Dr. Gerald Fung is terrible. I got severe headache for a few days till I couldn't take it anymore. I arrived in his walk- in clinic at 4:13 pm. He won't accept me by saying they closed at 5pm. I begged them that I only needed pain killer, instead they sent me to another clinic 20 km away. I was told that clinic opens till 7pm and accept walk-in. I was desperate to find out what was wrong with me and also glad to see different doctor because my experience with Dr. Fung is always nightmare . When i got there, I was told they won't accept walk in. The front desk booked me an appointment for next day, the doctor was him again. I was shocked why I just couldn't get away from him. I was expecting a real doctor who will be better than him. So I started to search Appletree near-me clinic just for avoiding this so called "doctor ". Since I could not find one, I had to go to see him. I got there on time and i didn't see any other patients around. He did not see me after 35 minutes of my appointment time. He did not do any test and told me I need antibiotics. I asked him what about my intense headache, and I need some pain killer to help me go through the day. he told me to go to hospital without any explanation. I can't imagine what kind of doctor he is. Doctor suppose to heal people but he gave me more headache and stress. I wonder if Appletree review their doctors conduct every year. If the doctor works for nothing else but money, that would be disaster for patients. Shame on him.

Unfortunate to say i didnt have a good experience today... the clinic itself is spacious and i luckily didnt have a long wait, however by the time I spoke with the doctor i felt quite upset by the tone i was spoken to in. Basically felt like he mustve had a bad day or something. But when you are speaking to patients in such a tone it will rub off on them and leave them feeling negative after visiting. I don't like to write bad reviews but I I think being a bit more compassionate as a doctor is very important.

Sad to say that these Google reviews are true. He seemed completely "stressed out" and in a bad mood so he tried to quickly misdiagnose me based on my previous ailment. The conversation lasted about 2 minutes, even though I travelled there at 8 AM and there was nobody in the lineup. So disappointing. I recommend going to a hospital like TEGH or somewhere else. Walk-in clinics are absolutely terrible.

DONT GO! I had the most insenstive painful pap exam ever - I do paps myself as a health care professional, and these people dont know what the hell they are doing - literally jammed the speculum, hitting and injuring my cervix. Did not explain or guide me through it. If you are looking to get a pap please DONT GO HERE.

One of the poorest walk-in experiences in my medical history. A 15-minute late that quickly became 2-hours for a doctor to dismissively stride into the room, poke an active injury once and say "you should probably get that scanned" and then leave. To add insult to the already painful injury, the wait took so long that the opportunity to even get scans done that day was passed, so I waited 4 more days in significant pain to, at this point, still not have a sense of the damage done or a procedure of care.

The worst. Website indicated walk in appts open from 9am, registration starts at 8:45. Take my sick toddler in. Guy at front desk says no walk ins today. I advise website says different. He tells me I'm lying? I show him the page on my phone. He then does something on his computer, then asks me to refresh the page on my phone. It now shows no walk ins. Front desk guy is now telling me to take my sick toddler out of the location as they have no walk ins and I'm exposing others. I literally came because website said walk ins available. Poor service, rude and incompetent staff.

This review is for Dr. Pushie. I went to a walk-in-clinic. He was SO thorough and kind, talking me through my symptoms. Not discounting the pain I was experiencing. Walking me through reasons it wasn't a, b, c medical illness. Very happy with my experience.

Dr. Gerald Fung, he is worst doctor ever seen in the history of medical. I went to him asking for cold cough and skin problem. So he said I address only problem per appointment. So now I need to book 3 separate appointments. Never arrives clinic on time, late by 30-40 mins. Apple tree should take action against such doctor.

Honestly shouldve read the reviews but I found staff very unprofessional they even laughed at me when I made a mistake with the multiple addresses that they have. Even though I was never told an address and recently just moved to Scarborough. I recently turned 18 and I have very intense anxiety so making me wait 48 hours to find out the only issue was dehydration. Then when I asked the doctor if there was a better approach for those who got a call and can't have the results off the phone instead have to spend lots of money to go there and back when they live in a homeless shelter. Just to be told your a danger of dehydration. Really would've taken the extra time to drink water!

