We ordered the Grouper and Sea Bass grilled with batata hara, hummus, fresh pita bread, mixed vegetables and tahini sauce. The fish was so fresh and delicious grilled and the sides were really good. The restaurant was clean, spacious and staff were nice. There was about a 50 minute wait for the grilled fish but it was worth the wait. It was my first time visiting and I will definitely return again.

Overrated place. I heard so much about this place and was so excited to try it, but I wasn't amazed. Yes, the fish is fresh and tasted great. Pricey a bit for what you get. Seasoned well, but timing is simply too much. We were told it'd take approx 40 minutes to be ready, but 50 minutes later, and we were told to wait outside as it wasn't ready yet. Ended up taking about an hour. (Suggestion: call in advance and come a little later than the eta given). I enjoyed the brown rice (but $3.49 for a small side) and I liked what came with the fish. Drove about 45 minutes for this place and didn't turn out to be what I expected or as amazing as I've always heard of it to be, but I did enjoy the fish, the way it was seasoned and its freshness. An area of improvement is customer service and overall, not letting the food overcook. The photos show the Ghadir Special Platter at $74.99, plus a side of large rice at about $7.00. First of all, the presentation is just sad, platters at any restaurant, any cuisine are always presented well. Secondly, what you get in terms of garnish is very little and again...sad; no pickles whatsoever and the amount is not enough for more than 2 people...this is not garnish. Third the meat itself is dry and way too much spice. This place had gone from one of my favourite spots with great food to becoming just very bad. This platter is not worth the money, go to Adonis and see what a real platter looks like.

Had a good experience with the food. The people making it looks efficient. The ambiance of the place and set-up is a little confusing for me. The menu is with the grilling and food section and you’d have to remember your order and line up at the grocery cashier behind and there wasn’t clear line. Then we’d have to cross the bread making section to get to the dining area. We ordered falafel and mix rice plate and both servings and flavors are good. They do large or party orders and would love to try that.

Good things come to those who wait! Not a place for a quick bite, but boy, great food will be your reward! Clean, great service, amazing food. Get you fish right off the ice and the kitchen cooks it either over charcoal or fried. Went 2 nights in a roll! Opens til 10pm. Just love it!

One of the best places for Middle Eastern food. I tried their whole chicken BBQ, the best food I had recently. Don't wait, go and try with your friends and family. Good food for a reasonable price. They have shawarma, kebabs, BBQ etc. I highly recommend the BBQ chicken. They have enough dine-in space, but on weekends, it may get busy. This will be one of my go-to spots now.

Delicious food for good value. Their Shawarma platter is interesting and unique with bite sized pieces of shawarma wrap arranged in a circle with fries, more meat and salad in the middle. Place is always busy and lively. Nice to be there with a group of friends during dinner time.

Great chicken, great beef, great hummus, and thus, great shawarma. This is the place you need to be in Scarborough (and arguably the entire city). Ghadir has to be one of the top spots in Toronto if you really are craving middle eastern food. Have been visiting ghadir for sometime now. Everything is top notch but my favourite item has to be the fish. The usual wait times are between 40 to 50 minutes, but well worth the wait and tastes beyong expectation!

We took the chicken family platter and cheese manakish , the shawarma was nice, and the cheese manakish was great. Definitely a authentic restaurant. It's not 5 star as I was personally hopeful it would be similar to the shawarma we get in Dubai, it's not, nevertheless it's good. Reasonably priced too.

this place feels very home like to me. got a shawarma store in a grocery store/meat store and they have a seafood market. the shawarma was amazing. like honestly so much sauce and meat. it was so good. also the plate was really good. honestly have no complaints. ghadir is a must visit.

Worth the hype and definitely authentic Lebanese food. This place offers all the grill classics of lebanese food including kafta, taouk, makanek, sujok, shawarma and even broasted chicken. IYKYK. We tried a mixed grill platter which came with pita, hummus and toum. All delicious. The place also had manakeesh, fish section and other classic lebanese grocery items. There’s a big spot to dine in. Just pick a table and sit. The service is Lebanese, so you know it’s good!

