I have used this clinic before and liked the service. However, now, when one try to reach the receptionist or someone - it is impossible, for you can't even leave a message because mail boxes are full - very unprofessional for an health organization supported by our OHIP funds. Now, I decided to book online -virtual- appointments for my family, and guess what? I really couldn't figure out what comes first on their portal - chicken or the egg - you start out booking to establish your account and re-input all the information again and then need to activate the account and then book appointments. I established two accounts and booked virtual appointments to no avail. No one called on the established appointment time and no one can be contacted at the Golden Mile clinic - mind you for all contact the phone number is the same. Overall, I say it has been a terrible experience using their online portal and the process of contacting them for assistance or help. Surely, a for profit health organization can do a better job serving her customers. I hope this organization can bring the necessary changes to serve us better in our community, for we do need an easy accessible walk-in clinic.

As a fellow health care professional I can attest that the level of care and service provided by this clinic does not meet standard of care whatsoever. I was misdiagnosed and had no directions to monitor for my symptoms and when to seek emergency care. If I had not taken the initiative to handle my own care, I am sure I could have died. They've also forgotten to send my prescription for a painkiller for a very severe infection. When I followed up with the clinic that same day, they said Dr Shwe left for the day and there was no way I could get my Rx. I know this place is convenient for many, but I strongly urge you to get your care elsewhere.

If I could post this comment without a star I will do for sure Inethical unwitting receptionist! I called earlier to informed her that I could reach the clinic by 6:30pm tonight with my son as we have to travel for around 30 minutes. She said you can come we may still accept you if we have less patients. But by then we reached the clinic, she said "sorry the clinic is closed for today, you can come tomorrow at 9am". My son didn't mind that he keeps vomitting along our way as long as we get there! that receptionist better said to me on the phone earlier that the best time could be tomorrow morning at 9am as the time limit of accepting walk in patients is almost done for the day. I will for sure understand!

I wish I could give negative stars. My husband and I had to see a doctor regarding a very private issue.we thought that we would need to be seen in person. Dr Gurgus didn't listen at all and proceeded to tell us that he had no idea what it was. I requested some way to alleviate night issues. Immediately he thought I was seeking so there was no help even though required medication would help. Shame on him and the way he humiliated us. Also by default he treated my husband shamefully So in my morning I will contact a real doctor that will listen and help us. A cautionary tale.

Don’t go here. They have a voice message on their call system that if anyone has COVID like symptoms, don’t come to the clinic (understandable). I was quite sick but couldn’t visit them as my symptoms matched with COVID (but I was sure that it wasn’t). Doctor took a telephonic appointment, asked for my symptoms and recommended to take a COVID test and said that will give me a prescription. Sent my prescription late to the pharmacy (probably forgot to write one, had to call thrice to confirm). I asked a friend to collect my prescription and what I got was a nasal spray. A nasal spray!!!! for high fever, sore throat and no congestion. Tired of taking 2 different drug store medicines thrice a day, I gave them a call again to let the doctor know that I took COVID test and I am not positive, receptionist promised a call back within an hour. Almost three hours later, I am calling them again and they are putting my call directly on hold with no answer. I am done.

I'm leaving only a 3 star review because in-person, everyone here seems to be perfectly cordial, and I was in to see a seemingly very nice doctor very quickly. However it seems like once they're done with you, the mask comes off. Short story: I was supposed to be referred to a surgeon after my ultrasound came back in. The doctor gave me no information about to who or when I was going to be referred, just hung up the phone. 3 days pass, and I call them back to finally see what was actually happening behind the curtain. According to the receptionist, supposedly my referral had been sent that day, but as it turns out that was a blatant lie, as the surgeon only just got it while I was on the phone with them. Evidently, they either made a mistake or put it off, and didn't think I would actually call and find out about it. Not impressed.

