Every time I come to this pharmacy, I think about why there are no 0 stars in Google Maps reviews. Because my experience at this pharmacy always makes me sad. I always have to wait much longer than they specified. The same thing happened again today. Reading other reviews, it seems that other consumers are also having a very unpleasant experience. And surprisingly, the customer center of Shoppers Drug Mart seems to be aware of these complaints from consumers. The customer center is commenting that they are sorry for the reviews of these consumers, saying that customers are the top priority, again and again. I wonder why the service at this pharmacy is not improving.

Worst beauty department, their employees just want to stand around without talking and killing time. Not even one employee asking whether I need help or whether everything is ok, even though no other customer is around. Not sure if they're exist because I'm a male and shopping in beauty department. Purchased $360 worth of skin products and the beauty department cashier not even offering any sample. I rather buy online instead than looking at these people that just want to collect paycheque without doing any work. The manager obviously doesn't care either, the facts that this department got so many bad google reviews already.

I tried contacting the Bayview Village location several times throughout the morning to get a prescription refilled since I could not do it online and I also had decided at that point to transfer my file. I requested a file transfer online and went to the new location where the Pharmacist tried calling and but said he was waiting on the phone for 15 minutes to get someone to pick up (solutions: change voicemail to say that someone will get back within 24 hours or install a callback system). After going to Bayview Village, I inquired and the dismissive attitude of the Pharmacist (Lead?) there was negative. I strongly suggest when hiring people, make sure that they give a better customer experience. When asking her who runs the pharmacy, she just said “Nadia” without bothering to even give a last name because apparently I was supposed to do the legwork instead of her just giving a full name. Her body language and was terrible and respond to a question I had seem to irritate her when she asked “pardon?” I understand that there is a lot of stress/limited bandwidth and so forth but I think that the place could be run better without individuals who can’t control their attitudes and don’t really care about delivery of the message. I also observed attitude with a customer ahead of me as well so this isn’t isolated - I have blood pressure problems and this experience isn’t ideal. If I had more time, I would’ve addressed it directly but I also didn’t want to inconvenience the line. This is basically an edited note of my message I sent directly to that location but want to reiterate that the staff at the Don Mills location are pleasant. I will say the majority of Pharma-staff at Bayview Village are nice with the exception of that one individual.

They don’t exchange or accept returns on perfumes even if you have severe allergic reaction to them. I’ve been a customer for more than six years and I won’t come back here. The lady on the beauty cashier was also rude.

I usually do not write reviews, but I've honestly had enough of this Pharmacy location. To be more specific, the below review is only for the Pharmacy; Canada Post, the Beauty Bar Staff, and general Shoppers Drug Mart floor staff have always been helpful and lovely. If I could give this Pharmacy a 0-star review, I would. The unprofessionalism, incompetency, and dismissal of MULTIPLE patrons that I have witnessed at this pharmacy has been absolutely disgusting. From callers being left on hold for over an hour only to be hung-up on, to not dispensing all the required medications/antibiotics (and not from a lack of stock), the neglect and little desire to help people is unpalatable. I would love to see some change in the way the entire Pharmacy department is run as, echoing other reviewers, the experience at this location has been nothing but awful.

This is the most terrible Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy I've ever been to. There is enough personnel, but all of them are magically busy on the computers and with paperwork, and there is nobody to help customers. I was first in the line and stood there for approximately 30 minutes, while the line was growing bigger. They still ignored me and the others, without saying a word. When I brought it up to the closest employee, she said that she was busy on the computer. Then, when she finally decided to serve the customers, she looked at my prescription and said " We don't have this medication"! Ridiculous! I was buying this pain medication here so many times before! I won't be paying them and will never return here anymore!

It’s ridiculous the way they treat their customers. I visited the store intending to process a return for a Chanel product. I was taken aback when I was informed by the associate, Emily, that my return could not be processed because I had purchased the product from a different location. Not only was this policy not mentioned on the receipt, but when I sought further clarification, Emily provided a misleading explanation by stating that the register machine couldn’t process returns from other stores. As a loyal customer of Shoppers Drug Mart, I felt extremely disrespected during this interaction. While I am hesitant to jump to conclusions, I couldn’t help but feel that there might have been an underlying bias, perhaps based on my Asian background, influencing this treatment. I genuinely hope that this is an isolated incident and not indicative of a larger problem within the company. I trust that Shoppers Drug Mart will address this matter appropriately, ensuring that all customers are treated with the respect and fairness they deserve.

