I recently dined at Jack Astor’s at Don Mills and it exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant ambiance set the tone for a memorable experience. The menu offered a delightful array of dishes, each crafted with attention to detail and bursting with flavor. The standout feature, however, was the impeccable service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and eager to accommodate any dietary preferences. Their recommendations were spot-on, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal.

Good experience. Service was friendly and fast. Food was okay, portions are decent but not large. Prices are very high. Gets crowded and loud quickly. Huge tvs so that is a plus. Clean bathrooms. Parking can be difficult as it is shared with other Shops at Don Mills restaurants and stores.

Classic! I never realized how much of a family restaurant this place was until I saw each table with a newborn or toddler 😳 I went there for a Sunday evening date, we order the bruschetta for appetizer. Our mains were the chicken bow tie pasta 🍝 + 11oz steak🥩. I normally get the pasta as us; but this time I added bacon 🥓 and mushrooms 🍄 which wad a huge mistake because the bacon made it taste too salty. The 11oz steak was done medium well and tasted very delicious. For sides it came with a baked potato 🥔 and green peas. Finally for dessert we had a brownie 🍫. The food is always stellar here. Great service and fun friend atmosphere 😀

Uber Eats Delivery 2 for 1 promo wasn’t bad at all. Food was fresh and packaged properly. Pasta could’ve tasted a bit better but it wasn’t awful. Will most likely try some of their other items one day instead

We sat on the patio on what of the hottest days this May. Our sever was friendly and attentive. The food was decent, but nothing special- which is what we expected. The Caesar salad was an enormous portion. The veggies were fresh, but the dressing was bland and could have used more garlic. The chicken was bland, but cooked perfectly. My fiend had a veggie burger and fries and enjoyed them well enough.

Service was great, especially given how big our group was. Our waitress was very attentive and service was great. However, sadly food wasn't so much- I ordered Tuna Poke Bowl which sounded very interesting on the paper. But it wasn't their strong suit for sure. Tuna didn't taste fresh which is very disappointing considering the price for the dish and the fact that it was meant to be the focus of the dish. My recommendation would be not risking it and ordering pub style food.

This location is great especially the patio, I mostly like their appetizers, drinks and service, the main dishes has not been a success to me in many Jack Astor’s locations. I tried the burger this time, it was not good at all, it has a bad taste and no spices in it, very plain. Would still go again regardless.

Nice place to meet. Joined a group of friends for lunch. Ordered chicken fingers with a side Cesar Salad. It was prepared well, the portion size was perfect (although it maybe smaller compared a couple years ago). The draft beer was almost ten dollars, the choice on tap was respectable. Conversation was great as the music was not loud. For a large group, servers were very responsive and polite. Food arrived quick as well.

Food was 5/5 across the board. The burgers were especially excellent. Wraps were delicious. Wings were 3.5/5 but everything else was so good that I'm still giving 5 out of 5 overall.

Restaurant closed to my workplace! The restaurant is spacious and lots of tv ( playing football game 🏈 ) if you want to watch events it’s definitely good option! We came at 5 something, there was no wait to get the table! The table started filling up 6-7pm. Good good portions and taste good 👅 must try truffle fries 🍟 surprisingly there r arcade for free

Really disappointed.. I went few times this location wasn't like that. But after COVI19, reopen.so we went Saturday night July 24.. I ordered steak well done, but I didn't get it. Bowl of salad with chicken $24.? Unbelievable. Servers are rush to go home.. not offering any desert after dinner. Servers don't want to come to table.. ignore us..

Have gone to this Jacks many times after work, on Friday/Saturday nights. The vibe, drinks, food and service are always great. My qualm here is that they don’t have any drink or food happy hour specials. Regardless the Chicken Fingers is what keeps bringing me back, hands down they are my favourite anywhere. Recently, I went on a Sunday. Got Fingers with the medium sauce on the side and blue cheese dip, dipping regularly in both unreal combo - who knew this combination would be so good? Highly recommend!

