😠 Very disappointed everyday I am going to the library just to have secretary vacuum and use chemicals (which smell) while im studying!! Caretakers should not be vacuuming while students are studying or using chemicals around them. People often mention Seneca, school, refund, students, student, people, experience, staff, time,

The school itself is not that bad but their administrations (especially registration office) is one of the worst among post secondary institutions in GTA. They’re not just interested in helping out students. If you have questions or need assistance you will have to contact many different departments. To makes matters worse, they are extremely slow in responding. Most of admin employees are unprofessional and they always sounds like they are bothered. Seneca is the one of biggest school but it doesn’t mean they are good. I have a lot more to say but simply choose a smaller public college where you can get better student services and admin support.

Attended the seneca tour today and received constructive detailed feedback from Jim Greaves for my portfolio for the animation program, also attended informative sessions from Sean Craig

Horrible school so far and I haven’t even started. They are totally disorganized, and do everything last minute. I called months ahead to book an appointment and they lied and told me I had a right documents and that it didn’t need to be updated. Months later after finally letting me book the appointment, they said I needed the document I mentioned in the first place and how I apparently have to pay thousands of dollars in order to get it, which also takes months to get. Not only that, I can’t even get into my courses and they keep passing me around to different people in order for my to get any type of assistance, which I haven’t still gotten. Why do they even get paid for. So annoyed, I rather have went to a different school.

To get any problem solved you need to email 3-4 departments. If you send more than 3 emails to someone then you’re reported as a “aggressive student” and plagiarism is rampant and undisciplined. The betrayals at this school are ridiculous and only people with a 4.0 average get the WIL program (coop). So glad to almost be free of this place. Profs here are extremely petty so if you dont get along with them then prepare for a lot of grade appeal applications.

Seneca used to be open to the public however even if you are a university student not affiliated with york u (stand alone ) you will not be able to utilize their study space . Seneca only allows Seneca students or students enrolled in the bridging program with york u / Seneca . Highly disappointed . The security was nice and respectful hence the 3 stars and I understand it from the Seneca administration due to security concerns .

Very poor experience. From the experiences of dealing with the student advisor to registration.. they messed up my graduation date. Would not recommend this school to anyone. Everyone gives different answers to your question and you have to do their job for them.

5/5 for the library resources. Got an email saying my books were ready for pickup only to find out they weren't when I got to the bookstore. Campus seems overly paranoid with not allowing students around a VERY spacious building. Computers (and keyboards) should be wiped down and logged out of daily.. as it's clear that they haven't been

over priced food like for example $15 for a whole sandwich that not even decent when you eat it, basically they just added lettuce and called it a day. your better off bringing your own lunch, or eat before you get there. as for communicating with the campus it took me all summer to finally fix my application to a bhs program kept passing me around when I needed help to fix it just for one simple transaction and took me all summer waisted my 3 months just to gaslight me and tell me it was my issue when they didn't notify me at all about my application progress. king campus is way better at communicating.

Poor service when you ask for a refund. The refund was supposed to be processed since May, and it's October now. When you pay with your debit card, they don't refund it back to your card. They send it through Western Union, which i find ridiculous! The staff that answer the phone when you call pertaining to refunds are so rude and will tell you to hold on and cut you off. I've been to other colleges and this service was far the worst.

Currently a student at this location. I'm enjoying the experience. The only issue I have is with the library. It seems to be more of a social hangout spot. & the books are in cages. Free the books!!

Terrible service at the Registrar Office. I couldn’t get ahold of anyone by phone and rarely did theservicehub ever answer their emails in a timely matter. I waited 5 weeks for an answer that had a deadline 3 weeks ago, and am still currently waiting on a response. I live 2hrs away from campus and had taken my courses online, so showing up there was not a useful way to spend my time given I work full time and they’re closed during the hours I could have come in. I’d never recommend Seneca College to anyone pursuing an education because if you have any barriers you will not be assisted in a timely fashion and be screwed out of thousands of dollars for absolutely nothing. Looking for good colleges? St Lawrence College or Georgian College are AMAZING.