I wish i could give zero stars. Stay away from this location atleast. I came as a walk in at 3pm and was supposed to be notified by text when it was my turn. At 5:20pm so i go in to check on the wait and the front desk said thats weird it seems the doctor already has seen you. The absolute worst so did they confuse another patient with my medical file? If so extremely unprofessional.

Unfortunately that’s one that doesn’t improve with time. Receptionist not welcoming, doctors totally rushing to get to the next patients, fees increased and are really high ($55 for a form to be completed by a dr)… Problem is they now tend to all be money grab. Hippocrates must be turning in his grave

The worst service ever. The front desk lady did not know how to arrange patients in timely manner. We passed our appointment time by 40 mins and nobody shows up or asked or called out our names. I would never recommend this place. After long time when the lady came out me and my husband asked her about our appointment and she said i will come back but still no response and action taken. Worst staffing. Appletree should be considering all the reviews and training the staff. Even after mentioning to her showing our emails of appointment, she kept on taking other walk-in patients and did not attend us!

Worst virtual care experiences ever! I had a virtual care appointment back in the first lockdown and they were over 2 hours late to call me for my appointment because they said I did not fill out the intake form, although I filled it out right after I booked my appointment and my account said it was received. By the time they figured it out, I wasted my whole day on this appointment. Yesterday, I had a virtual care appointment to sign some forms and I received the form back blank after I paid $35 for it. Appletree never fails to disappoint. I will be looking for a new clinic now. I would give 0 stars if I could.

I booked two virtual appointments for my COVID positive husband, who was suffering so much. I needed help. They never called me or my husband. I am utterly disappointed. If you don’t call the patient then DO NOT OFFER VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS

There are many negative reviews on here but I am going to describe my experience. I walked in at about six PM on a Wednesday evening. I had a very nasty sliver embedded and wanted a doctor to extract it. I agree with some of the other reviewers...the reception was not friendly, but it was quick. I sat for a maximum of five minutes and was able to see a doctor who did the procedure, gave me a prescription for an antibiotic "just in case" and I was out the door in a total of fifteen minutes. You really cannot beat that for efficient service. Perhaps if I was looking for a diagnosis of an ailment it would have been different. The clinic was large, clean, bright with ample waiting room seating. The building in which it is located is wheelchair accessible. There is ample parking in the building's own lot. These is a drug store and a medical lab on the same premises. Given my experience I would probably go there again if I needed fast treatment.

It is a disrespect to patients to make them wait more than 1 hour for a medical appointment that was already scheduled! They schedule patients every 15 minutes and then delay them by 1 hour 1 hour and a half! Saying they have too many patients! If they can not meet and standard do not offer service capacity!

I don’t know what to do with the intensity of anger in me right now other than leave a negative review. I had an appointment with an allergy specialist today at 10:45 am, I’ve gotten emails and calls to confirm this appointment. Because I don’t drive, and because I didn’t want to take three buses, I spent $15 on an Uber to get here. When I do, I see a dark and shuttered clinic and another mom waiting with her infant in a stroller on the phone with one of the least helpful support lines known to man. The clinic is closed. They felt it unnecessary to inform their patients who have CONFIRMED appointments with them that the clinic is closed. They thought it’d be cool to make people travel to a closed clinic right before the holidays. They can easily send “confirm your apt” emails but not “hey! The clinic is closed” emails. To appointments that are booked months in advance! And when you call Appletree they say “ya oops it’s closed. Do u want to reschedule?” Are you kidding me? At the very least, be truly apologetic? they should reimburse the costs incurred by their absolute disregard and lack of respect for their patients but any level of care is obviously too much to ask for. Like I know the state of healthcare in this province and this country is a sham, but my god do I wish we could at least pretend it wasn’t.