Extremely unprofessional pharmacy. Systematically provides partial fills (despite order being placed weeks in advance) but bills insurance or customer upfront and in full in order to game their working capital. This scummy practise further inconveniences customers by forcing them to return to the store again when the remainder of the prescription is ready for pickup - every single time. For mobility impaired customers this is a massive hassle. Meanwhile there is no communication from the pharmacy team to customers ever. Expect inordinate wait times with frustrated staff and customers.

worst experience at beauty boutique. I purchased a set called serum discovery collection, and it has a coupon inside the box to redeem a full size serum from those selected brands. I tried to redeem the coupon at Bayview beauty boutique store. The salesperson is not very professional, she got the wrong product which is not on the list. After she got the right one, she typed the number showed on the coupon to redeem, and she told me that I can’t redeem it because there is an issue with their system. The cashier manager Doris is very impatient, and she told me that they have escalated this issue with their IT department and they haven’t got a solution yet. They didn’t even say a word to sorry. I asked whether they can take the coupon and give me the product for now. They refused and suggested me to go other store.

This store’s pharmacy staff take the health concerns of their clients as a joke. I am suffering from shingles itch and the staff instead of handing calamine lotion to my caregiver, handed anti allergic meds. In no reputed medical journal, magazine or website it is quoted be it online or offline) that an anti allergic medication can treat itch caused by shingles or chicken pox related itch. But as per the staff of this particular store, it does. I would highly recommend people to go to any other store and this is my 1st such negative experience with any Shoppers store. Normally, I do not write a negative feedback, but since they made my health issue a joke, had to warn general public about the staff of this particular pharmacy. Very disappointed in their attitude and lack of humanity.

Terrible pharmacy service. I'm taking my prescriptions elsewhere. When I go to drop off my prescription I stand there waiting for a long time for somebody to acknowledge me (brutal!) It's happened to me several times. The communication is terrible. I went to refill my prescription and they couldn't get a hold of the doctor and nobody let me know this. I followed up and somebody behind the counter said they would fax the request again. The doctor sent it back with additional refills but I had to call to find out because nobody has bothered to refill my prescription! I call and the line is just busy so I have to go there which I like to avoid. I understand it's a busy time for pharmacies but then fix your system. Get more help. The place is awful. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

The beauty boutique, Canada Post and all other departments are great, but the pharmacy is the total opposite! Very bad experiences with the pharmacy here! I have been trying to fulfill my prescription for the past three days, and every time it takes me more than an hour to phone through. The most frustrating thing is that they pick up in between the hold, listen to what I am calling in for, and instantly puts me back on hold without saying or asking anything! Very unacceptable and rude! Please avoid this pharmacy if possible!

I was shopping in beauty division and Silvia was a very nice and professional lady who helped me a lots. The manager´s assistant was a white lady which was very very impolite and bossy. She might had a bad day but fortunately I was in a very good mood and I did not care.

Recently, I went to get my third booster shot at the Bayview Village Shoppers and it was a quick experience, as far as vaccine clinics go. The staff were clearly focused with their work, but still took time to quickly check me in and remain friendly throughout. We waited only a few minutes until we got our booster shot, and the male pharmacist who administered the vaccine was extremely kind and friendly. We were out of the clinic within 20-minutes. Overall, I had a great experience and would come back to this pharmacy if I need any extra care.

Unfriendly assistant pharmacist. Impatient with senior citizens. Not helpful. Follow up phone call takes 22 minutes to answer. Need people with a heart to work in medical field. They should learn from the other pharmacists working in Shoppers on Leslie between Sheppard and Finch. They are super friendly and helpful.

