One of the best shawarma in the city for sure. Generous portions with well seasoned chicken and tasty garlic sauce. Glad they also include some bread on the side for the hummus too. This place can get busy during lunch cause of how popular it is.

Nice Shawarma place overall. Not the best I’ve ever had but still very good. They have a unique way of filling their pitas and a homemade type hot sauce that gives a nice flavour. Prices are reasonable where you can get 2 pitas for around $15 which is workable. I did enjoy it overall and will come back again some day eventually to maybe try a Shawarma plate as well.

I wish I could give them 7 stars. By far I could say this place offers the best Shawarma in GTA. They have a small shop but be they very clean and their staff are super friendly and generous. Tried beef and chicken shawarma and also got a few falafel on the side and all were just delicious and authentic not westernized. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to have a delicious shawarma.

My favorite go to spot in Toronto for the BEST shawarma! I've been going here for over 20 years and have always received exceptional service with a smile. I loved living close by years back and will now drive from the west just to get my shawarma cravings satisfied! The shawarmas are nicely stuffed with so many delicious ingredients and very flavorful! The tabbouleh salad is always fresh and very generous portions! Their soup is definitely a hidden gem that I discovered a few years back and love it. If you're looking for the real deal authentic Arabic food, Empire is the spot to go! Hands down the BEST shawarma spot in Toronto!

I always do my review based on three things 1 ) Food taste 2) customer service 3) Atmosphere bonus point for H&S 1 ) food, food was really good. Had a chicken shawarma it was different the way they make it. It was done rite good sauces in it. Chicken is tender. Very well done. 2) customer service, Good service. No issues 3) we sat in our car. No way I can sit in side. There was at least 20 people inside this place. No social distance. Sad to see Overall good experience. Food was good. Reason for not 5 star is because there is no social distance at all. The place is packed with customers and they didn’t care sad to see. The lineup at this place was long! That’s always a good sign to trust if a place is worth trying. Needless to say, I liked it. Watching the food being made in front of you was great. I ate with my eyes just watching them put together wraps with fresh ingredients so I felt full before even taking a bite. Would definitely come back!

This has to be the best Shawarma + Falafel house in Toronto. I've tried many and most don't compare to the Empire. Falafel is cooked properly, salads and toppings are high quality, the meat is very good too, portions are large and prices are correct. On top of all that the service is pretty fast, these guys win on every level. To people complaining about seating or size of the restaurant, it's (Obviously) a take-out only restaurant.

Ordered chicken shawarma plate, comes with bread. Chicken was delicious. However, not a fan of the texture of the rice. Wished they could've given more sauce. Vegetables were fresh. Staffs were polite.

Definitely my favourite shawarma place in Scarborough. I love the wrap doesn’t get soggy & they are very generous with the meat. It’s great pricing & definitely recommend going. PS. Parking isn’t the greatest (always busy) and there is only a few tables should you wish to dine in.

Shawarma gem in scarborough. My go to spot for shawarmas. Reasonable prices (did go up due to inflation). Flavourful, the hummus tastes home made, the meat is well seasoned, the garlic sauce is not too strong, the rest of the ingredients were fresh. Generous portions, they will pack your dinner plate or your sandwich with the toppings of your choice. The dinner plate even comes with a warm pita on the side. The rice in the dinner plate however is, what i would describe it as 'a little wet' (for me), it comes with some type of beanlike (sorry i do not know what it is), but i love how it is. It blends well with the chicken/beef. The quality of the meats here are great. Friendly service. Its a small place, but you can dine in. It does get busy especially during dinner time.

Fantastic spot for delicious chicken shawarma sandwiches. I requested for spicy, and they did not disappoint. The sandwich had a great seasoning and salad quantities as well. Superb food at reasonable prices. Awesome work team Shawarma Empire. I will be back soon!