Waited for over 2 hours, even though I made an appt the day before. I needed forms signed, he didn’t even walk into the room, he got the med secretary to come and tell me that he wouldn’t sign anything I had. He didn’t look any of the paperwork he just dismissed me. I drove out of my way to go to this one because they were the only centre with appt available. I’m so frustrated!

Most unprofessional health care facility and professionals I came across entire life. My wife was having blood in her cough. We did Covid 19 test 4 times already each time negative. Online doctors told us to go in-person and get examined hospital asked us to do Covid 19 test and to go to walk in clinic, and this clinic told gave us appointment and after long wait a guy comes and tells us that doctor does not want to see the patient with cough and it was their policy and I we did not get any notification or forms for such. we had shown them proof of vaccination, recent covid 19 test report. They made complete joke out of our time and our psychology. I would never go back to any of this clinic. By the way the rating would be in negative, i am compelled to give 1 star to post this.

If giving zero stars were an option I would. Unprofessional, very long wait times even when you've made an appointment, which is quite inconvenient when you're under the weather or in immense amounts of pain as most people visiting doctors are. Dismissive doctors that can't even fill in paperwork properly, you'd be better off sitting in emerg for hours, at least there's a competent doctor at the end of the wait

Do not use this company for medical services. My experience was terrible to the point of dangerous. The doctor himself was curt, almost rude, but that’s not the issue. I had an appointment for my child. After that appointment I had to get blood work done. Once that was done I waited for results. Nothing. I went to login to Appletree, and it would not recognize my login. I use a password manager so I know it’s the right password. So I attempted a password reset. It said my email was unrecognized. Despite the fact that they had sent me emails to that address (not this Google account). I tried “forgot username”, and it still said it did not recognize that address. Ok, let me try to contact support. They redirect you to a login. Ok, let me call them. Surely I can talk to someone? There was no way to talk to anyone. In fact, when I pressed 2, and then 3, as requested by the prompts, I was sent right back to the main menu. Try 0? Nope, no way to talk to anyone. So, a serious blood test, which needed immediate attention, could never be addressed. As far as I know, they deleted results from the blood work, because obviously they deleted the account. Why? No idea. My appointment with the doctor was cordial, and there was no other interaction at all. They literally put my child in a dangerous situation due to their negligence.

I believe Dr are very good. But the punctuation on time being is worst. Waiting time is 4 hours even booked in 2 hours..! And recipients say welcome to go! Not respectful at all..! You’ll gonna know if you go once..! Not manage well..!

My friend booked an app the day before and over night her illness got worse, we got here 20 minutes before our appointment and registered. 20 minutes past the appointed time the receptionist is telling us the Doctor did not come in today and we must go somewhere else. Terrible clinic and worse staff

Apple Tree Medical is terrible medical group. Customer service is terrible. Health Canada should be notified to permanently close this group. Don’ t go there Every time when I need to contact them I have issue. On Saturday I had an appointment at 1:00 pm, doctor came to see me at 2:00( waiting 1hr) Today my husband had a phone appt. at 2:50 just for prescription. Dr Arumugam called me on my cell at 4:45 asking for my husband because he said that he called my husband and he didn’t pick up phone. My husband didn’t have any missed calls. I called customer service , they are very rude, to ask them to pass message to doctor and they said we need to book a new appointment and put me on hold but after a minute she disconnected me. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE SERVICE

It's worst experience ever in my life I come to apple tree medical clinic for my tb test, i am done with two step and after my first step they didn't gave me any form and notes for tb test result and when after my second test I asked them for my result they told me that Dr pushie didn't upload that so you have to come again on Monday. Basically every time the staff make excuses and I had to come again and again. Totally, it is my 8th visit to the apple tree due their mismanagement as well as lack of information provided by them. I suffered a lot becausi am a new student here in Canada and I am facing this trouble triggered me a lot as well as it is cost me a lot also as I am not living here so I need to travel by bus . Do apple tree medical clinic pay me for their mismanagement system?? 😞😞