I am STRONGLY disappointed in the service (or lack thereof) I have received at this pharmacy. The wait times are ridiculously long nearly every time I go to pick up or drop off my prescription. It typically takes 30+ minutes before someone even tries to assist me, even when it is not busy. I have been ignored by staff who end up helping other customers who come after me. On multiple occasions when I have pre-ordered my prescription, the staff do not have it ready when I go to pick it up. To avoid this, I have tried calling ahead of time to ensure it is ready, but guess what, NO ONE answers the phone. I am so fed up with this pharmacy and have decided to switch to another pharmacy that provides much better service. Honestly, do better.

The new pharmacist would put your prescription on hold for no reason or act as your doctor with zero qualification. Also expect to wait 20 minutes on the phone just to get a hold of them and the lady would just hang up on you if you don't speak right away after the 20 min wait. Maybe taking operations management 101 would help? Used to be a great place with friendly and efficient staff but I guess a lot has changed in 2021.

on Tuesday, February 1st at 7 pm. I visited the pharmacy in search of emergency relief medicines for pain in my ribs and stomach. Despite being aware of my injury and hurting and need for medication, the pharmacist ignored my prescription and stated that she was too tired and did not have enough personnel to fill my medicine. When I called the pharmacy beforehand, I was left waiting for over 45 minutes without a response. Additionally, the pharmacist suggested that I "go somewhere else around GTA and find your medicine," which I found to be a completely inappropriate and unethical comment. I am extremely disappointed the service I received and feel that the pharmacist's behavior was unacceptable and transfered all my prescriptions from this store. This was the worst pharmacy experience and customer care that I have encountered.

This is the busiest pharmacy I've ever been in. Hectic is what I see. I used to be a retail consultant and I never in those 9 years as a professional and now as a consumer have seen so much traffic. It often means major patience on behalf of the customers. Not all have that. Staff and pharmacy professionals have been very informative and useful helping me deal with medication questions. I do appreciate their insightful efforts. One thing I appreciate about the professionals in this location is their patience with my questions.

Location is great, but that's about it. 1. When you call the number listed, its comes up as "MoneyGram" which is super confusing, because I thought I was calling somewhere else. 2. The phone wait for pharmacy is horrendous. Spent 1hr waiting to be transferred to someone on for them to be brisk with you. When you go in person you can hear the phone ring but no one will pick it up. Half of the staff in pharmacy looks like their doing nothing, and when you wait at the drop off/pickup they just look at you and they don't come to service you for 10-15 minutes after waiting. 3. Place is so disorganized with their staff, no one seems to know where things are, or tells you to find someone else to help you. The only time you should come here is if you know what your getting or don't mind wasting 20+ minutes of your time - otherwise its easier just to head to the York Mills and Bayview locations down the street.

This is absolutely the worst shoppers I’ve ever been to. Always issues and delays with prescriptions, and one time they lost my prescription! The pharmacy team is incredibly incompetent and bad at explaining things. Never go here. Zero stars

I’ve been getting my prescriptions filled here for around 10 years. However lately they have just been so difficult to deal with!! Every time I need a refill or have to speak to a pharmacist, I have to call at least 3 times and wait on hold for 1 hour to finally speak to someone. They also never seem to have my prescription in stock or ready for pick up, even though I always call days in advance. I know it can get busy, but with 5 people behind the counter it shouldn’t take waiting 1 hour in line just to pick up a prescription that was “already filled”. This really needs to be fixed.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy in terms of customer service. You can expect being on hold for 2 hours and still not get through to a pharmacist. Also, when you go in person to order your medication after not being able to get a hold of anyone on the phone, you can then expect to wait another 30-1 hour just to order your medication. The scariest part is there are at least 5-6 people working in the pharmacy and only 1 pharmacist servicing customers. What the other ones are doing baffles me. They are just staring at a computer screen behind the counter. The craziest thing is no one was even picking up the phones when they were ringing. Do not use this pharmacy if you don’t have 3 hours out of your day to get your medication.

I often call this Shoppers for work purposes because I am health care professional at a hospital. The pharmacy staff always put our calls on hold for over 15 mins. And it has been 25 mins so far at this very moment. I would give ZERO STAR rating if permits.

Expect to wait hours to get a prescription filled when you need it, or days if you ask for a refill. Another 30 mins waiting in line just to pick up the prescriptions when they are ready. This has happened several times now. 3 staff at the pharmacy but way more in the makeup area. I wanted a local pharmacy for reliability but this location is just horribly understaffed. Do them a favour and take your prescriptions somewhere else.

