The food is so appetizing. I have been to many Persian restaurants, but Darbar is the best one. We usually order Kabab, but this time we ordered Ghormeh Sabzi, which was perfect. The price is reasonable because the portions are generous, and the quality is amazing. The servers are patient and friendly.

Check your bill carefully ! The waitress said the water was free at first, but the menu said three dollars. The bill said $6.7. When asked why the price is different from the menu, they said only the price of water is the old price. Except for water, the price of the rest of the menu was written accurately. Who's right? Is that price true?

I ordered out for the most part because of Covid but had my first dine in experience. We had one order of the roasted eggplant, one order of Koobedeh kaboob with rice, 1/2 litre red wine and baklava for dessert. Portions are large and this was enough for 2 people and very delicious. Very friendly service, elegant atmosphere and a lot changes after lockdown for 2 yrs. If you ask kindly your needs are met. We are all humans, everyone is trying to get back on their feet, shortage of manpower is everywhere and everyone trying to do their best in the service industry...pack your patience and be kind!! I would highly recommend Darbar for its Persian cuisine. Mar 2023, opened and operating, delicious as always!!

The food and the service was amazing! We had the best koobideh kabab outside of Iran here in Darbar. Aynaz was our waitress and she was incredibly warm and welcoming. We had a fabulous time here and would recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty kebab in Toronto 😍

I recently had the pleasure of visiting darbar restaurant and I must say it was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The combination of top-notch food, superb service, and a warm atmosphere made for a truly memorable evening. Matin works there, and he goes above and beyond to provide excellent service. He is not only a nice waiter but also extremely attentive to customers' needs.

Definitely a beautiful restaurant. The inside decor is very elegant and they also have a great patio. The food is really good however it is definitely over priced. Unfortunately the rice dishes we received were very cold to the point they would not even melt the butter that came with them. The meat dishes are definitely seasoned well, tender and juicy. The service requires a lot of improvement as many of the waiters and waitresses seemed confused and not sure what they are doing.

Food was amazing. I had Kabab Torsh and it was an absolute blast! It was truly “torsh” with a lot of pomegranate sauce. 10/10 recommended. Koobide was also very good. Our host was Ainaz and she was very polite, welcoming , and helpful!

I am really surprised to see their interior decoration & lightening. And their food is too much delicious, specially the "Sultani Kebab Combo". I will highly recommended to taste this items.

I struggled a little bit with the 5 star rating since I believed there were points that needed improvements but I just thought it'd be better to list those as suggestions and go with the 5 star. We had booked beforehand and when we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the employees and guided to our table which was fully prepared. The restaurant has a classy and elegant setting and stood out with their service. We went over the menu and ordered our appetizers, meals, etc. The waiting time was not too much considering that we were somewhat of a big group and the appreance of the meals were top notch, as well as their quality and taste. From entering the restaurant and getting appetizers to leaving after the dessert, the service we received was nothing short of amazing and our server Aynaaz (hope I'm spelling her name right) went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. Lastly, I wanted to mention my suggestions: - When we entered, until close to the time we left, we didnt hear not more than one or two Persian songs which was quite disappointing. Funny enough when we got to talking about it at the table, all the songs started to be Persian songs. We joked that the manager had heard us and changed the songs. I thought it'd be nice to play mostly, if not completely Persian songs - It would be a very good addition to the menu if all the items had their Persian names. I understand that not all costumers are Persian and the English name of the meal + description is neccassary. But afterall it is a Persian restaurant and the menu felt like it lacked something without them. - Most of the decorations and art on the wall were just modern art and not significant to our culture. I think maybe a few decorations and arts that comes from Persian culture would be an amazing addition to this location. I understand these are all nitpicky matters, hence why I didnt deduct a star, but all I'm saying when I enter a Persian restaurant with such class and elegance, I hope to feel like as if its a nostalgic atmosphere. I went with my family for the first time. Everything was great. The food was first rate. The lady who served us was really great. The interior of the restaurant was very neat and beautiful.

We had a group dinner at Darbar, we really liked the Persian mixed grill and rice, on point. However, we were disappointed with Ash soup and deserts. I have to mention that their black tea was really good. Our servant Aynaz was really nice, and gave us excellent recommendations !!

