Staff are welcoming and friendly, but the place looks like a dive. Seat cushions are all ripped. Paint peeling. The whole place looks like it's seen much better days. And it was so bright inside that you can't help but notice how run down it is indoors. Drinks are passable. Food isn't great. It's good if you're in the neighbourhood and want some actual liquor other than beer, sake, or soju. I'm just shocked how far this place has fallen. It is not "premium" casual dining anymore.

Friendly service and we came as a group and ordered food and drinks. Food I ordered wasn’t what I expected but it was good and wasn’t too bad. The server made some great drink recommendations as well and was accommodating to our group that was running a bit late. I had the shrimp stack + a gin & tonic

I ordered my steak to be cooked medium-rare, but it arrived well-done. However, the staff corrected it without any hassle, and I appreciated their prompt action. Overall, the food was decent, but nothing outstanding. My friend also felt that the fish dishes were overcooked. On the bright side, the fries were exceptional and had a satisfying crunch to them.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Union Social Eatery and I must say, it was an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend trying their avocado dip, which was not only tasty but also reasonably priced. During happy hour, the drink prices were incredibly affordable, making it the perfect opportunity to enjoy some refreshing beverages without breaking the bank. Our manager chose this location for our staff Christmas dinner this year. It was not very busy when we got there and the ambiance was very inviting and pleasant. I ordered the Smokehouse Deluxe Beef Burger which is served with fries. I enjoyed my food even though the meat was a little more charred than it should have been. Our waitress was great and gave our group exceptional service. I think this is one of the best premium casual dining and socializing venues in town.

Great ambience- nice place to enjoy each other’s company! Food was so so. We ordered fries, tuna bowl, and the chicken killer sandwiches which sadly didn’t live up to expectations! The chicken wings on the other hand were quite spectacular! The waitress services were decent but I assume things went super slow mostly because it’s a Saturday weekend, a very busy time. The food was good (taste & portion). For drink, we ordered Margarita that was good. But, the customer service was not acceptable, we were waiting for any request more than 5 minutes and they didn't treat all customers equally. We were waiting for one box request more than 10 minutes and then someone came who wasn't our waiter. Also, the table was not clean first and we asked them to clean it. The price was reasonable.

Food was decent as many of the dishes offered were more towards upscale pub food with a variety of choices. The sandwiches, burgers and mains offered were fairly filling on their own. Prices for most items were about what other restaurants were charging for similar items. The restaurant has a cozy upstairs patio which is a popular choice in during the dinner hours in good weather. They also offer daily specials for happy hour and after 8pm.

Had a very pleasant lunch - Dani was our server and took very good care of us. The nachos were meh - but the rest of the food was delicious! We had the tuna bowl (in picture) and the almond crusted chicken fingers. Amazing. All washed down with a refreshing Cesar. Excited to return!

I am surprised this place is 4+ stars. The food wasn’t anything special nor was the atmosphere. It was average at best. The fish portion was large however the food was cold when it arrived. The cookies we received for my friend’s birthday were rock solid. Unfortunately, can’t say I recommend this place.

Was a good dine in experience. Nice place to just chill and not too crowded. Very friendly waitresses. Even brought us a surprise birthday brownie. Loved the garlic shrimp tacos and the fish and chips!

Union Social Eatery is nice for the patio, and okay for everything else. For appetizers, I was not too fond on how the nachos (Nachito) were assembled. The calamari was ok, it doesn’t come with a chipotle sauce, which is more of what I am used to in these kinds of establishments. The epic burger was good, and I liked the fries. Our waiter was extremely nice and welcoming. However, I think the management is shoddy which leads to disorganized service. E.g. running out of forks. They seemed a little understaffed to me. I enjoyed the patio atmosphere here, but I would not be too keen on returning!

Went to Union Social for a site tour as I am organizing a corporate event there next month and it is a nice neighborhood style restaurant. The server Morgan was very helpful and the fish and chips were delicious. The only issue is that it is not very accessible for people with mobility challenges like me.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon after lunch hours and the place is empty. We were told the soup of the day was "cream of mushroom" and it was not... We were expecting a vegetarian soup but it had meat in it. The avocado dip was brown in colour when it arrived. It looked like it was made a long time ago and has been sitting out for a long time. The Almond Crusted Chicken Tenders was OK. The chicken was very thin so it was a bit dry. They were nice that they removed the soup from the bill. But overall.... It was very disappointing.