If I could give less than one star, I would. After being with this clinic since it opened, the level of blame, unprofessional approach and horrible customer service I have experienced with this clinic in the past 5 days is astonishing and horrifying! I am the patient, they're the doctor. But they expect you to be the patient and the doctor and to know how to maneuver a diagnosis process. In patient vs virtual is a joke and give incorrect information. As per previous recent reviews, be very cautious with this place. They do not care about the patient and reception customer service is horrendous. They will blame you for anything. Go anywhere else BUT there!

Been going to this clinic for years. I don't know what's happened but it's gone down hill over the past few years. Gone, is their customer service focus. Three weeks in a row I have tried to get in to see a doctor, each time I phone I'm told they are still taking walk-ins and in the fifteen minutes it takes to get there, they say they're full and have been for a while. To add insult to injury the main receptionist looks at the other and laughs when I get upset. It felt like it was a huge joke to them but leaving work to get there and being turned away is not funny. Entitled, irresponsible, and immature staff.

Went together with my wife for a walk-in after calling in to confirm that the clinic was open and accepting them. Everything worked out great, and the wait time was reasonable. The female doctor we received was patient with both of us and answered any questions we had. No complaints at all, and would definitely visit again, especially considering their long work hours compared to other walk-in clinics.

The service and caring of all the staff are amazing. I have been going to this clinic for many years and I found that their caring is so great. The last time I went with my brother in law who is 84 years. The whole staff showed their excellent customer service and the Dr. Made sure to listen and explained everything to him in a loving way. Thank you so much for your services . My brother in law does not want his family dr any more but he wants to go only to Golden mile because he trusts the doctor there

I would be happy if there was something less than a star or negative rating, The worst experience ever I had because of the unprofessional receptionist who doesn’t know her job. She made me wait for more than 2 hours and at the end she asked me to pay more than $150 (way expensive for me) for a doctor to sign which doesn’t make any sense to me. If I knew these charges before hand I wouldn’t waste my time. The funny and frustrating part is try calling them when you are in the clinic, they will place you on hold before even you speak anything and they pretend as if they are busy working on the computer despite no one would be around. This the best experience to see the unprofessionalism.

Horrible experience! I recently became a first time mom and my baby and I were accepted as a patient of Dr. Bordman’s. However due to having contracted Covid and having extenuating circumstances with my baby, I had to reschedule my appointment twice and arrived late to my last appointment. I tried to call to inquire about the time of the appointment and the receptionist Sana left me on hold for 30 minutes on purpose. When I arrived at the office I was rudely informed that my baby and I would no longer be accepted as patients of Dr. Bordman. What is terribly unfair and horrible about this situation is that I was never advised prior to that moment of their policies or given any notice whatsoever, which I think is absolutely necessary in a healthcare environment. All I have to say is stay away from those two.

The most efficient walk in clinic I've ever been to. Arrived just minutes before they opened on a Sunday. There was a medium sized line of about 20 ppl and they registered everyone within 10 min and I was seen in about 1 hour. Doctor even told me where I could get my tests done on a Sunday and let me know she would check it the next day on her day off. Perfect experience. I don't have children but receptionists were handing out activity books to all children in the waiting room - very nice touch .

My visit to this clinic was nothing short of a disaster. I made the effort to come in on a Saturday morning, expecting it to open at 9 am, but the doctors didn't make an appearance until a mind-boggling 9.30 am. And as if that weren't enough, the receptionist's attitude was astoundingly rude. It was a maddening, chaotic, and utterly infuriating experience.

Reception staff are wonderful. Paediatric Drs for my daughter are wonderful. Today I was seen by an absolute joke of a Dr wearing camo… no Drs coat and walking around with music playing from his pocket. Horrible bedside manner. Left music on during my check up and was rude when I tried to ask questions. He shouldn’t be practicing anymore. I just left there and I am writing this review while I wait at another Drs office to get the care and checkup I need and deserve.

I've always had great experiences at this clinic- fast, efficient and respectful - both doctors and reception staff. It's always busy so they clearly are well liked. I'd recommend visiting this clinic is you need a walk in.