You walk-in to choose the type of fish you want, then they will grill it or fry it for you. We got it grilled and it was grilled to perfection, seasoned perfectly and so FRESH! It came with Pita Bread chips (we think that’s what it is) and we loved everything about it!!

This place is the best for its kebab items. Most of the time, it remains busy and crowded for the high demand for their food. Overall price and quality of the foods are good. Taste is also excellent. However, along with the food variety, they also sell traditional middle-east food items in the shop. There is also a separate portion where grill fish and kebab are sold. If you are thinking of a parking facility, the answer is yes. They have a parking facility outside the shop. The employees are very friendly and cooperative. Overall, cleanliness is good but can be improved a bit more. Decoration of the shop is average. Food preparation and delivery time are very reasonable. So, kebab lovers can pick this place to have a delicious kebab at an affordable price.

very good grilled meats and shwarma. If you order a platter, be sure to do it well in advance, especially during busy seasons like Christmas, NYE, etc. Their hummus is delicious as well as their garlic sauce and rice. Everything is super authentic and incredibly tasty!

This rating is based solely on the food. The service is fine too. It's not really a nice place to dine in but I don't come here for the atmosphere. This is easily one of the best shawarma spots I've been to. The prices are very fair and everything I've tried here tastes incredible.

Great middle eastern food! Very reasonably priced. The restaurant is housed inside a store so the ambiance is not good (which is understandable). Place is self serve. You place an order at the shop's till (which is the same for people doing groceries) and pick up the food from the kitchen area (which is also inside the shop) Downside: Cleanliness is bad. Dont even think about going to the toilet !

Visited couple of time. Food is ok inside dine in should be more pleasent. Ate slaman fish. It was good. Fish and chips was ok, but not up to the mark. Rice quality was average.

This is a great place to get your everything Mediterranean. You have the best butcher in town. You a wide variety of frozen and fridged goods. Before you leave if you are not feeling hungry for one of the many delicious meals, I suggest you grab a BBQ sandwich. You will thank me later.

I heard alot of good things about this place so I decided to check it out on my lunch break. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Plate which was a good serving size and smelled really good as I opened the container. As I started eating the rice/chicken, the chicken seemed not fresh as it was very dry and hard. As I continued to eat, I pulled out and noticed a shiny plastic strip mixed into my food. The salad was also very soggy and not appetizing at all. I didn't even want to finish the meal after all this.

I was driving by and the place looked kind of nice, I walked in and asked for a plate, they told me to go outside and wait till my number is called, I waited for 20 minutes went back inside and asked what happened, he said he made a mistake and gave the food to somebody else, I was not happy but still stayed and took my food, the meat was dry and flavorless, salad and the fries were good, they give a good amount of pickles and and reddish. As I was leaving I want to buy 2 drinks he offered to pay for them and he did. I was grateful.

We ordered hummus, half chicken broast and a single platter shawarma. The meat restaurant is inside their grocery store. Food tastes average for me. Nothing special.

Ghadir is an absolutely amazing halal BBQ meat joint. Their BBQ is always flavorful, perfectly cooked and delivered to you with a wonderful array of accompaniments. I always tend to grab a pack of their fresh bread to go with the BBQ. Their shawarma on Saj bread is really scrumptious as well. The only item I am not a super fan of are the ground meat kebabs. Highly recommended!