Food was good, I had the UFO burger with the market salad. The salad was delicious and definitely different than an average house salad. The kitchen was out of a few ingredients at the time, our waitress very kindly apologized for this. The staff were nice and welcoming. The rooftop patio was a cozy environment, although we were seated a little too close to another table. Overall, great experience and food.

I order off of UberEats to try this restaurant out for the first time and there was technical issues regarding the order going through on their end. I waited 45 minutes for the takeout order. The hostess tried to resolve the issue to the best of her ability but she knew it wasn't satisfactory with her recommendations. That's when she introduced me to her General Manager Dave, who is exceptional at his job and provided extraordinary customer service. Not only did he refund me in full for my order but he told me to come back tomorrow and he will provide me a free meal. Dave, being a man of his word did welcome me back the next day with open arms and apologized again for the experience I received. Not only did I get to meet him on a personal level; I was able to see the outstanding work environment that he has created for his employees. Not only was the customer service incredible the food was absolutely delicious. This is the type of customer service that has made a lifelong customer in me because I love supporting restaurants that tailor to the customer experience and truly cares about leaving an everlasting memory for each customer that enters their doors. I would highly recommend this amazing restaurant

We were a large group and made a reservation in advance. Got reminder call for proof of covid. Staff were very nice and friendly. We asked to rearrange the tables configuration and they were just fine with it. Asked to turn off the ac and so they did. No one had any complaints about their food. I had the veggie burger and was very good.

It was my first patio after a long long time and it was quite pleasant. I went there on a Saturday evening and luckily I could have a table without any wait. The lady who served us was incredibly nice and lovely. I really liked my cheeseburger, and they followed the instructions I gave, however, I asked for no sauce but there was still a bit mayo underneath the patty. I was too hungry and the lady was so nice and I’m sure it was busy so I didn’t want to be annoying LOL The last time I visited them, the fries were more fresh; they weren’t bad this time but it would be better if they were more fresh Overall, enjoyable! Great patio in the summer. A good combination of healthy and delicious food is on the menu. Friendly staff. The atmosphere is laid back and great for a business lunch or a casual dinner. Good selection of cocktails and beer, though their wine list is shorter than they publish as the cellar isn't stocked well. We had to get our 4th choice of wine.

I did not enjoy the mushroom burger and i thought it was dry. Shrimp tacos were realy good. Overall good experience and I woulf recommend. Staff is very friendly and fast. Place is clean and social distancing is maintained.

The restaurant's location was splendid, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The establishment is well-maintained and has ample space to cater to its customers. Prior to my visit, I came across multiple reviews praising the restaurant's diverse menu and delectable dishes, which influenced my decision to dine there. Unfortunately, my experience was dampened when I ordered four different dishes and found them to be excessively dry. Despite their impressive appearance, they lacked the flavor described in some of the reviews. Despite this setback, I had a pleasant evening and remain hopeful that the restaurant will prioritize improving their food preparation techniques.

Was here recently during Winterlicious. Seems they are understaffed. The service was barely okay. We waited awhile before our server came to take our order and we only saw them again when we walked to the bar to look for them so that we could pay for our meal. The meal was given to us by others helping out so it was hard to ask for condiments, cutlery and/or napkins. I understand the server and food runners were doing their best, but I hope this review will help them get more people to work with.

Its a quiet cozy place in the afternoons. Good spot for a beer and snacks. More so, it is also a good place for dining as well. Servers, Bartenders and staffs are professional and nice. 2 notable names who served me when I've been here, Fifi and Alisa (or Lisa* sorry I could've been confused). The menu is a bit expensive than other restaurants around or even downtown for that matter, but they do have daily special menus to look at. And considering the place, its worth to spend extra cents, at least so far. Its also a good place for group party or reservations considering the space it has, and good thing is, they don't have a compulsion by default extra % gratuity for larger groups* (15 guests). And being a hospitality professional, that's how it should be, where gratuity and tips are earned not asked for 🙂. I will be there again for sure and I liked the place so much, even applied over here. Nevertheless, as the name suggests, good social cafe to socialize if you have the right mindset and be on the right time. P.S I just wish they were able to show the European Football like, Champions League and Premier League, would have added Cherry on top.