This clinic is a joke. Listen to the reviews and don’t waste your time like I did. I got to meet the doctor wearing a camo shirt instead of actual doctors attire but besides that he showed complete lack of care. As I started telling him my concerns he asked me how many things was I coming here for in a rude way. Left to take a personal phone call and asked me to close the door for him. Wouldn’t even bother helping me he printed a sheet and sent me on my way. Useless. Including the receptionists who I tried to complain to but they didn’t care. I’ll be calling some sort of govt officials regardng this place. An absolute waste of time

This isn’t a clinic, this is business. You aren’t a patient, you’re a customer. THEY DON’T ACCEPT WALK-IN IN A WALK-IN CLINIC. The receptionist was so rude. She kept me on hold for minutes while I was looking her through the door. Later she responds and says I need appointment to see a doctor or can go to another clinic. Wait!!! Am I here to buy a product? And why did you guys name it as a walk-in clinic? None of your website or google says that we need appointment until we come there. MANAGEMENT this is a HOSPITAL, don’t treat us like your customers.

There were a lot of people when we arrived before it opened. But we came for 855am and was back in the car by 10 am. Unbelievably fast for a walk in clinic for children. The doctor was very kind and they had strict rules about taking a number and if you miss it then you miss your appointment but I think that’s what makes everything move so quickly.

The worst clinic in Scarborough, I wish I could gave zero star specifically to the front desk staff, RON with no respect to patients, they have zero respect with each other to communicate and to us as patients. My son is only 6 years old and waited over time to see the Dr. Who requested to see him in person from over the phone appointment to in person the next day. They provide no mask and don’t respect your time to let you know their mask policy before coming into the clinic. I’m sure they’ll bring a change into the communication policy soon because it’s as easy as 1,2,3. RESPECT AND COMMUNICATION IS KEY TO WORK IN HELATH CARE.

Really great walk-in clinic! The wait times are usually 30mins to an hour, which I find goes super fast. (They actually quote the time with accuracy, unlike most walk ins). The hours are great and better than any other clinic in the GTA. The doctors and front desk staff are friendly and contact you promptly for any future treatment plan/results. There was one nurse that was unnecessarily rude but she probably just had a long day. Highly recommend this walk in clinic!!

Went on a Saturday because I was sick. Was very busy. Receptionist told me, I would be waiting atleast an hour before I could see the doctor. All considered, I was done quickly and the staff was great. Can't beat it, if you can't see your regular doctor!

Golden Mile Walk in clinic is very clean. The wait maybe 15 minutes before to see a doctor. The service is very good 👍 fast and doctors who work there are very understanding and make their patient's comfortable. Myself I have been there couple of times. I really liked it. I wouldn't mind going back if I ever needed to see the doctor. One of the best walk in clinic.

For everyone complaining about waiting time the reception gives you a very accurate time, it's a mall and you can go walk around, they told us an hour and we came 50 minutes later and in 10 minutes we were in. As for people complaining about pills for me this is the first time where I go in and told the doctor what the issue was (gout) he had a quick look to confirm and prescribed me the right medicine from the start unlike most walk ins where they start you on the lowest dose to see how you feel then you have to come back if it doesn't work. Amazing service and straight to the point

I live right across the street from this clinic so i go when i need to. Most of the reviews are correct, the receptionist are very rude and during the PANDEMIC yes you had to wait outside the clinic. However the doctors there have been kind and helpful each time I've gone. Maybe they need a change in reception

This walk in is decent and quick! Some of the doctors don't really care for you here... I do understand it is a walk in but again, they are DOCTORS. Some of them actually care for you while others just give you a prescription to pick up. I wish some of them cared just a little more. Clean environment and wait time is not long as I expected it to be.

I went to this "walk-in clinic" at 2 pm today only to learn from a sign on the door you need to make an appointment. Two older ladies showed up only to learn the same. While on hold standing at the doors a mother and child showed up who apparently had an appointments at which point they allowed the 2 older ladies in after taking their temperatures. I tried to follow but was denied when asked if I had an appointment. I then realized I was the only Caucasian there...apparently if you are white you need an appointment anyone else come as you please.

