Very lovely park, lots of benches and places to sit; great place to take the dog for a walk or go for a picnic. I didn’t see any public washrooms or drinking fountains but it was very pleasant and quite lovely. Worth the trip if you’re in the area.

This is one the hidden gems of midtown. The park is relatively large and it connects with other green spaces. It is fantastic for an afternoon walk, for a jog or for walking with your dog. The entrance from Young St, the main entrance makes it feel like a real English garden behind an aristocrat country residence. In spring and during fall the park has a lot of colour and is very instegramable. Inside the park there are some other sports facilities that accommodate even those who go driving to a park.

A picturesque escape from the bustling city… There is a large variety of gorgeous flowers all over the park - lots of adorable bumblebees pollinating as well! There are benches and parking lots available. If you go further into the park, there are hiking trails.

This place is my favorite park, so calm, beautiful and tranquil. It is not big but sure is a nice park to stroll in.

Our favorite nearby short getaway. Maintained beautifully. We have seen people bring their pets to play, wedding parties doing photoshoots, and people of all ages enjoying here.

Alexander Muir Memorial Park gets 5 stars from not for the park itself but because it is the unofficial trailhead of probably my favourite hike in the city, especially in the later fall. You start at Alexander Muir Memorial Gardens and head south, making your way through the Bylthwood Ravine and into Sherwood Park. You walk through Sherwood and head into the off-leash dog park and follow that up to Bayview where you do a tricky street crossing into Sunnydene Park where the trail continues across the road just behind the yellow road gate posts. Once past the posts, you can take the trail to left or up the hill to the right. To the right is my favourite route, it gives you great views from the top of the ravine but it has very steep inclines with sharp declines - so be prepared with good shoes and have a buddy This meandering route will lead you into Sunnyside Park. Go left at the park and find the trailhead that loops you back - it's directly before the Sunnyside dog park. This is about a 8.5 k hike through forest and by streams. Go in the later part of the day and you will have the trails mostly to yourself. The fall colours are astounding.

Beautiful park! Amazing for wedding photoshoots. The location is easy to get to and surprisingly peaceful despite being located next to a busy street. There are always a lot of secluded areas for pictures and the greenery adds a great tint of color in the background of shots.

Nice small garden in the city. The landscaping is interesting and good varieties of flowers. There are plenty of benches nestled among the vegetation and garden paths. We really enjoyed it.

A beautiful park to enjoy any time of year, especially in the fall. While there, I saw 3 wedding parties, as it's it's a lovely place to take wedding photos. Who is Alexander Muir? Alexander Muir (5 April 1830 – 26 June 1906) was a Canadian songwriter, poet, soldier, and school headmaster. He was the composer of The Maple Leaf Forever, which he wrote in October 1867 to celebrate the Confederation of Canada.

I just happened to discover this place as I cycled by and omg it's gorgeous! So serene even though you're only a few meters away from Yonge street. It also happens to be a perfect day. There's small secluded not lit up areas here today just adds to the charm of this place. I love it!

Great spot for pictures on a sunny day anbdtime with the ones you love. Trails are short and more opportune for photos than for actual exercise unless doing loops, more a place for a casual stroll and conversation. Loved this spot.

Small, yet beautiful park. The flowers are yet to bloom. Yonge Street is just next to it and traffic sounds intermingle with birds chirping.

great garden that's quite peaceful even during weekends. Not very big, but there's some good open and shaded spots for a picnic as well as photos in general. Definitely an urban oasis away from the busy city right outside the gates!

If you’re around Yonge and Lawrence in Toronto, come stroll in this beautiful and well groomed garden. Best place for looking at so many to mention flowers, shrubs and hundred year olds trees. Walking around is so relaxing, peace and quiet and beyond the gardens you’ll be walking to a long trail that leads to Sherwood Forest, Sunnybrook parks and so many other trails that’s also worth exploring. Come and experience the awesome.

Beautiful gardens with some history. This is a gem in the middle of Toronto. Come here to relax, recharge and replenish. It was reconstructed in 1953. The garden is connected to Blythewood Ravine and Sherwood Park. The entire stretch is accessible by walk and bikes. One would need at least 6 hours to go from end to the other and back. There are leash free areas for dogs so if you aren't one comfortable around such make sure you know what to do. Although the board walk down the Shorewood park to Mount Hope Cemetry is worth the hustle. One can even reach Edward Gardens on her same with if you are adventurous enough. Sherwood Park has a playground, please pad, picnic tables and washrooms.

I live near by and like to frequent this park at least once a month. They take good care of the garden to keep different seasonal flowers available. Always very nicely laid out and a wonderful spot to sit and reflect.

Clean and well kept garden. This comment is for the dog owners! Please pick up your dogs poop. So inconsiderate of the environment and the people using this beautiful park! You know who you are ! Oh, and this is for the person who did pick up their dog poop. However, they had the àudacity to drop the poop in the flower bed. Gross! Alexander Muir does supply garbage bins, so use them. A_HOLE!

Beautiful place for a quiet stroll. The occasional spotting of the local hare and skunk makes my day.

What a lovely getaway! Right besides the busiest street of Toronto but yet so quiet and calm! It's literally like stepping into another world closer to nature. Best time to visit is now, need not think twice. Beautiful shades of fall. A great walk around evening sunsets. Carry your waterbottle if you might need to. Good cellphone signal strength! If you're a photographer, this place is a bliss.

What a delightful surprise this hidden gem was right on Yonge Street south of Lawrence Avenue. Even at this time of year there were gorgeous blooms still to enjoy.