My deep frustration with Seneca College's refund process, which has proven to be exceptionally unresponsive and inefficient. I submitted a refund request several weeks ago and, despite the promised processing time, there has been no update or communication regarding the status of my refund. Additionally, the staff handling refund inquiries over the phone are exceptionally rude. They not only interrupt your call by putting you on hold but also tend to disconnect the call abruptly. Having experienced services at other colleges, this has by far been the most unsatisfactory and frustrating experience.

Very poor and discouraging experience. About 25% of the profs are great, but a lot of them are under qualified and almost treat it like glorified high school. The culture of the school is definitely top-down, and not partners in education. Also, I had a very terrible experience with their student counselling services. I am just one person, and I am sure others have had positive experiences, but a lot of people in my cohort would agree with my feelings.

Their Health insurance is the worse, their service hub is horrible waiting on phone stays for hours, emails for days and days. Their international services staff are strict about their awful policies, and their is no way to reach someone to ask for support. They only care about money! even though they have the worse services.

Campus is nice and people seem great, but asking for help beyond simple things like directions, is a huge hassle. There is a lot of redirecting and instructions such as "Go talk to this person instead" or "You must first do this step" and "No, that step was incorrect". It seems that there is lack of communication/clarity between the offices/staff, hence the time wasted, frustration, and unnecessary steps.

The worst administration ever. Read the reviews. They all agree that they are not understanding and terrible. They sent me to collections after I sent them a DOCTORS note detailing how awful my pregnancy was. Way to put a nail in the coffin and offer the WORST post-secondary learning experience ever.

Getting around the building is quite easy since its like a box and not so big. It's also very convenient to get there coming from the York subway station.

Fantastic institution for higher learning. The staff are awesome! The security are somewhat useless, but other than that it's great!

I apologize upfront but I am totally not satisfied with professor and staff here at Seneca college at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology department. No one supports students. Prof. asks to follow instructions and then when we exactly follow they bring up something new. IF I HAD AN OPTION TO GIVE NEGATIVE REVIEW I WOULD GIVE -5 STARS.

They don’t care about the students , they know about taking the fees but totally forget to refund the fees. My future is at risk due to Seneca because they haven’t refunded my fees even after almost 4 months , but they promise to refund it in 4 weeks lol 👎🏽

[Triggered]: Garbage. Spend your life slaving for your academics and they make it the dumbest hassle to get transcripts. Spent over $50 on orders for an employer. EDIT: Alright, I one starred it at first… I admit, I was mad. But the credentials, and what I’ve learned (still could’ve been done through YouTube, plus a little guidance) have proved effective, I’ll have to give them that.

Becareful if you go here and withdraw. They don't refund your money and goodluck trying to get in touch with anyone regarding OSAP. They're extremely unprofessional and probably scammers. I applied for the computer programming course in 2022 Fall. After the course started I got a job and unfortunately had to drop out. I gave back all the tuition I received from OSAP and thought that was it. Fast forward to Novemeber 3rd 2023, I get a notice from OSAP stating that "part of my grant has now turned into a loan and I owe $286". Well imagine my confusion since I didn't keep any money. I emailed Seneca and I got in touch with Biju at the financial aid office. We went back and forth regarding the $286 and at the end she just tells me to contact NSLSC to correct the $286 because Seneca returned all the money as well. So I call NSLSC and the rep I spoke to told me that Seneca actually hasn't returned part of the tuition. At this point I'm livid. I asked the rep to send me a letter that states this so I can send it to Seneca the rep said it may take 10 business days. In the mean time I contact Seneca again but this time no one is answering my emails. This school is beyond unprofessional and are scam artists. If you can avoid this school I would highly recommend that.

I am from Edmonton and it is very frustrating they are disconnecting my calls as I want to know the that why they deducted my 690 dollars from my account without any reason. I didn’t take any course and living far from their college in Edmonton. What is the meaning of doing this? I called them thrice and they are repeating one thing that they are passing my call to service hub but it gets disconnected. I am an international student and I am really disappointed from this.

This school is terrible. They support lgbtq and let men onto the females teams even know they are literally males. Fix this disgusting lgbtq problem we don’t want them in this school especially not me and my friends.