🌸 Food is good and it was served fresh. 🌸 Patio waiting time is about 20 minutes plus and that was Saturday afternoon around 3:00 pm. 🌸 Their staffs are superfriendly too.

The vibe is good and they have a good set of songs which they play. Food is great too. The only reason i gave 4 star is because at first hour or 2 the waiter/waitress kept us in check and served everything fast but then it slowed down very much. Overall loved it since it was my first.

Food was delicious! Service was very kind. Our server Bronson was great in giving us meal suggestions and being patient as we took so long to order. Even when the restaurant started getting really busy, Bronson still made efforts to check in on us and ensure our experience was best. Music and atmosphere was good, the restaurant would be ideal for dates to family outings. Great spot, can't go wrong with Jack's!

We were a table of 7 and ordered a bunch of appetizers to share, mains and then desserts. The food were all freshly prepared, tasted pretty good and the service was great. The least favourite item we had was the buffalo and honey garlic wings. The buffalo sauce didn’t taste much of franks hot sauce or was vinegary. The honey garlic wings were too sweet, not enough garlic and wasn’t well balanced. Otherwise, the rest of the items we ordered were great and everyone had a great time!

We ordered buffalo chicken sandwich and truffle mushroom cheeseburger. Fries were fresh and hot.service was great. Their Cocktails are okay.

I haven't been to Jack Astors in a long time. The menu is much smaller and the prices are higher. In this economy, I think this is normal now. I had the Asiago chicken bow ties and added bacon and mushroom to it. There's a lot of chicken in the plate. I would have liked more bow ties. It took awhile to take our order though the food came quickly. It was semi busy for a Tuesday night. Nice looking restaurant with lots of big screens everywhere. It's a great venue to hang out with friends and family. Saw quite a few families with young children.

My friend and I had lunch here. First time here and World Cup football match was on, it was packed full. Interestingly, that didn’t impact the quality of service. Sophy attended to us, warm beautiful lady that wrote her name on a sheet so we cal holler anytime. Food was great and I loved the atmosphere. Great place to hang out with friends, family or coworkers. I’ll visit again with my kids.

When I arrived it was extremely busy, but I had a reservation and I was seated immediately. My server was very friendly and attentive. Only down side was they couldn’t make my drink order of a dirty martini because they didn’t have olives and their sweet potato fries were not cooked enough. Other than that it was a good night.

I enjoyed my dinner here. The garlic bread is not the same as it used to 8yrs ago, but it's still ok. It used to be free though.

Definitely one of the better Jacks I've been to. We had a very personable waiter who had the same dry humor as I did which made it even better. Drinks were made well and the food was even better. I'd drive out of my way to go back to this one.

I had a fantastic experience at this location. I came in with husband and two sons who are a bit younger on Saturday Feb 10. I was nervous about the atmosphere being too loud, but they love the chicken fingers! One of the chicken fingers came out with fries that were soggy and a bit cold, which my son, who is super fussy, refused to eat. I raised it to our waitress, and in 5 minutes the manager came over. He was very accommodating and heard us out before sending our plate back right away. We got a fresh plate of fingers and hot crispy fries and the manager, Said, came back to check on us. I thought it was really sweet, especially since my youngest has trouble with food. This is how all managers at restaurants should treat customers - above and beyond.

Good, efficient service, our server had an engaging personality as well. Ordered the guacamole appetizers and I had a burger, very good and the other dinners were presented well and looked good. We were comfortable in terms of seating and distance from others, only comment is always too loud for my liking.

Went 4 days ago , with family for my birthday dinner. I Got the fingers n fries, chicken was fresh n hot, fries were Luke warm at best, threw off my meal, didn't eat, chose not to complain, pkd it to go. Both servers were great n pleasant, but they knew something was off as the other 2 at my table had consumed their meals completely. Nice place tho! I'd try it again!

Never again. Ordered the Thai Coconut Curry Bowl. I attached photos below, I'm not sure how that rice made it from the pot to the bowl. No quality control I suppose.... The majority of the bowl was rice and the lime given was dry. My boyfriend got the chicken wings and repeated many times how poor quality they were.

