👍👍 As girly as I may be, I learned that I can be girly but be one that can defend myself. Going on my annual mission trips, I realize the reason why children, girls, and women are being sexually abused and becoming victims of human trafficking is because they don't know how to defend themselves. Statis... People often mention Chun, Wing, Sifu, learn, students, time, teacher, class, school, great,

As girly as I may be, I learned that I can be girly but be one that can defend myself. Going on my annual mission trips, I realize the reason why children, girls, and women are being sexually abused and becoming victims of human trafficking is because they don't know how to defend themselves. Statistics says, 4 out 5 women have either been molested, raped, sexually abused or a victim at least once in their lifetime. Many women do not know how to react when they are being abused and just froze. Many women do fight back but not in an effective way. 3 years ago, I took Wing Chun for 2 class then gave up because I had no bigger purpose than to learn for fun. But now, even though I don't have much time, I have decide to take Wing Chun again. This time I have a purpose. That is for Mission trip 2019, I will show Wing Chun to the girls in the poor villages and my OBV girls. I want to show them how to protect and defend themselves. So they will never be vulnerable to despicable people who uses them as sex slaves. Su Phu Sonny Le is the most patient and detailed teacher I have meet by far. High recommended. Class price is very reasonable. You can pay monthly or by class. Wing Chun is like learning how to swim. You may think you don't need but better to know it then to drown

Have been taking lessons for a bit over 2 years now. And just started with weapons. I absolutely love the wing Chun system. And find it extremely beneficial that my Sifu takes his time to watch each of his students individually to see where they are struggling/or are missing understanding to the movements we are perfecting. Always learning something new and it always leaves me wanting more!

Honestly, Sifu Sonny Lee is an amazing teacher. He knows how to communicate with his students and makes the practice of this Wing Chun so smooth yet, with reasonable complexity you feel challenged enough to pursue more of it, to learn more and actually hope to master such a martial art. You realize that within enough motivation, your self improvement in the practice, produces noticeable results. Plus with the many other students you feel welcomed and in a pretty chill and fun learning environment, like a martial arts family.

My boys has been taken Wing Chun Kung-fu classes with Sifu Lee for almost 4years now. He is very professional, Punctual , Patient , Respectful and so good with the kids. The level of discipline in this school cannot be understated, it translates beyond Martial Arts. I strongly recommend this Martial Arts school to parents who want their kids to learn mental focus, discipline and self defense.

I just started my journey into Wing Chun a few months ago and I have found the experience stupendous with Sifu Sonny Le. I was initially worried about getting the right type of training, after a few months in I know I made the right choice going with Sifu Sonny Le at North York Wing Chun. He's kind, patient and is very meticulous. Truly a great Sifu and a man of character. I also, went for a drop in class and found the senior students to be very helpful and instructive. It was like a team environment for all levels new to experienced. Would definitely recommend North York Wing Chun to anyone looking to learn traditional and authentic Wing Chun.

I've been going to this martial arts school for four months, and it's been a great experience. Sifu Sonny Le (Master) is a fantastic teacher who is knowledgable, skilled, and dedicated. My skills have significantly improved as a result of the interesting and well-structured sessions. The encouraging environment fosters teamwork and personal development. For anyone wishing to begin their martial arts training, I heartily suggest this school.

Our son loves going to his kung fu class. He takes pride of what he learns and eager to learn new moves. Sifu Le is an awesome teacher. He makes sure that the kids learn the proper forms. His daughter is a great addition to help younger kids as they can relate to her. She will definitely be a great teacher when the time comes. I highly recommend this school if you want to learn Wing Chun Kung Fu of all ages (kids and adults).

As a student of Sifu Le of almost six years, I can honestly say I’ll continue to practice the art of kung fu for the rest of my life. The wealth of knowledge that has been demonstrated in my time at North York Wing Chun, has brought me closer to my personal goals in a way that far surpassed my expectations. If you’re looking for an experienced and patient teacher, who is eager to explain and demonstrate practical applications than look no further. You won’t find any “mysticism” or lengthy exposition that distracts from the reason you’ve come to learn in the first place. Sifu Le is a teacher who keeps his finger on the pulse, trains shoulder to shoulder with his students and isn’t afraid of being questioned. In fact he encourages his students to ask why, because he’s a teacher who wants his students to understand, learn and grow. Authenticity and transparency is how I would describe the methods of teaching at NYWC not only for the hand to hand training but the tutelage of weaponry training is nothing short of spectacular.

This is a school for serious students who want to understand Wing Chun in depth. Sifu Le understands the relationship amongst theory, form and application and both explains and demonstrates very effectively. Because of the nature of the art it is effective regardless of your levels of fitness or strength. Of all of the different martial arts I have studied over my 72 years, I find myself most at home with this one. As a bonus it is neat to watch the IpMan movies and have some understanding of what he is doing.

One of the better schools for Wing Chun/Kung fu in the GTA, highly recommend to try it out yourself. Sifu Sonny Le, the master himself teaches the classes, and people with different backgrounds are all welcome. Classes are fun and interactive, Sifu makes sure you understand the essence of every move in the Wing Chun forms, so that you can apply to real life scenarios. The senior students are also a great bunch to learn from.

Just started learning from Shifu Le and so far it has been incredible. The analogies he uses to teach the concepts are really digestible and easy to understand. He is very patient and willing to explain in-depth about the practical use of the concepts he teaches, it is inspiring. Would recommend to anyone and everyone who has an interest in the art.

Master Sonny has a great pedagogy and teach as well kung-fu to kids than wing-chun for adults. You get to learn also multiple traditional weapons. I really enjoy training at the same time as my kids.

Fantastic place to learn martial arts and self-defence! Sifu Le is a wonderful teacher who takes his time with each of his students. He knows exactly how to best instruct each person regardless of their age or skill level. The other students are also great to be around. It's an amazing environment where you feel welcomed and encouraged from the first day.

I've been learning Wing-Chun here for 4 months with Sifu Lee, and I'm enjoying being here a lot. He is a very professional Kung-fu trainer and a very kind and humorous teacher. It's a great place for all people, especially for those who wish to get serious training with a lot of real-fight techniques engaged. The class always focuses on techniques and street-fight application, which make the training extremely practical and helpful for people who are passionate. If you have some previous experiences, you could possibly find some strong fighters here and gain further improvements through tense and professional unique practices. And for people like me who didn't have a lot of experiences, it's also beneficial because it's starts from basic and go straight forward to real-fight but not performance at all.

As jeet kune do practitioner I found shifu very friendly, and very focused on teaching His experience (everyday practice) speaks for itself and awards of his students could stand out in small museum by now. Very quickly, during private lesson he understood that I wanted light sparring and offered it before I asked. I been to North York Wing Chun maybe 12 months over ten years and can’t say anything else, but good about it.