This place is must visit and my go to since many years. Never has this place failed in its ambience, food and service. From the super amazing summer feeling under the barbecue lights to the cozy spirited indoor ambience in winters. Enjoying the tacos, chicken and drinks cheers us up just always. Love this place

This place has a wonderful ambience. The staff are super-friendly and the food is really good. Along with good quality versions of regular pub fare, there are.some delightful surprises. I had the ahi tuna rice bowl which was great and the ingredients were fresh, but a little salty for my taste. A good time was had by all!

Affordable location that feels upscale. Nice joint for dates, dinners. Foods prettyyyyy good. Small selection and availability for drinks. Food is slightly on the overpriced size but the venue environment makes up for it.

We decided to do a patio drink before it ends and this was just perfect. They have a great food menu but the drinks are equally varied. Do try the espresso martini and the summer punch. But the star was the Mars brownie, definitely recommended. All the drinks are priced reasonably and we spent about $40 with a tip. The servers are excellent.

Last night we celebrated my daughter's birthday at Union Social, Yonge & Sheppard. We were met with THE MOST friendliest and welcoming faces! The team at Union Social were so efficient and attentive. They made us feel super special! The food was of high quality and full of fabulous flavors! We cant wait to get there! Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Pretty par for the course as far as pub/bar-styled food goes. The menu has a few interesting twists here and there that make it stand out like the Almond Crusted Chicken Tenders. Although the price is steep for the food you're getting, if you're ordering something like a burger you can expect to be loaded up with fries that will fill you up. That being said, our server was wonderful and the rooftop patio was a beautiful spot to enjoy the evening. Great place to bring large groups or enjoy something a little more simple and casual!

Really nice place and the upstairs patio is pretty awesome, Very attentive waitresses and the atmosphere is really good. I had their calamari and I've tried a lot of calamari from a lot of different places and this is by far the best calamari I have ever had As well as the blackened salmon was really good too. I will be seeing them again very soon 👌

Based on other reviews here seems like kitchen is very inconsistent Famous “almond crusted chicken Tenders” hand like 2 slivers of almonds total and were very bland. Server checked on the food and i said my almond chicken is missing almonds. He said he was going to check with the kitchen on whats going on but never gave us an update/resolution/attempt to make things better.

Amazing quite, not to busy , Friendly great service, Nice. Lindsay was my server excellent. Deluxe cheese burger with fries. Cooked well. Not to long of a wait. I would recommend to eat here.

Went here on a Friday afternoon sunny so we decided to try out the patio. They weren’t too busy but I felt like there was a lack of attentiveness, it took some time to locate a menu then there was an issue with the order (wrong beer brought) which is ok but I feel like communication amongst the servers weren’t great as we eventually had to flag down another server to get service. Wings not bad however no napkins or cutlery were brought at the same time or prior to so had to wait wings got cold a bit…hopefully it was just an off night but maybe I’ll try this place again for other food and see.

Rooftop patio is pretty amazing. The place is loud tho I lived here for years before finally trying Union and its very nice and yummy. Its on the mid to pricey range so its good for hanging out with friends and getting a nice meal/drink. Got a salad, nachos, tacos, and cocktails and it was amazing all around.

The staff was very accommodating (I had to take a call the whole time I was there) and super helpful with my order from the start. I had the steak frites and the beef was slightly tougher than desired but I didn’t complain and the manager gave me a discount! The frites were plenty and had the right crunch. Speaking of doing a superb job, Sima, the waitress, was very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and helped pick out the right wine for my steak. Highly recommend this place if you expect good service while dining in.

Great tasting food, followed by even better value for the portion sizes! And the surprise cookies as a thank you was a really nice touch! Extremely happy with the overall experience and look forward to having this place as a part of our take out rotation.

staff are very friendly, sweet, our hostess was very helpful and keen to recommend good dishes, running all over the place with a nice smile. We ordered epic cheeseburger and shrimp tacos, the burger was nice (presentation and taste). The shrimp tacos tasted ok (average) shrimp could use a couple more mins on the grill, but presentation was horrible.