Rashad (Medical Nurse/Assistant) was spectacular in listening and summarizing my symptoms to the doctor for me (during telehealth in clinic call). I was just amazed at the attention to detail and quickness of it all. I left with my much needed antibiotics and was happy with my experience. 5 stars for Rashad. I see a lot of negative reviews and while I was in the room my husband observed someone being told they “maybe” don’t do walk ins today from a male receptionist so the potential patient walked away frustrated, meanwhile I went in as a walk-in. A lady came in next literally 2 minutes later and was told by someone else they were actually doing walk ins and signed her in. The front of house staff need proper training on procedure and process it seems. And maybe customers service skills. They also had an address on file which they put on my prescription from 16 years ago! The last time I went to an apple tree walk In. They didn’t bother checking those details first. Definitely needs management oversight and intervention if they wish to be a trusted clinic in the neighbourhood

I gave 1 because I cannot give less. I pittbull with unknown owner bite me on Saturday, May 13, I went in emergency to the hospital. They told me to start the rabies vaccinations (you can imagine my frustration, depression and desperation). I waited 8 hours at the hospital to wait for my first shot. Then Public Health told me to contact one of the clinic closest to my house, Apple tree. First of all, there is just the main number and main email address that they do not communicate through the branches. I did the second shot at 1450 o Connor drive and they ordered the other shot (day 14). Because the doctor was not available for my third shot, they told me to go at 2025 Midland and they booked the appointment. Public Health told me that was not able to contact the doctor at Midland (in their website there is no phone number to call, just the main phone and if you need to communicate with the branch simply they do not do it). I wanted two hours in the queue at Midland and after two hours they told me they do not have the vaccine. So the only option is to go to the hospital, wait for minimum 8 hours to have a shot. This company is useless, unhelpful, from the front desk to the doctor's. Go everywhere but not here.

I just noticed they have a 2-star rating. I don't wonder why, when u inter, u will see a paper saying to stay polite but after waiting for more than an hour while the website said 15 minutes I had to start dealing with that reception who have zero communication skill zero knowledge they need to throw that paper in the garbage and train thier front desk ape 0 communication skills 0 patience 0 IQ

This is the 'fast food industry' service of clinic's. General Practitioner's are the gatekeepers to proper health care. Why can't i just make an appointment with a specialist? I came here for a referral and/or a prescription. The Gp's opinion is irrelevant and their job is obselite. You are doing the same thing in person that you are doing on the phone.

I've been there twice and quite happy. I do not go for diagnostic, I went to have doctor do an injection for me that I usually self administer but because my hand was in a cast i couldn't. Not only did they do that they arranged for a homecare nurse to come weekly for as long as I wasn't. That's not all. The doctor followed up with me a couple of days later to make sure the nurse was coming . I've lost my GP of 40 years to retirement this month and I'm just sad that Applebee's is only walk in.

Not sure why there have been a lot of negative reviews, this is a nicely run medical clinic. Staff and doctors are friendly, professional, and show care. Wait times vary depending on when you go to the walk-in, but early in the morning / during working hours I didn’t have to wait too long to be seen.

Walked in to see a doctor during their posted walk in hours. I was given attitude by the person in the front as I was told the walk in was closed early today and I asked why the walk in is closed hours before their posted time… I was told and I quote “because the doctor decided to do so, so that’s why.”

They gave me a piece of paper that stated that I have an appointment at 2:40pm. I was here at sharp 2:30pm, after waiting for 1hr long when I spoke to them they said they don’t do appointments for the same day. But they gave me a piece of paper which clearly says I have an appointment at 2:40pm. The front desk guy was rude to me and asked me to wait and he can do nothing at this time. I wish I could give them a negative rating.

Doctors are really unprofessional and do not privide any proper instructions. They don't provide any particular information with the appointments as well as provide details of the test. I visited performing TB test and they did not provide my result for the first test and then on second one they said they don't have the details of first test on the system. This is so unprofessional from the doctors and staff members.