Had a lovely experience here , came here after many years since it’s far from where I stay. Safe to say , even after all these years I didn’t have better Persian food than this one. Their atmosphere is so nice , soothing and clean. The meat was so juicy and flavorful. The staff was really good too and the owner was so sweet. Really recommend this restaurant 👍🏻👍🏻

Beautiful restaurant, both inside and out. We sat on the patio. Service was quite nice and our waiter was attentive. The food was enjoyable, but very expensive for the portions. The kebabs however were noticably generous and cooked excellently ... juicy but not undercooked. With regards to flavor, the food tasted too ... safe. No bold unique spices or flavors. The grilled jalapeños and tomatoes were an interesting touch, but I felt the dishes needed some more paprika, or cayenne. On leaving, found out that there is a spice called samoc(?) that I would like to try next time, with apparently the smokiness I was looking for. The salads and veg were very fresh but again expensive. We were given some yogurt to try with the meat ... excellent. The restaurant would benefit from freshly made flat breads, and more generosity given the rich culinary tradition they can draw upon. It would do them well to take more initiative to introduce the public to Persian fare through specials and samples, like we were. I'd give them another chance ... but for a special occasion.

The atmosphere is very pleasant, the food quality is good and the staff is nice, but they're gonna charge you even for water!

The best restaurant that I ate in Toronto, the kebab was very good and the service was excellent, even for a few minutes delay in bringing our food, they had an extra dish for apologizing.

Great food and hospitality … one of the best Persian restaurants that I’ve been to in Canada. The kebabs were great. The rice was mediocre and small quantity. Appetizers were also great.

Brought a friend to this place to introduce Persian Cuisine to, boy it didn't go as planned..!! When you enter the restaurant they ask you in a very condescending way If you have a reservation.. Almost felt attacked from the beginning. The Koobideh kebab and rice came cold and salty, you could only taste the salt and onions while eating the Kebab. The rice was so cold that the big knob of butter they put in there was barely melting, and my $42 Barg kabab was cold and undercooked with a mediocre presentation. The Kashkebademjan was good but nothing special. They also don't serve fresh pita bread. Unfortunately It felt like having food at a Persian Supermarket, and not at a luxury restaurant. Also, The servers didn't bother asking me if I want more water or anything at all. The 3 stars are for the beautiful ambiance and decoration. We left quite unhappy and unsatisfied. I don't know what they are thinking but this place needs a lot of work to live up to their hype. I think I would not be confident to recommend this place to my friends as 'THE" place to go for Persian food.

The place is decent, perfect for families and special occasions, however the soup come cold and with wired taste, the grilled meat was great, the beaf with sauce was good. Nice team but I think they need more practice in hospitality not to offend any one it’s just friendly comment . Thanks for trying to accommodate ur Customers.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant I had really enjoyed the patio and the vibe of outside . It was dog friendly patio which most Iranian restaurants doesn’t allow dogs thanks to Sam he was very warm and friendly. Baklava was nice with pistachio on the side Unfortunately I wasn’t happy with the food and I decided to leave it Vegetarian menus was not the best but it was a good choice for meat lover customers

I celebrated a family birthday at this restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. Despite some minor furniture damage, the overall ambiance remained pleasant and cozy. The large portions of meat dishes were perfectly cooked, and we couldn't finish them all. The Sultan kebab combo, featuring delicious veal, left a lasting impression. The service was efficient, following the classic menu-drinks-appetizers-main course sequence, and the wait for food was short. To top it off, they served tea with sweet sticks at the end. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the evening.

We went there with a large group of 8 people and they sat us pretty quickly (it was a Monday to be fair). We got tahdig, mast musier, kashke bademjoon, kabab torsh, barg, and mahicheh. They were all extra amazing and the service was outstanding. They have one of the best torsh kababs in Northen america and I liked it extra as I like them on the sour side. Our server was very accomadting and helped us with a surprise birthday we had. Highly recommended for trying phenomenal persian food in sizeable portion. The tea serving was very thorough and traditional.

The environment is perfect. Food is okay, not great. The only thing that you need to keep in mind is that the food kabab, which is a lot for one person, better to order one for two. The waiters won't mention that the portion is too much for one person.

The food was very authentic and ranks close to some of the best kebab I’ve ever had. I highly recommend you get the soup as appetizer because it was my favourite part of the meal, absolutely incredible. Service was professional and friendly. Overall a very good experience Thank you Aynaz

This is a gorgeous restaurant with amazing atmosphere. We tried their kebab combo that were great and very juicy. Our host Sahar is very professional and friendly. Very nice service. Best for families as well. Highly recommended.