My husband and I our first time trying this shawarma spot and I must say… it is absolutely yummy!! We found this spot from their reviews. The service was great, and the food was amazing. It is definitely our go to spot now, forget big chains like Osmows! They were busy on a Friday but we still got our food pretty quickly it didn’t take long. The hummus is delicious! Can’t wait to come back.

We had takeout from Shawarma Empire a few weeks ago and their food was pretty good. We ordered Chicken Shawarma salad, Beef Shawarma salad, and Spinach Pie. The meats were very tasty, the veggies were fresh; and it all came in a decent portion. The hummus, the pita and the sauce were a nice addition.

Reminds me of back home Authentic Middle Eastern shawarma. Recommended!

There is no other Shawarma place on this entire continent that can compare to this one. Super clean, super fresh and these people are always super nice. Their hot sauce is the best thing I’ve ever tasted in my entire life I swear to God. Beef or chicken or falafel it doesn’t matter they all taste super fresh and amazing. I’ve never had anything less than perfect from these guys. No matter how far you are from them I guarantee it is worth the drive.

Ordered 4 falafel sandwiches and a beef shawarma plate. All very good. Staff are nice and welcoming. The only downside side is they didn't relay my order correctly and I found out after I paid, so it was a hassle to get it corrected. But good food.

Called on New Year’s Eve to confirm when the store would close and the lady said that they’d be closed around 10pm. Drove from Georgetown and got there around 9:15 and the place was closed. A heads up would’ve been nice

Good customer service and clean restaurant. The food is great, ordered the beef shawarma. Tasty and will go back to try other items as well. The only issue I found is that finding parking in the plaza is sometimes challenging. It's not a restaurant issue, but I think it's a location issue.

Hands down the best falafel wrap I’ve had in the entire GTA, by far, and i live downtown, and am aaaaaall over the GTA for work and grab lunch out daily. Also prices are amazing, you get TWO wraps for like $12. Had a laugh when i saw people complaining they had doubled their prices, not sure how it could be profitable if it was any cheaper!!

This was my first visit. The staff were friendly and the chicken shawarma plate was enough to feed two people. My wife had the chicken shawarma sandwich and the baklava for desert. We’ll definitely go back again.

Have been going here for years when I worked in Scarborough. Returned after a 2 year hiatus and noticed the renovation. Unfortunately the food seemed to get an overhaul as well. The sauce definitely tastes different from what I'm used to, and isn't as good as it's been in the past. I am hoping it was just that one day. Will be returning next week as I have to be in the area to try it again. Hoping the food is back to what I'm used from Shawarma Empire.

I had the chicken shawarma plate with everything and all of the sauces. Everything just sort of tasted bland. Usually plates like this are full of flavour. But the hot sauce wasn't hot, the chicken was sort of dry, and the rice didn't really have much flavor at all, apart from the caramelized onion on top.

I've been getting shawarma from this restaurant for years, and the quality is consistently good. The $13.99 chicken shawarma plate is my go-to. The vegetables and hummus are fresh, and the chicken is tender. This was the first time in a while that I dined in, so my only complaint is that the table was very unstable. It does get quite busy as well, but the wait time isn't too bad.

Okay price for an okay quality shawarma. I find that they can be a bit stingy on ingredients, but overall, the shawarma is decent. Staff are pretty polite & clean from what I've seen, but the quality of the shawarma gives me little reason to return. There are better options in Scarborough in my opinion.

We were so excited to try this place but unfortunately we didnt get what all the hype was about. The shawarma sandwich was dry and the portions of the plate were small! The plate was mostly salad, the chicken was dry and the rice lentils mix was subpar. The staff was very friendly and they were all following covid protocols which we appreciated.

We went there around 10:20 pm and there was still a lineup. While their prices were really good, we noticed that the portions were smaller than at other places. We ordered two falafels and one beef shawarma wraps, and they turned out to be delicious except the beef shawarma because the beef was dried.

