I've had multiple tattoos done by Edgar and could not be happier with them. Edgar is so talented and precise, and makes sure I am happy with the design before tattooing. Will definitely be returning, and would recommend this place to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

This shop is located in the perfect location! The staff is friendly. The space is super clean and tidy. This is my second time getting work done at this studio and with Abbie. She is so patient and took time to listen to how I wanted my tattoo to look and to draw it out exactly how I wanted it. I felt super comfortable during the session. I also like that there are so many female artists! Definitely a great spot to get your tattoo. Talented artists and great space!

After a lot of research, I got my septum piercing done here about a year ago and I have to say it was the best decision ever! I've read about how septum piercing has a sensitive placement and how many people have issues afterwards when it's not done correctly, so I've done lots of research before booking an appointment. The lady who works as their piercer (I'm sorry, I don't remember her name) was truly a professional in every way. The whole place is really clean in general and she sanitized everything again in front of me. The actual piercing was done fast and smoothly. I didn't experience any pain or discomfort more than what was normal. It was actually way easier than what I prepared myself for, but because I've gotten myself too stressed about it, after she was done, I actually felt sick and fainted while I was trying to go through the payment process. Both the receptionist and my piercer were extremely caring and understanding and helped me till I felt better. My nose healed very quickly! I decided to go back when I wanted to change my septum ring for the first time but since then everything has been very smooth. I really recommend them!!!

The tattoo turned out great and the staff are super friendly. It's the service that sucks (and setting up an appointment). It's very difficult to get a hold of anyone, and they take forever to reply to emails. (which is their primary way to communicate with customers) Even messaging the artists directly (on IG) is pointless because they don't answer. Not to mention they charge $100+ as the starting price for a tattoo (regardless of the size). You're really gonna charge people over $100 for a tiny tattoo?? That's absurd. So if you want a tattoo, save your money. There are other tattoo places nearby that charge $50-$60 (for a small tattoo).

I don't usually post reviews online, but I need to speak about the service here. I booked an appointment a day before via phone to come the next day (a Tuesday) to get an earlobe piercing, everything went smooth and we agreed on the time. When the day came I was literally in front of the store when I got a phone call informing me that the piercer is not going to be available that day and that I should come the day after and we agreed on 6pm since the the store closes at 7pm. The guy I spoke with apologized and offered that he would make sure to give me something complimentary. That day I was working from 10am to 5pm, and after work I came all the way from downtown to north york so I can get my piercing done, and I was on time. The lady at front desk asked me who do I have the appointment with, I tried to explain to her everything since I didn't know who I spoke with before, then she said that I'm not even booked in and that I should set up a new appointment for the day after (Thursday) so I can get my piercing done. I'm a patient guy, so I came back on Thursday so I can get my piercing done in literally 3 minutes I just want to highlight that this location should do better in terms of customer service, setting appointments and making sure that staff are available so customers don't get their time wasted like what happened to me.

Edgar from North York Ink is amazing! He's so good about taking an idea and putting it into a design. I am the least creative person, so I decided to give him creative freedom, and what he came up with is absolutely insane! He met, and surpassed all expectations. I now have a bad b!tch energy arm with a Medusa/Athena half sleeve, and a sentimental arm which includes my dog's paw prints. Part of the paw print tattoo, Edgar was able to complete freehand details to make the print look so real! He is very accommodating and ensures you are comfortable in his chair at all times! ..now time to book my next session!

Have had two tattoos now from Ben at North York Ink. First off the cleanliness and professionalism of this shop is second to none. Couple this with the art that Ben and his team can accomplish, makes this an easy decision when looking for a tattoo shop. Customer for life. Thank you

Great place to get your next tattoo! I've gotten 3 tattoos done here (one inner arm, 1 thigh and then 1 glute that connected to the thigh piece) all of which were done by Ed, he's an amazingly talented artist, super friendly and really takes your wants into consideration when creating your tattoo! The studio itself is very clean, and everyone there is always friendly.

Got tattooed by Michelle here about 2 weeks ago. She was amazing and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time! The rest staff is also very friendly and attentive which made my experience even better. The shop is very clean, easy to get to (both by driving or TTC), and I felt very safe from their COVID protocols.

Excellent piercing service! Having been pierced at different studios in Toronto I can say that Taylor does exceptional work. Knowledgable and friendly staff, clean studio (following Covid protocols) and low pressure environment. Slightly more expensive than some studios but WELL worth the value.

