The store is managed by some people who cannot speak English fluently. The prices are way too expensive (resell prices) and I saw they have some knock-offs. Not everything you see there is legit; the space is too small for the amount of merchandise

I dropped by yesterday afternoon at this store to check out their products. The staff member working at the time was completely un-interested in helping me out. He was rather pre-occupied with playing some online game with his buddy on his laptop. I could hear the other guy on the speaker discussing various gameplay moves (in Mandarin). The staff member was dismissive, rude and curt. Turned me right off. Will be spending my money elsewhere. Owner should really look into this issue as I see many others have had similar experiences.

I like the store and all the hype inside it; i brought by almost all my collection from 12/13 in the hopes of consignment and started off to a good start but after taking everything out of my bags and all the number crunching the employee behind the counter said he wouldn't do business with me unless the person that drove me to Essentials who had nothing to do with the sale apologized to him for a bad review. I personally was offended by this since you had nothing to do with the transaction and it goes to show they didn't care for my business, so i had to pack my stuff up and he threatened to call the police if we come back because he didnt apologize. I think it's extremely unprofessional and definitely not how you run a business; if you have personal vendettas keep it to yourself don't let it affect the store and other customers in it. If you can fix the issue with your arrogant staff members this would be a beautiful store that I would frequent weekly with my pay and other items for Consignment and or sale.

Hotbox was better without a doubt The people in the store won’t even talk to you instead they just look at their computers. And half the stuff there isn’t for sale because they deem it to rare and most of the stuff that was overpriced like the OVO raptors Jordan’s selling for 450 there and StockX prices are at 245

Staffs were occupied playing mobile games on phone. They don't greet customers or answer customer questions. They don't care so why let these resellers scam your money. If you have to buy hyped products, spend your $$ elsewhere at least you get the service.

So I tried going to this place a couple weeks ago and wanted to phone ahead but no one would pick up. I took the chance and drove out there only to see a sign on the door that said they stepped out and would be back a 2pm. I waited along with some other people who also wanted to get in for 3 hours until just after 3pm. By that point everyone including myself had given up on them opening up and left. I have since tried calling them on multiple occasions and the call is never answered. I have no idea how they are able to operate a business like this but I would never go back there after the experience I had. I would suggest to anyone thinking of going here that there a much better options out there.

My favourite one in the Six! Great selection and fair price. Nice Staff they know well about street wear. Don't know why some comments said they are selling fake (probably competitors' fake reviews) but my friends and I have been shopping at Essential since 2015 so I know they are pretty legit. We kind of know how to legit check shoes or clothing so we know Essential is a legit guy. We will go there to shop as usual. Keep it up EST!

Good selection especially with new supreme but prices were awful ($180 CAD for a Supreme hat)! The employees didn’t interact with you but they weren’t mean. It was like $400 CAD for a plain Supreme tee shirt... don’t even get me started with the bape items.

All 100% authentic and designer items, shoes and accessories. Very helpful and nice staff. Most items consist of supreme but there are other brands there too. Prices are very reasonable for how popular streetwear is right now, I will definitely be returning soon.

I have been attempting to receive my consigned items that I gave from December 2019. No communication whatsoever about the store and owners. Edit: 11 months later, still no contact or sign of ever reopening or anybody who consigned getting their items. Criminal behaviour.

Essential was probably the first store in Toronto to sell hyped up gear. But now I don't even know if they're even open anymore, they haven't updated their IG in almost a year, their website is down.

Terrible customer service. Maybe let your customers know that you have been closed for a while now and you don’t answer your emails either. Just a small sign on the door of your store saying your closed.
