch to go. There are communal kitchens should you not want canteen food.

The experience at our restaurant is beyond phenomenal. It is very culture inclusive. All holidays ( Easter’s, St. Patrick, Ramadan, etc…) are celebrated. Birthdays too are celebrated collectively on a monthly basis.. which is very cool The best part is events that are held… recently, we had a cheese tasting showcase of the Top 10 cheeses produced locally. Trying different types of cheese was amazing, learning how to pair it with fruit jams, nuts and crackers was a beautiful experience. I always look forward to the culinary surprises. It’s a chef’s kiss moment with every bite of food I take.

please do something about the numerous house flies and fruit flies in the restaurant , it's really gross when you're trying to enjoy a meal and they're swarming your table , maybe keeping the fruit refrigerated and setting fly traps will help . . .

From our walk through the door, we were made to feel welcomed and given the info we needed to make the decision. Victoria was great! She asked us if there was anything specifically we wanted to know/see and she was a perfect reflection of the environment. A great ambassador! The room and amenities - big thumbs up. Daniel is looking forward to Sept!

I believe Parkside has a very friendly and welcoming environment. Everyone here are so nice especially the staff of Parkside. For example all the CA’s like Raha who I’m close friend with. She always spend time with me and makes sure that everything is going well which I believe it is very kind of her.

We are an undergraduate study group of 17 from the UK and this is without doubt the best student accommodation we have ever stayed in. The incredible selection of hot and cold dishes. Wholesome natural ingredients. And expansive range of international cuisines is amazing. Catering for all dietary needs is also exceptional. The friendly and professional staff teams are dedicated to providing a 5 star service. We can't recommend Parkside enough!

My stay at Parkside as a student studying at Centennial College was absolutely fantastic! The staff was friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and modern, and the sense of community was incredible. The location was convenient, with everything I needed within walking distance. Highly recommended!

Excellent management team that is willing to go the extra step to help you with any roadblocks. The management staff are very kind. Cafeteria food is good for the most part, with a variety of choices depending on the day. Menu incorporates options from different cultural backgrounds. Take-away lunch unfortunately closes a bit too early for my liking, at 9:30am, so you *have* to wake up before then if you plan on being outside during lunchtime — and we know university students often stay up late for studying or partying and hence might wake up later too. Half a star deducted for the rooms themselves: the one window cannot be opened much, and there is inadequate lighting in the rooms themselves, forcing you to bring your own lights. Final rating: 4.5/5 Would recommend to a student looking for affordable housing options during the school term, especially as the building is close by both UofT and TMU.

My stay at parkside has been wonderful. I first came to this country alone and had no friends or family here. Parkside welcomed me and provided me with an amazing family with whom I made memories around the building specifically in the cafeteria. my favourite meals were prepared on request by the staff. If you are thinking about moving to parkside you should highly consider it and join the experience. By the way Daniel is the best lad there 🫡

I had a great time living at Parkside. The amenities are great especially the study space where you can just focus one things. I also enjoyed the lobby a lot just meeting with people and having conversations. The weekly events were highlights of my stay. Many thanks to Tusharika who organized and facilitated multiple events during that year.

It's a pretty good residence to stay, if you enjoy having homeless shouting, loud car roars, and sirens from ambulances and police cars as background music every night when you go to sleep. This place is not soundproof at all.

I’m from Italy, I have been in parkside for 2 months and I really liked it. It’s easy to make friends, the people are always nice, and helpful. there are a lot of common rooms where you can play and make new friends! The rooms are big enough ,The gym is well Equipped , and the food is good, you have a lot of choices with foods from all over the world.

I like Parkside for their meal plan which is quite reasonable. I think they maintain quite a high standard in cleanliness and hygiene in their eatery. I would like to thank Victoria for her efforts in organizing and sustaining such a meticulous team of cooks and distributors. PS: Please make lamb curry tonight.

I love staying at Parkside! Although the rooms are small, I had a great time sharing common spaces with fellow students and spending time with my roommate. The Ca’s were very helpful and available all the time. Especially Ca Cenk who helped me when i was locked out.
