I had a great experience at Thornhill Community Center. The facilities are excellent, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside is that there's often a waiting list to access some of the services. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars.

I recently visited the community center in Markham, and I must say it left a positive impression on me. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The fitness center was well-equipped, and the variety of classes available was impressive, catering to all fitness levels and interests. The community center also hosted various events and programs, making it a hub for local residents. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast, a parent looking for family activities, or simply seeking a place to connect with others in the community, this community center exceeds expectations.

It’s an older building but well maintained. It has 2 ice rinks with plenty of seating, a library, a seniors centre, several activity rooms and it houses a Cat Adoption and Education Centre.

A quiet community centre for different kinds of activities for children and adults. A real community setting that’s always welcoming to everyone. Located at the intersections of Bayview Avenue and John Street

Took a high five course here, facilities super clean, directional signage for entrance and exiting in place. Was greeting by a nice person and she showed me where I needed to be after checking my credentials. Super pleasant would do more courses here

This is a great community center, we go there mainky for skating. They do have 2 ice rinks, a library, meeting rooms that you can rent for parties and 2 small gyms for squash. There is a warm swimming pool great for babies and gym on the other side. There is also a fitness gym there too. Great amenities in an all in one location.

Went for the Comic Com that was held, the gym space could have been better arranged but considering free admission can't complain overly much. The place is fully accessible from the areas i access in my chair, but the density of the ppl in the area i am sure was it within the health n safety guidelines when I could at times hardly move my chair. But all in all a good experience n I can see why others like the venue for events and stuff as it is designed for accessibility in mind (though the capted ramp proved harder for me to navigate one my own n needed a little helping hand to get up it (its steeper then it feels it should be).

Very nice and clean community centre. It has plenty of time slots for badminton programs. However, you need to pre-register and prepay for the whole season.

Nice building and up to date arena just make sure you eat something and are hydrated before going in as they do not allow you to bring out food or drinks in. So if you're inside for over two hours with a mask dont expect to quench your parched throat with a coffee or water from a reusable bottle.

Why is it only open from 8 to 5 pm and closed on weekends? With the Garnett Williams community centre closed for another year, this one's hours should be extended at the very least to serve the community.

I mean what Community Centre? All I see are a bunch of signs for lunatic sheep to stand on and a building that is closed for a scamdemic. This is a city of Markham facility so it goes along with the other ‘BS’ propaganda signs all over especially the one that says to ‘book a workout outside safely’.

Great arean. Always being updated. Two rinks with ample seating on both sides. Tons of parking. Ice and dressing rooms always in great shape. Library in same building.

Very nice community centre, went for Comic-Con and explored a little bit, there is a library where you can borrow video games, almost all Xbox games though. There is also a place where you can adopt cats, very nice!

It was so nice to play at my old barn last week. So many great memories from the 2001-02 Thornhill Rattlers championship team! So, nice to be able to use my old dressing room too (with the updated mahogany wood stalls).

Good community center with many interesting programs. We regular visit this place for swimming program (kids below 6y.o.) as pool is tiny and suitable for adults.

Staff in the library and the reception was very helpful and accommodating to getting new library card and registering for the recreation programs. Place was very clean and tidy on a busy Saturday afternoon.

Fantastic centre for families and seniors. Markham provides a lot of classes / clubs here. Skating rink, fitness center, activities rooms, Library and friendly people. This is what "community" is. It is an older facility and it would be nice for some upgrades here but it's well maintained, so overall it's a good place to be.

Should really be known as Thornhill hockey center where you can get those little purple and blue gum things out of those dispensers that every hockey arena has. You know, the one that fast like your chewing plastic 20 second later.

A great and amazing community center that would suit any community member, services from A to Z. From Gym, library, skating rings for many available activities to cat adoption and senior services . Been using this place for a decade by now, a solid A+ from me
