Mezza Notte is an authentic Italian Restaurant. I have watched it under construction and finally open for business plus Patio coming soon. I'm happy to say the ambiance has a feel good energy to it, lots of happy people dining and sipping vino, service is great, price and portions are reasonable. I will be back to try more items on the menu and I highly recommend it. Patio is now open.

Amazing service! Authentic Italian flavors! The sauce for the escargot is 👌 I highly recommend asking for the specials! They make lasagna fresh in house and they give good portions. The flavors for everything is really well done! Even the calamari is flaky and their sauces are perfect! Their home made tiramisu is a good portion, very light and fluffy! Highly recommend trying! Their risotto is really good, same with their bruschetta. The place is very quaint and clean. Washrooms are downstairs. You can't go wrong with ordering anything!

The food is just as good as the old location. The wine is great and the new decor is really fresh. But unfortunately halfway through our meal I saw our server stick his fingers in the cheese dish and eat it. Only posting because the manager seemed pretty okay with this situation.

Italian food that is outstanding. We were invited to a family event and I honestly can say the food was delicious. It was a preset menu and each dish was not only delicious but beautiful presentation. Every bite was fresh and perfectly seasoned. I would highly recommend if you are looking for Italian food. They are opened for business in between private parties.

How was the food? I liked their take on Italian the Italian food, it is certainly different but in a good way. not a big fan of their starter though, because the bread was cold, unless that’s how they meant for it to be, which would be a little weird. I liked the main dish however, the angel hair pasta tasted very nice. The desserts were alright, nothing special about them. But I would definitely recommend to come and try their pasta, pretty interesting. Would I recommend? Yes

We brought together a group for dinner. It was accommodated with no problem thanks to owner Robert Savonarota. Our dinner was excellent. It was very authentic and classic Italian. The service from Maria our waitress was great.

I love the installa Mediterranean salad, it has a delicious grilled portobello. The ambiance is fantastic and the atmosphere was majestic. I had a fabulous drink ceaser and also an amazingly seasoned veal with marvellous mushrooms and a fine gravy

Came here for my birthday celebration on Father's day weekend and had one of THE BEST dinner experiences. I want to start out by highlighting our amazingly awesome waitress, Jenny, who went above and beyond in making my birthday dinner spectacular. There were 8 of us and everyone adored her. Things started out a tiny bit unpleasant, as there was a bit of a confusion in regards to a matter that was originally approved by the restaurant and then later flip flopped on. The misunderstanding was cleared up by dinnertime with the manager, but nevertheless, a few of my friends suggested I cancel and head somewhere else to save myself the headache of dealing with "bad service", especially since it was my birthday. But I really wanted italian! And those who know the yonge and finch area would know that good non-Asian food is really hard to come by in this area, much less a good Italian restaurant that has the classy and elegant ambiance I wanted for my birthday. So I stuck it out with Mezza, and boy am I glad! As soon as we sat down, in comes our super attentive, enthusiastic, and helpful waitress, Jenny, who single-handedly turned the boat around. She was just such a bundle of delight, patiently answered everyone's questions, came back over and over to give us more parmesan for our pastas, went out of her way to make me feel special as a birthday girl. Just all around phenomenal customer service. Besides Jenny, the few others who poured us sangria, brought my birthday cake over, and sang happy birthday with my friends were fantastic too. No complaints about service. Next up, food. Between the 8 of us, we ordered pastas, risottos, pizzas and everyone enjoyed their food. I had the pappardelle ragu and omg, it was absolutely delicious. Fresh pasta cooked perfectly with the right amount of al dente chew. The sauce had great flavour and the lamb melted in my mouth. It was so good that one of my friends ordered one for herself on top of her risotto. My bf's squid ink pasta was quite special and I liked the pasta flavour. I also had a bite of my friend's risotto, which I thought was decent but did not compare to the pastas imo. I did notice that all the pastas seemed to be red sauce, so it would've been nice to have a cream or white sauce variety in the future. Overall, the restaurant really made my birthday super memorable. I can keep raving about the food and service. My friends and I are already talking about coming back!

This is a great little place! Prices are good, wine selection is great, and the food is sublime! The service here is also top notch. I have tried three of their pastas now, and I look forward to trying more!

Came here to celebrate my brother and my birthday. They were able to take a same day reservation, which was great. It was a little cramped (there was another party on the table next to us) but we settled in quite nicely. All the dishes were delicious and arrived promptly despite being busy on a Saturday night. The desserts were the best part, especially the white chocolate cheesecake. Was definitely a memorable night with good food. Will come here again, hopefully with a smaller party.

Overall, attentive service throughout the evening. Great menu and the grilled fish plate was excellent. Highly recommend.

Amazing italian place. I heard this place was recently renovated and you can tell because it looks very modern and new. We arrive on a Thursday at 8 pm and it was empty but by 8:30 was packed. The cozze marinara and the pizza with pesto was out of this world. The service was excellent and everything looks super clean.

I took my mum and daughters on Feb 8 for my mum’s 87th birthday. The food was great and the service super. The waitress was so friendly and helpful and really added to the whole vibe. I’ll definitely be going again.