Nice seating but I’d not recommend the food and in particular their plant based options. I was informed by the staff that the Pad Thai isn’t great so ordered a Mexican bowl on their recommendation. The photo speaks for itself. Appreciate that the order was promptly replaced with truffle fries, but those too were soft and meh.

I haven't gone anywhere or ordered food in so long I completely forgot how good the food is here. Not only did the food arrive hot but the presentation was great. Packaged nicely and nothing was squished or out of place. We got the nachos, wings, calamari and garlic bread. It was so good the next week we ordered wings, lobster and crab dip, a burger and garlic bread again.... the garlic bread is sooooo good. One of the best parts is you can place your order for delivery directly from the website!

Awesome visit! Sarah, our server was amazing! Very funny! Good was great. Pan bread as always, salmon rice bowl was delicious!!! And the birthday cake.... yum!

Good quality food however quite pricy for pub fare. Love sitting on the patio in the summer. They have a good team approach to service. Expect to pay around $40+ a person for food and two drinks.

Good vibes, staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. Ordered just starters (which was good), so can't say much about the other dishes. You get certain percentage off when you download their rewards app. Best part is you can pick music via the app so you can listen to your favorite song and make the experience better. Definitely recommend this place.

I only stopped here for a quick drink but the staff are nice and I just love the interior design. They have a wall with 12 symbols from drum kits. They have a rack with old school "ghetto blasters" and the lights around the bar have symbols for shades. They also have Ms Pad Man and Pac Man games!

Our server Mathew was very pleasant and helpful with all of our menu questions. He also helped my daughter make an alternate selection which she loved. It was my birthday and sadly my brownie was hard as a rock so it got sent back with a laugh but I was disappointed. Otherwise, everything was tasty and we will come back.

Chicken strips are good. Didn't like the garlic fries that much but the dip which they give is good. This place is good for a quick beer and snack.

One of the most consistent restaurants for pub/ bar food. Great atmosphere to bring family and or friends. Large screens to enjoy the game or a family area to enjoy a dinner. Staff and very friendly and known how to joke around which is a plus during covid times. Food was good, drinks were tasty. Social distancing measures in effect.

The customer service was worst and we waited for Each order around 30 minutes.This restaurant doesn't have enough waitresses .they brought couple times wrong order for us,,very very bad food, the steak that they serve was without any good side dish. And the taste of the meat was very bad. It was horrible and I never like to be there again .

Food and service was phenomenal! Drinks were excellent as well, was a perfect dinner for a night out with family. It is evident that the servers are extremely patient and caring when it comes to the quality of service and sending dishes out, I believe our servers name was Alex who was an absolutely amazing server. My first time dining here. We had the most friendly and attentive server that made our dining experience truly wonderful. The food was very tasty and the drinks were delicious. The environment was clean and spacious. Loved the decor too. I would definitely recommend the Thai curry bowl. And those nachos were very fresh. Have the caesar too...it will not disappoint!

A big shout out to the management of this location, and the server who served us in the patio “Rachel”. The service in this location is absolutely amazing!! Went for dinner on Wednesday (Oct 06), One of the Propane heaters was out of service and the manager himself was spending so much time to find us a new one. He was checking all fhe heaters himself and really trying his best to make us feel at home! I was there with my 8-month-old baby and It was really important for me to see how he is trying to make us feel warm and cozy! Honestly, haven’t seen such a great service for a long time! Thank you to the manager of this location and the great team who are working with him!

Nice and polite people... food good as I expected. We were advised about the 🐝 (to sit outside) which is true, but in the end was okay. Chef bring ur food. :)

I had the pleasure of speaking with Kevin at first who recommended us the Vizzy drinks, then I spoke with Thomas later in the evening when ordering food and he recommended the chicken parm. Both the drinks and food were great, but what was exceptional was their hospitality and kindness. They were both such humble, genuine individuals who made my wife and I feel like we were guests at their own home. Sincerely, I haven't had such an amazing experience within any business in a long time. A big thank you to Jack's at Shops for hiring such amazing staff. These guys make your place shine bright. Please give them a HUGE shout out!!