Food was average at best, nothing special. I ordered the beef shawarma plate. Nearly half of the meal consisted of salad. The rice-lentil pilaf was meh and the beef slices were kind of dry. As an observation the staff was nice and wore their masks properly. However, none of them were wearing plastic gloves in handling the food especially during this pandemic. Food poisoning anyone? COVID-19 anyone?

Drove from downtown to find good shawarma, walked away full with good shawarma 👍 Well priced, big portions, tasty, balanced and fresh. Beef wasn't dry, rice was slightly overcooked but liked that it had fried shallots mixed in. Didn't have potatoes and garlic sauce but all is good. Would come back again if in the area or need another fixing Store is small with lots of people in the kitchen. Fast service though and you're out with your tasty food quickly

This was my first time at shawarma Empire. When they were making them, they looked small and they were in a small pita, but when I got to eating them they were densely packed with wonderful fillings the flavour was great and I really like their hot sauce. The pitas were good because they were drip resistant. Usually whenever I eat a shawarma from somewhere else a portion of it goes on my shirt.

Best shawarma that I ever had in recent times. Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich (shawarma) and it was so yummy. The place is neat and hygienic but with a less seating capacity. I would like to try the shawarma plate next time for sure!!

Today I went and ordered a shawarma chicken plate after reading all the wonderful reviews. Not gonna lie the chicken was super tasty and I loved it.. however I’m not sure why the chicken was mixed with koshary rice????? I’m sorry but those 2 rlly cannot go together, I was expecting biryana instead.

Definitely the spot to go to when you want a filling and fairly healthy meal without breaking the bank. I've been going here a few times and flavours and portions are consistent. Store could use a makeover, but then they aren't trying to be a high-end shop either.

This place is so overhyped, blogTO made my try this place and they said “They don’t play around when it comes to shawarmas.” This place isn’t even top 50 shawarma on Lawrence Ave. I got a chicken and beef shawarma. The pita breads are small and they cut the top then just leave it at the top which is lazy and ur eating bland bread. They didn’t even toast me shawarma after making it. The beef shawarma was greasy, actually greasy which made me nauseous after eating it. A greasy shawarma? Never heard of it. I’d rather go to Sumaq Charcoal Grill because they actually care about their food and they also make their own bread which tastes great.

I was looking for a good shawarma place in scarborough and was wondering if this place was going to live up to the hype of the reviews, and It did. For $15 I got the beef dinner plate, which was a big portion, very good flavors on everything ect... it isn't the best beef plate I've had, but definitely up there. The only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it wasnt as heavy on the garlic sauce as some other places, and I prefer that more. Also I asked for spicy and even got extra spicy sauce, and I found it flavourful but not spicy at all really.

Best Shawarma place in Scarborough. Their Shawarma looks small as compare to other competitors but it is filled with more stuff and it fills you more as compare to others so dont go on the small size if you are a first time visitor. SO flavorful. Shawarma Empire has invented one of the tastiest, never get soggy shawarma's I've tasted in a while! Lovely twist on the bread the filling sits inside, my mom also loved the rice in your dinner options!!

Bought falafel and shawarma. Poor quality and pricey. Quality of veggies seemed questionable. Won't be going back again.

Good shawarmas at a good price. Biggest surprise is their hot sauce, doesn't taste like bottled Sriracha like lost places use but its nicely smokey like they fire roaste and blend their own hot sauce.

I grew up in the area and have been eating here since a teenager. I’ve ventured across the city for Shawarma and this place is by far the best of the best. Highly recommend for a quick grab and go. Good, fast and cheap - a wonderful staple in the community.

Drove 45 mins out of my way for lunch here today. It was totally worth it! Hands down the best chicken shawarma I’ve eaten so far in Toronto. Will be telling my friends to try here! It’s spiced as close to perfection as you can get it, super crisp veg, tender meat. All the staff wearing masks and doing their best to respect the social distancing rules too! Super well done guys! 💯