Around 2 weeks ago I visited to this clinic as I had really bad flu and fever. I had to wait for an hour finally got to see the doctor. Doctor checked my fever and I told him it’s been over 2 weeks since im sick. Covid test was negative. Doctor said he is not going to give me any medication or any antibiotics. I came home and next day my situation start getting worse and end up in emergency. Never ever go to this walk in clinic. Just a waste of time and these doctors are just a joke

Ate peanut butter today (which I've never had an allergy to) and my lip swelled up. Showed the doctor and told him I've been breaking out in hives all over my body for the last 6 weeks, when I'm NOT eating nuts and showed him pics. I asked if he could refer me to an allergist and he was down right belligerent. He said "You don't need to see an allergist, you know what the problem is, you're allergic to nuts!" Did not prescribe an epi pen. Just three allergy pills.

The 3+ reviews already says enough about this clinic . I’ve had 2 experiences where once the doctor has been very rude to me for no reason . I assume it was her last patient and had to remove all her stress on me .Secondly I decided to give this clinic another try and I try booking an appointment. They are so irresponsible and take information wrong even if u specify 2wice . I gave them 2 more calls to correct it and make sure my appointment is on time despite confusions. But they simply won’t reply if ill be seeing a doctor or not . Totally won’t recommend wasting my time again here .

The Receptionist was rude, the doctor told me that there was no blood in the urine or whatsoever and everything was ok. Then I asked the receptionist an email of my result because I always keep record of all my lab test. Then the result showed showed that my urine specimen was not suitable for chemical urine test because of its “age”. But when I had the conversation with one of their doctors , the doctor told me that there is no gross hematuria, no anything, everything was normal. How can he say it is all normal when there is part of the specimen that was left unchecked because the specimen was no longer fit for chemical test. I am not going back to this clinic. NOT RECOMMENDED!

NOTE: My two small children and I waited over an hour and a half in the clinic's waiting room on Saturday morning with about 30+ other sick people because my little one had a bit of pink eye. By some small miracle, we managed to get out without picking up any new infections. Due to an accident, we ended up spilling the last two days of my 3/o's eye drops and needed a small refill. Today is Thursday and there is currently an ice storm outside, school buses are being cancelled, dangerous driving warnings, winter advisory, etc. Children's hospitals are also currently overflowing and in chaos due to RSV, the flu, and covid. This is what happened when I called the clinic this morning: Clinic: We offer phone appointments. Me: Do you have any phone appointments left for today? We were in there five days ago. My 3 y/o was given seven days of antibiotics for a bit of an eye infection, but the cat got a hold of the bottle so we need a new prescription for another two days. Clinic: You have to come in for that. Me: In the middle of an ice storm storm advisory? And with the hospitals the way they are, I don't want my 3 y/o picking up something more serious from your waiting room when she just has a minor eye infection and she was just there five days ago. Clinic: No, you have to come in for that. So yeah, not going back here.

Horrible service, the last 3 times I have gone to this clinic, I always got we are full, there is no doctor. I went 4 hours before closure and asked for my 3yr with fever of 39degrees to be seen and they said there is no doctor. I was horrified. Either these doctors dont want to see patients because they are scared of covid or there is no doctor at all at this clinic and they keep it open just because. After I asked what would they do if their own son was in that condition, that's when they offered a virtual appointment with a doctor but I never got a call. They are liars and would not recommend. All they say is lies just to send patients away.

My daughter is only 8 months old, I wanted the doctor to see her, I was there at 12:00 pm and waited until 4 pm and still no doctor to check her. The staff is very inconsiderate and rude. They would not give you an exact time frame as to when you could see the doctor. it’s really hard to be waiting inside the clinic and risk getting sick, especially with the covid and flu that is going on right now. I would say find another office and avoid coming here. Worst place ever.