Tatoo was done as expected but I was charged more that the expected. I was given a quotation round 120$ but charger 210$. I have changed the design slightly but I was not told that there is a change in the price for the new design. After Tattooing, I was asked to pay 210$. Its always better if you inform the cost for the tattoo upfront. Customers do not want any surprises at the end.

But for some reason I didn’t get a call back about rescheduling my tattoo appointment. I did call twice, with no prevail.. Taylor removed 2 of my microdermal piercings with such professionalism. No pain, no negativity. My praise go to Taylor and I would recommend Taylor and North York Ink to everyone.

I first came to North York, Inc. a few years ago when I found the account on Instagram and I found one of the artists there, Edgar, and I really loved his work. It started off with a flash piece and then he ended up doing a few custom pieces for me here and there, and at this point most of my tattoos have been done by him. The staff at North York Inc. are always so kind and professional. You feel very welcomed, accommodating and safe, which is so important because the tattooing experience can be a very vulnerable one. Feeling comfortable and taken care of is super important. Ed is not only extremely professional and thorough when it comes to his craft and care of his station but he always does his best to make you feel relaxed, and takes great pride in his work. You’re paying for top quality work that will last you forever. I am a happy and dedicated client for life!

I absolutely love this place. Edgar is amazing. His tattoos have never faded or even needed a retouch. He’s so awesome and he truly did some beautiful cover ups. So talented and so creative

North York Ink has been my go-to tattoo studio since 2016. I've had several tattoos done by Ben, and each one has been exceptional. My favorite is the half sleeve tattoo, a detailed, intricate piece that took around 20 hours to complete. Ben was the mastermind behind the design, involving me in various stages to ensure it was exactly to my liking. I'd rate the experience 10/10.

Been a client for years now and have tried most artists in the shop! I’ve recommended people to NYI who had great experiences also which is always nice to hear. My main tattoo guy is Edgar, who I’ve had the absolute pleasure of getting tattooed multiple times by him. He has always given me such an fun and relaxed experience, feels so comforting during a session plus he’s so accommodating and nice to everyone. Will definitely be back to see him soon! And will always recommend as many people as I can.

5 stars aren’t enough! The shop is super clean, the staff upon entering are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance was just right. With nice music playing in the background, not too loud. The artist who did my tattoo was superb! Made sure I was comfortable. Plus his work is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I love love love my new tattoo!!!! (thank you) One interesting feature is the skylight, and being able to watch the clouds while the calming music played helped. The options for payment and the shop being accommodating to such was super amazing!!!! Highly recommend!

All of the tattoo artists there are super talented but it was my good fortune to be paired with Edgar. Edgar is as talented as he is sweet and kind. He has a gentle touch and his attention to detail is amazing. I usually wear headphones and blast my music to get through tattoos but this time my headphones never left my bag. He is so gentle that before I knew it, he was done. There is SO much talent at North York Ink but going forward, Edgar is the artist for me!! Fantastic experience start to finish! I brought my teenage daughter here with her friends for 2nd lobe piercings. Taylor was professional and efficient. My daughter was a little nervous about the needle, but Taylor was the perfect amount of comforting and supportive of her needs and proactive on making it happen before the panic grew. She was very careful with the piercing placement making sure we were happy. She was amazing. Appointment was easy to make online and we were taken on time. The studio is clean and organized. Care was given to explain the aftercare and make sure we knew how to contact her with questions. I highly recommend Taylor and North York Ink!

I got my ear lobe piercing done by Taylor and she’s amazing! The consultation was informative and straightforward. Then the piercing was done quickly and I barely felt pain afterwards. The initial redness- which was expected actually went away in a couple of hours. Now it’s been three days and everything looks and feels completely normal and great! Considering the healing time expected is 2-3 month I think it went really well. Must’ve been a really clean pierce!

My very first tattoo experience was amazing and a lot of better than expected. Nilab did an amazing and incredible job. She is very attentive, gentle, and super talented. She was making sure I was comfortable during the whole session. The whole tattooing experience was super smooth starting from booking the session, the tattoo design, placement till to the end. She patiently explained about aftercare, how to wash, what to apply, etc. She is very responsive. She replied patiently all my question and giving me suggestion and recommendation through message after I had left the studio. I am so happy with her work and the tattoo looks so great and amazing. I am so glad that i decided to have my first tattoo with Nilab. I will definitely recommend Nilab and can't wait to see you for more tattoos!!!

I got an upper earlobe piercing done by Taylor and she was great. She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable and was very efficient and quick with the whole process. I didn’t feel any pain at all.
