I've been a regular for a very long time. While the service remains stellar, I've noticed a shift in the food experience. I can't help but notice a stark decline in the quality and taste of the food compared to my earlier visits. The flavors have changed, and the dishes I used to love now lack the same appeal. Hoping for a turnaround soon because this place holds sentimental value for me.

I can't believe the quality of their food is become this awful recently,I was a regular customer before they close dine-in, for me this place was the only persian restaurant with similar quality and taste like back home plus their amazing customer service , but after changing to just take out their quality is changed and not as good as it was before even the customer service is not good. About food, kabobs are become very dry with awful rice which is even not similar to Iranian rice, stews are tasting old and too oily, last time I ordered gheymeh, beside the awful taste, they were serving the hot stew in plastic container which is not good for health

If you are not aware of the Persian cuisine and trying for the first time please be aware that some guys in the front have very little patience to explain but for sure the second time you will love it for sure. Meat was well cooked and tendered with flavours. If you wanna try some authentic Persian dishes this place is must try. Only reason for 4 star is because of lack of patience for some of the staff.

Large portions of amazing Persian food. Ordered the Vaziri Leg Dinner and it was more than enough for 2 people with a side of bread. Highly recommend if you’re in the area, the meat is cooked on a charcoal grill and it’s absolutely delicious.

Excellent foods and service. They serve exotic Persian delicacies in a nicely decorated restaurant. Although young, servers are very polite and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience. One of the most delicious Persian food that I have ever had. Great atmosphere, nice music lighting is calming and the staff are wonderfully helpful and professional. Great Job Darband Restaurant.

Darband is my go to place when I crave for good Persian food. Big portions, and okay price. For take put I suggest to call them in advance and order. It normally take them between 20 to 30 minutes to prepare it. There is enough parking there.

During my recent visit to Darband restaurant, I was impressed by their prices, which were very reasonable considering the generous portions of food they served. I ordered Baghali polo and was blown away by how delicious it was. In fact, the portion was so big that I had to take half of it home for later! The yogurt was also incredibly tasty, but unfortunately, the Shirazi salad wasn't to my liking. One thing I didn't like about Darband restaurant was that they used compostable dishes, spoons, and forks. I was expecting to be served more traditionally, which was a bit disappointing. The staff was also very polite and attentive, which made for a pleasant dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Darband restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Persian cuisine at a great price. Just be prepared to take some leftovers home!

Great food with large portion sizes at an excellent price; really good value! Lamb shank is super tasty, kebab is juicy and flavourful. Rice is fantastic!

The food here is pretty amazing. The portions are way too generous. They serve your food in plastic plates which makes a lot of waste but i think this is their way of keeping their prices down. I found it just a bit too oily but it tastes amazing anyways.

They are still following covid rules that mar the experience of dining. We ordered kubideih kebab which comes with rice and kashke badamjaan which came with bread. The rice was not flavorful nor were the kebabs marinated well. Now we as a family have been to Iran and know how these dishes taste. The kashke badamjaan which is made of eggplants were not mashed properly... hence it was chunky and looked like the chef did a favor by serving. The bread is not baked in the restaurant. The waiter a was very sweet girl and had good customer service. The two stars are for her

Visited this Persian restaurant recently. I opted for a plate with chicken breast, koobideh, and Barg kababs. The chicken breast and koobideh kababs were delicious, but the Barg was a bit on the dry side. One noteworthy feature is the option to choose bread or salad instead of the default rice that comes with the plates. I went for bread and baghali polo; the bread portion was a tad small, but the baghali polo was quite good. Overall, it's a decent place, and I'd appreciate it if they could consider offering larger servings of rice or bread in the future

I was feeling adventurous and ordered Ghormeh Sabzi - veal, beans, and veggie stew. My friends went safe with the kebab. Large servings and i like that they put it in a takeout container already. Service was fast, courteous and nice. Place was well cleaned. Flavors were great!!!

Have come here twice now, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the service and servers are excellent, and the food always makes me feel so happy. The kebab platter is perfect for sharing with the family, with the chicken leg kebab being especially juicy. Everything they do with their rice, especially the tahchin and the crispy saffron rice, is delicious and always something I look forward to. I very much love this restaurant and can see why it has such a long history in its spot!

A good place to experience both Iranian food and Iranian culture! The staff are super nice and attentive and they make sure you have a good experience. Weirdly the waiter suggested a cheaper options that thought will make our day/night more enjoyable! And the Kebab was very juicy and tender as well. Definitely will come back! Everything was awesome! We ordered from there once in person and once with UberEats. Their prices are higher in UberEats compared with their restaurant menu, but the quality is so high!

Limited vegetarian choices and the place is just about coming back to business, having been closed for some time due to the pandemic. The food tasted really good!

Highly recommended, I had the best Kale Pache I ever tried in this Persian restaurant. I’ll definitely go back to try their other persian dishes, but if you missed Kale Pache don’t hesitate and order it from them. I should mention kale pache was so clean and didn’t have bad smell at all, I just loved it.

Awesome food, super friendly and considerate waitress. Food portions are very large and good for two (this was actually first mentioned by the amazing waitress). The owner of this restaurant is very fair-minded. Loved the place.

The portion for lunch was big and I couldn't be able to finish the whole lunch. The lamb shank was great. Good to try Persian food.

If you expect a real dine-in experience like if you are going to a real restaurant, this is not the case here, at least at the time I took my family there. Food is served in plastic dishes, water cups are paper ones and the salad comes as a take-a-way that you should mix yourself and add the sauce etc.

Huge fan of their Kale pache! Delicious and clean, the quality is consistent and reliable, the staff are also helpful. Glad that they have indoor dining now. Just wish they replace their dishes.

After trying many Persian restaurants in Toronto, I can say Darbannd is one of the good ones. I have tried Gheymeh, Ghorme Sabzi and Mahicheh in this restaurant and all of were tasty. The only complaint is about the amount of oil on the stew that you receive, which is a lot.

Great place for Persian food. We usually order delivery service. Expect to be served more rice than you can eat, any fish that comes with the side of rice you will get about 1lb of rice! We loved all the beef and lamb dishes, I was not a big fan of the chicken kebob, it tasted ok, would not order it again. We usually order the baghali polo mahiche (lamb shank), it's very flavorful.