I visited just today morning and met the worst doctor Fonberg Eric. As I was trying to explain my problem, he was rude to me and said he doesnot have time to listen to my problems. Also, he was like "it is a busy day today, i can not give you time to listen to your problem". He didnt even hear me out. Extremely rude and unprofessional doctor. These types of doctor license must be cancelled. It was my first horrible medical experience.

Medical receptionist need to learn the professional attitude and customer services. If this clinic is accountable for walk-in appointments there should not be a registration process. They don't answer the phone therefore information was not clear. We as patients reserve the rights to get respect athe receive the unprofessional, disrespectful, and unethical verbal comments. We reserve the rights to get respect too.

I was already skeptical about coming here but considering my situation and distance from home, I decided to anyway. The only good part was that my turn came within 1 hour. The doctor seemed like he didn't care at all. As I am talking to him, he takes a phone call for a good 4 minutes. Following the phone call, does not follow up with what I was saying and moves on. And again as I am talking, he just gets up and leaves. At a point he just tells me there's nothing he can do for me. Afterwards he goes to his assistant, starts talking to her in Arabic, by this tone and body language I could tell he was complaining about me. While I don't mind them talking in another language I was just done with the whole clinic by then. I'd rather spend 5 hours and go to a more professional clinic than come here again.

Spent 20 minutes on hold while driving to the clinic, arrived to find the male receptionist sitting back on his seat chating with a co-worker (I was still on hold) I wanted to ask if they were still accepting patients at 6pm, as that's what the clinic advised. I was told in person that sorry, too bad so sad, were not accepting anyone more today. I guess it's possible he was busy right up until I arrived, anythings possible as they say. Would have saved me some time, I ended up seeing an online doctor in minutes. All the doctors at Golden Mile are spectacular and I've always received great service from them, 5 stars for them.

  • 3/5 Caroline F. 9 months ago on Google
Definitely try to be there 15 minutes before they open to avoid long wait times. I have at times waited 2+ hours. Doctors try their best to see you, but you often sort of feel rushed out the door which I suppose is the experience for walk ins all throughout the city. Okay if you're just looking for a quick prescription or testing would not recommend going here long term for care, try to find a family doctor instead.

This clinic deserves 0 stars. I booked a phone consultation yesterday for skin irritation that I’ve been suffering from for the past two days. I waited and waited but no one called me so I called them back today and spoke to a male receptionist who apologized for this and said he’ll have a doctor call me at 11am. I waited until 1:30pm and then called them back and spoke to a female receptionist was lied and said the doctor called me twice today and once yesterday. She said maybe your phone is blocking private numbers, which is complete BS because l’m fully aware of my phone setting and even doubled checked my setting. I gave her my landline number and she said she’ll have the doctor call me in an hour, but no one ever called me. I can’t believe how UNPROFESSIONAL and UNETHICAL this walk-in is. I was told the doctor on duty was Dr. James Ferlisi. Complete disgrace to all the doctors. My irritation got really bad and I might need to go in to the ER, which was what I’ve been trying to avoid in the first place. Please don’t mess with people during these vulnerable times and get your S*** straight.

I was given an appointment today after a phone consultation and blood work yesterday, only to find out at the door, that the appointment they gave me wasn't booked, and I was sent home being offered a phone consultation instead. When arriving at the clinic I called at least 3 times and was put on hold. After knocking at the door, they told me that I need to call them. I could observe from the door that staff was working on computers/ photocopiers and putting phone calls on hold (in other words these were tasks that could have been carried out at another time). I have to say that there are some excellent doctors working at this clinic, but reception team's performance today can be best described as disorganized, slow, and inefficient, as in this occasion, they were unable to 1) book an appointment in the system while they told me over the phone that they did, 2) communicate with clients in a friendly manner, 3) develop a process to streamline their work tasks (e.g. one person answers phones, another deals with patients in person, third does paperwork etc). Very disappointed.