We went to celebrate a friends birthday - her choice of the restaurant. The food was good, the service could be improved - pretty slow and our waiter wasn't very attentive. The atmosphere's is good, but noisy. We were surprised when we were charged $10 for a piece of cake with a candle. Guess we shouldn't have presumed that it was complementary...on the plus side, it was a delicious piece of tiramisu ;o)

This is our go to spot and patio and their food never disappoints. We've gone here at least 20 times and never had anything but an excellent meal. Tonight, we decided to order in our favorite - for stay at home Omicron new years. Unfortunately there was a double miscommunication on our order where we received a different item (and actually had called prior as well to confirm). The manager sent a driver to do a swap and he was here in 25 mins, and new years is saved with everyone is very happy and full. Thank you Mezza Notte for solving the issue. Hoping for an end to this annoying pandemic so we can be back inside safely soon.

Delicious Bruschettas pizza. My favorite dish is the lemon chicken. Finger liking good!

Second time dining here. This time dined downstairs in the small party room. Loved the quieter room. Amazing food, great service, great atmosphere. Pizza was delicious..thin crunchy crust. My husband and son in law devoured the mussels in red sauce and enjoyed sopping up the sauce with the crusty fresh bread. We'll be returning for sure.

I went here yesterday and the food was amazing me and my friends Ordered the bruschetta it was so good like one of the best ones I have ever had in my life. So much flavour. For my main dish I order a margarita pizza and it was 10/10 pizza!!! Would definitely recommend this place and would come back !:)

Mezza Notte is one of my absolute favourite restaurants! I love how the staff are so kind, caring, and how over the course of 25 years have become family. Their food is also spot on all the time (pizzas, pastas, salads, desserts you can’t go wrong!). Thank you Mezza Notte!

The service was quick and the vibe at the restaurant was great (esp the music) and I really enjoyed the dishes I ordered. Fettuccine d’estate, didn’t have a tomato based sauce, as it’s base is just extra virgin olive oil. Super delicious and pasta was cooked perfectly. Insalata di radicchio, one of my favourite salads! It was sweet, a bit sour and bitter but went really well with the walnuts and blue cheese. Vitello saltimbocca, this dish was a bit too salty for me but the veal was cooked really tender.

The worst Italian food. The delivery was soggy, lemons were hot, pasta clumped together... and the salad... OMG 14$ for a JOKE of a salad. I have no idea who is giving this place positive reviews because its terrible. Waste of 50$

Food is amazing. I’ve been coming to this location for years and have never been disappointed (I’ve tried a variety items on their menu). The quality is great, and although it may seem a bit pricier to some people, the portion sizes are more than enough - can easily have enough leftovers for another meal. I tried ordering from them via Uber eats for the first time this time, and the food arrived hot, with some panini buns, and they definitely didn’t skimp out on portion size. This is one of my favourite Italian restaurants - would 100% recommend.

Came for winterlicious a couple nights ago, the service was pretty good. My only complaint about the service is that they didn’t really clear the table when dishes were done. There is not very many parking in front of the restaurant however there was some at the back, and street parking available. The appetizer was very good. I liked the calamari and the mushroom. The entree was decent sized, given winterlicious menu. The salmon was a little salty and too seasoned for my liking. The insides were not completely or thoroughly cooked. I really liked the cheese risotto. That was done very well. The dessert was really rich which I enjoyed. Over all the food was pretty good, I probably would not have come here without the winterlicious menu though. Definitely recommend to try!

We used their catering service for 2 event in the last 2 months and both times the food was excellent. It arrived on time, and the food was delivered in foil pans with lids and then in a card board box which kept the food warm. We had penne vodka which our guest loooved, lemons chicken, veal and mushroom masala, grilled veggies, risotto and salad. All absolutely delicious! Rob was the person who we connected with to set up our menu and he was lovely to work with. All in all Mezza Notte’s food and service was amazing! We look forward to eating in there soon or using them for another event. Hundred percent recommend!

New location not quite ready for prime time. We always enjoyed the Yonge Street spot so we decided to try the new Dufferin location. Reservations highly recommended. On walking in the place was full and the noise level was 10+. They have a downstairs dining room and we checked it out, same noise level so we stayed upstairs. Wines by the glass start at about $15, which we think is pricey. We ordered an Italian salad, a pizza and a pasta with grilled chicken. Salad served quickly, but came with the root end of the romaine which the server and manager thought was appropriate (we disagree). The pizza and pasta and took over 30 minutes to arrive. Food was well prepared and tasty. Bottles of still water left on the table is great. Dining rooms need baffles, carpeting of wall coverings to reduce the noise. Its nice to be able to speak to and hear others at the table. Servers try hard but need some more time to get it right.

I’m Italian - and have eaten a lot of Italian food (homemade and restaurant). This was the worst Italian food I’ve ever had in my life. I ordered a lamb ragu … it was mediocre pasta with hard chunks of lamb - tasted horrible. My girlfriend also ordered a salty risotto - we are usually good for a couple plates of pasta each. We couldn’t even finish our dishes. I’ve never sent food back at a restaurant but if this had been in person I wouldn’t have hesitated. Really bad food - would have been happier eating a bagel with butter tbh. Definitely skip this place if you are looking for italian you are better off ordering pizza nova
