my favorite sauna in the city. The Ambassador Club is about as real-deal Toronto as it gets. This place is an establishment for a reason, a men's only (except for Monday's which are ladies-only) sauna built over 50 years ago, hidden in a cavernous basement at bathurst/sheppard. 2 excellent "real" saunas that put off serious heat, one dry and one wet. I shlep here once a week in winter's to get my sweat on and rejuvenate. When I lived abroad, this was one Toronto landmark I couldn't wait to return to. The club also has a full-time masseuse who is incredible (ask for Lazar), a great ice-cold pool for swimming cold laps after an intense heat session, and a lounge area for relaxing post-sweat. Its dated but its the real-deal and while I've never gone to any other sauna in the city, I don't think anywhere else rivals this place.

Men only club for those who enjoy roasting at 100 degrees Celsius. If you're a Russophile, this is the place for you. Located in great neighbourhood, very pedestrian friendly. Occupying the spacious basement of a an old strip mall, you'll find a labyrinth leading to several public rooms which include a large cold water pool & a wood fired sauna. This exotic place has the feel of a bygone era or place. Absence of women eliminates all sexual tension & IMHO makes for a better experience that the other GTA banyas.

Mondays are LADIES ONLY. Plaza parking is only 2 hours and "vehicle will be towed at owners expense". Ask the cashier for parking placard to place on your car dash so you can stay longer than 2 hours. Make sure you bring your own toiletries. Robes and flip-flops provided but if you are germaphobe, bring your own. Towels were not available during the busy times but the regulars seems to know where to go in the laundry room to get them. Laundry guy was helpful to new comers and he goes around entire establishment cleaning up after patrons. I am not sure if the pool was heated but it was a lot warmer than some of Toronto's public community pools. Did not try the hot tub because it was very noisy when turned on.

Went at least once a month before Covid, can't wait to return, wished I lived closer to buy a membership. Great value, great people, good times. Great place to chill. Try it out and you'll be surprised how you haven't had this all your life.

Love this awesome place! Owners very nice and the atmosphere is calm. For those who wants a big sensory break, come here!

I was introduced to this place by my father in law. It's an older place but an amazing place to go and relax.

Best banya in Toronto by far. Most quality steam!

Simple and comfortable. Need renovation, but still paradise for men.

No frills place with great food and best price in the city for traditional Banya with proper high temperature

Had a really good time, food was amazing and the facilities were really nice. Highly recommend this hidden gem!!