The pharmacy in particular is very busy and under staffed. Most of the staff there are helpful but I consistently have to come back for my prescription even if I came the day before and place order. There was a staff member name Azin that stood there for the entirety of my visit once and did nothing but talk to people and added zero value. This makes waiting even more annoying.

Only person at the pharmacy after 6 pm. Customers fight all the time for pick up and drop off. Update: Also dropped off prescription a 3 PM. Was told 1 hr for processing. Came back at 7 PM to find out that the prescription wasn't ready. Because there was only pharmacist guess who started prepping my prescription, Shoppers regular employee who works at the counter on the lower floor. If this is not a violation not sure what is. @Shoppers needs to pull Nadia Filippetto's license. Last time I ever go there. Also for all of you reading this there's a pharmacy (independently owned right across from Bayview village). Pharmacy fees are cheaper, and pickup is ready in 30 minutes usually.

Rude pharmacist. My fiance and I asked a question and as we were walking away the male pharmacist working at the time ( Dec. 28 approx. 7:45PM) mumbled outloud "You would think this is a walk-in clinic." Very rude, unprofessional, and uncalled for. Get another job if you can't handle a simple question (we were looking for a topical numbing cream). The owner of this pharmacy has many issues to address, judging from the many other negative reviews.

Literally a terrible pharmacy experience. I wish I could give zero stars. I urgently needed medication and my doctor accidentally sent my prescription here instead of to the Loblaws pharmacy at Bayview Village Mall. I called to have my prescription transferred and they talked me out of it, saying my prescription was in stock and could be picked up in an hour. When I arrived, they hadn’t filled it. After 15 mins of waiting, they finally told me that the stock they had expired over a YEAR before, and that I would have to wait for the next day to pick up my medication after 6pm. By this point, it was too late to get it from my regular pharmacy that day. They promised they would text me as soon as it arrived the next day. The next day, of course, no text. I finally called them 20 mins before closing and was left on hold and told my medication was in, but I barely had time to get there now. I showed up to pick up the meds, only to be kept waiting because one person was helping a complex patient, while other people weren’t helping anyone. Don’t worry though - they sent me a text that my medication was ready to pick up AFTER I finally got it. The delay in receiving my medication has direct impacts on my health.

The Pharmacy Department at this location is horrible. They simply don't care about how they treat their patrons. Some serious corporate change needs to be implemented at this location, it is giving a bad name to SGM Pharmacies as a whole. I think today I have officially had enough and rather drive further for better service. Writing this review while being forgotten on hold for the last time. Just don't pick up the phone if you won't return to it, it's a simple concept.

Waiting at the boutique cashier, no one was helping. 2:18pm, two woman clerks talked about their kids going to college at the Clarins counter and watched people line up at the cashier. Very terrible attitude. Can someone TRAIN their employees properly about how to provide customer service?

I used to really like the Pharmacy at this location but the past few months has been nothing but frustration! The automated prescription system over the phone does not always work and when it transfers you to speak to a pharmacist, they never pick up. I've been sitting on hold for a long time before giving up. This has happened many times to the point that I had to drive there myself to talk to someone at pharmacy. This has been so frustrating.

The worst shoppers Pharmacy ever! Been a loyal customer ever since with this location, until today I’m very disappointed and angry with their services. Keep all customers line up waiting for hour to drop off prescription while the staff are chatting over some internal things ignoring customers feeling anxiously waiting. Or handle other issues leave other customers idling without or even care to at least let customers know for the extra wait. Staff not helping each other to take care of customers but leaving more and more customers lining up. Or the best ironically what they do is to tell customer to go to Loblaws pharmacy’s! What a joke! Hope the owner knows how they ruin the business and scare the loyal customers away from this worst experienced location.

I have tried to be patient over the last 5 years going to this pharmacy, but the customer service continues to get worse and worse. Prescriptions are never filled, they never answer the phone, you wait hours in the store even to talk to someone, most inventory is continuously on back order, they refuse to work with physicians to come up with solutions regarding this issue, and in particular today the pharmacist was incredibly rude. It’s very disappointing that this has become the consistent experience at this location.