This place used to be really good. Not sure what happened, but I'm sure they'll try to say pandemic! We used to get the exact same thing for last 5 years, so we know how it looks like and comes with. Today we ordered the same thing for the first time after six months (because we moved to a different city) - the Ghadir plate with one chicken sandwich, our order # was 89. We had two orders of the same thing. It seemed they split one order into two boxes!!! It was less than half the fries on each, the chicken sandwich and the pickled bread were dried out, the sandwich seemed it was missing pieces, they didn't include the spicy garlic sauce even though we specifically requested it and they didn't include the extra Shawarma meat on top like they always used to do. Even their vegi/salad were different. Really disappointed and not sure if we'll come back again, specially when there are 30+min wait to get the order.

I tried the fish & chips the day before and came back to get grilled fish and it is delicious. You pick a fish type and they charge grilling fee or deep fried fee; i order a cheap tilapia fish grilled and it is only $11! Call ahead to order as it takes about 30 min to grill

Today the wait was abnormally long. Waited about 20 minutes for my order. The food was good however the portions could be bigger. They have added seating capacity outside. They have a nice shaded area where you can wait for your order.

Honestly I am not sure who else is posting good reviews for this place. I had a rate out of chicken shawarma today with salad and all. Terrible. Sauces taste like something else. Nothing is fresh. Very busy place. You would think the food is good. May be its good because people don't know better.

I have tried a lot of food from here. The chicken and beef shawarma taste really good. The sauce and meat are delicious. Just for shawarma, it's $10.72 (after tax). The grilled chicken platter (drinks and fries) is good enough for four people. Just get a pack of pita bread for $1 (they often run out due to high demand), totaling around $35 (after tax). The salmon fish platter (comes with pita and three sides) also tastes good and is suitable for two people. I don’t think it’s overpriced, considering the expensive market price of fish. It's around $33, including drinks.

Come to this place if you want good tasting arabic food. Shawarma tastes exactly like how they make it in Lebanon (garlic, pickles, fries, and the chicken shawarma) = amazing!! One time me and my family got this platter and another time the sandwiches. You get your moneys worth here!

What can I say, one of the best Middle Eastern Restaurant in the GTA. If you haven't tried this restaurant, you are missing out. Food is fresh and extremely flavourful. Dine in experience is great too but just know that it's always crowded.

Got the whole bbq chicken platter with fries. The way they cook their chicken is so amazing, it is extremely juicy and tender ( even the chicken breast ). Would defogger recommend it for a family. Even though 2 grown men can finish the platter easily. It filled us up with no problem.

A no frills authentic Middle Eastern restaurant. This was our second visit and we ordered the grilled sea bream and a couple of side dishes. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and the staff were friendly. We will definitely go again.

Probably the best fish platter I have ever had at any take out place. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Baba ghanoush was smokey and delicious, potatoes were amazing. Everything was a 10, Love this place. Keep up the good work.

A Lebanese resurgent along with a small grocery store. Seating available too. I have tried their chicken shawarma several times. Same taste each time. Pretty big shawarma for the price. Love that they put French fires inside their shawarma and it’s totally customised. The cashier Samar was very helpful and very friendly. It’s pretty busy during evening and weekends … but worth the wait.

They have a fish and chips take out for around $8 which is very good value plus tasty enough. Their meat is halal if that interests you. It's always busy as its very popular. It's also very clean - the #1 attraction in food service.

Good customer service. Food was very fresh and cooked well. We got whitening and sea bream, spicy and fried. If you want fish with lesser bones, try “whitening”, it only had 1 big bone in the middle and that’s it. Overall, it’s very cheap and the food is great.

Superb grilled or fried fish by the pound with the tastiest sides. The prices are very decent too but beware of the extreme congestion in and around the parking area. You can also order online and pick up in 30-40 minutes which makes it doubly convenient!

The food at this place is amazing…..i have been to high end expensive restaurants but have never had such fulfilling experience…..i ordered ghadir mix platter, for two, assuming its will be the same size as other restaurants but a huuuuuge platter of food came to us…….it’s unbelievable how for such low price, their taste is perfect. The only thing they should improve is their sitting…..are is quite small and not well maintained, if they turn it in to a proper dine in experience, it will be a huge success
